[0:00] I'm Dan Rather in New York and Vicki

[0:01] Mabry in near Waco with an update on the

[0:04] 51-day standoff outside Waco Texas

[0:07] earlier this morning armored vehicles

[0:08] entered cult leader David korres's

[0:10] compound and began punching large holes

[0:13] in the walls Croatian about 90 of his

[0:16] followers are believed to be inside so

[0:18] far this morning one man is believed to

[0:21] have left the compound all others

[0:23] believed to be still in it it is not

[0:25] clear however exactly what is going on

[0:27] or has been going on about 45 minutes

[0:29] ago one of the federal agents tanks

[0:31] punched a hole in the front door of the

[0:33] compound earlier agents jumped out of

[0:36] the back of another armored vehicle and

[0:37] began tossing tear gas into what appears

[0:40] to be an underground bunker where most

[0:42] of the cult members are believed to be

[0:44] holed up the wind is up outside the

[0:46] compound and much of the gas apparently

[0:48] was dispersed right now you're looking

[0:50] at a live picture from outside the

[0:52] compound about all that can be seen is

[0:54] Damage Done by the tanks and other

[0:57] armored vehicles the FBI says it'll hold

[0:59] a news conference in about a half hour

[1:00] CBS News will be standing by for further
