Translate a YouTube Transcript
With Every Timestamp Kept
Translate a transcript into one of 45 languages. Each translated line keeps its original timestamp, and the original is always one click away.
AI translation is included with Basic, Pro and Studio.
The Problem
The video you need is in a language you do not read. Pasting a long transcript into a translator loses the timestamps, so you can no longer find the moment in the video.
The Solution
Open the transcript in ChannelScout and choose a language. The translation is made line by line, so every line keeps its timestamp in the video.
How Translation Works
45 Languages
Translate into languages including English, Spanish, French, German, Arabic, Russian, Chinese, Japanese, Hindi and Portuguese.
Timestamps Intact
One translated line per original line, with the same start time, so you can still find each moment in the video.
Search the Translation
Search works on whichever text is shown: the original or the translation.
Labelled Honestly
Translations are marked "AI translation from" the source language, with a note that they may contain errors.
TXT, SRT or VTT
Download the translation as text with timestamps, SRT or VTT subtitles. The note is included in the TXT and VTT files.
Saved Transcripts Too
Translate from the Transcribe page or from any transcript saved in your Library.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is translation available on the free plan?
No. AI translation is included with Basic, Pro and Studio, within a monthly fair-use allowance. Translating the same text into the same language again uses the saved result and does not count.
How accurate is it?
It is machine translation, so it can be wrong, especially with names, slang and poor source captions. Check important lines against the original before you quote them.
Is there a length limit?
A single translation accepts transcripts up to 3 hours long.
