[0:45] good morning and welcome to revelation

[0:47] revealed this is week number seven

[0:49] and as you can see the rapture hasn't

[0:52] happened when we recorded this video

[0:54] but we'll see what happens in the next

[0:56] few weeks

[0:57] we are excited to see you this morning

[1:00] for you to see us as we dive into

[1:03] revelation revealed you know there's a

[1:05] lot of questions

[1:06] about what's happening in the world and

[1:09] we want you to keep watching these

[1:10] videos as we begin

[1:12] to get into some more issues with that

[1:14] but

[1:15] today grab your bibles and go to

[1:17] revelation chapter 4.

[1:19] we're going to be in verses 6 through 11

[1:22] revelation

[1:22] 4 6 through 11. the bible

[1:26] says in verse number 6 and before the

[1:28] throne

[1:29] there was a sea of glass like unto

[1:32] crystal

[1:33] and in the midst of the throne and round

[1:35] about the throne

[1:36] were four beasts full of eyes before

[1:40] and behind we're gonna stop right there

[1:42] and go back to the beginning of that

[1:44] phrase

[1:45] before the throne we're talking about

[1:46] the throne of god remember john's been

[1:49] taken up and he's got a vision of heaven

[1:51] in the spirit and he's seeing this

[1:54] throne of god

[1:55] he sees the other thrones as we talked

[1:57] about last week with the four and 20

[1:59] elders

[2:00] representatives of the saved of all time

[2:03] as they

[2:04] worshipped the lamb and worship around

[2:06] the throne

[2:07] john has seen the seven spirits of the

[2:10] holy spirit the representation

[2:12] of the holy spirit with the seven lamps

[2:15] that are there

[2:16] now he's noticing that there is a sea of

[2:18] glass like under crystal

[2:20] what he's talking about is describing

[2:22] the sea the sea

[2:24] is so clear it is crystal clear

[2:28] like unto glass and in the midst of the

[2:30] throne and round about the throne he

[2:32] says we're

[2:34] four beasts full of eyes before

[2:37] and behind continues on in verse number

[2:40] seven watch with us

[2:41] and the first beast was like a lion and

[2:44] the second beast like a calf

[2:46] the third beast had a face says a man

[2:48] and the fourth beast was like a flying

[2:51] eagle

[2:52] and the four beasts had each of them six

[2:54] wings about them

[2:55] and they were full of eyes within and

[2:58] they rest not day and night saying holy

[3:01] holy holy

[3:03] lord god almighty which was

[3:06] and is and is to come and when those

[3:09] beasts give glory and honor and thanks

[3:11] to him that sat on the throne

[3:13] who liveth forever and ever

[3:16] the four and twenty elders fall down

[3:18] before him

[3:20] that sat on the throne and worship him

[3:23] that liveth forever

[3:24] and ever and cast their crowns before

[3:27] the throne saying

[3:28] thou art worthy o lord to receive glory

[3:32] and honor

[3:33] and power for thou hast created all

[3:36] things

[3:37] and for thy pleasure they are and were

[3:41] created now these four beasts

[3:44] wow what a picture what is john seeing

[3:48] here and the best commentary

[3:52] on the bible is the bible

[3:56] so he sees a vision here of these beasts

[4:00] or creatures flying about and he

[4:03] describes them

[4:04] but you know these beasts are also found

[4:06] in other portions of scripture this

[4:08] scene

[4:09] that john is seeing has been seen by two

[4:13] other men that i'd like to point out to

[4:14] you

[4:15] in scripture and they recorded it for us

[4:19] the first one is in isaiah chapter

[4:21] number six

[4:22] the prophet isaiah tells us when he saw

[4:26] the lord highly lifted up upon his

[4:28] throne and it was in verse number one in

[4:30] the year that king usaia time

[4:33] he says in verse two above it stood the

[4:36] seraphims each one had six wings

[4:40] with twain he covered his face and which

[4:42] white he covered his feet

[4:44] and with twain he did fly and one cried

[4:47] unto them

[4:48] another and said holy holy

[4:51] holy is the lord of hosts the whole

[4:54] earth is full of his glory

[4:56] isaiah saw the lord's throne he saw it

[4:59] high lifted up

[5:00] and he saw the splend splendorous sight

[5:03] of the lord's throne room he saw these

[5:06] creatures

[5:08] he describes them as seraphims flying

[5:10] around and

[5:12] crying out holy holy holy in fact in

[5:15] isaiah 6 2 he says at verse 3

[5:18] actually they cried one another said

[5:21] holy holy holy

[5:22] is the lord of hosts and in revelation

[5:25] chapter 4

[5:26] verse number 8 they say holy holy holy

[5:29] lord god almighty the decree

[5:33] crying out of the holiness of god i want

[5:36] to remind you that

[5:38] god's number one attribute is his

[5:40] holiness

[5:41] everything functions through the

[5:43] holiness of god

[5:45] he continues on though in ezekiel

[5:47] chapter number one

[5:49] verses four through thirteen let's look

[5:51] at that together

[5:52] ezekiel said i looked and behold a

[5:54] whirlwind came out of the north

[5:57] a great cloud and a fire enfolding

[5:59] itself

[6:00] and a brightness was about it and out of

[6:02] the midst thereof as the color of amber

[6:05] out of the midst of fire also out of the

[6:07] midst thereof came the likeness

[6:09] of four living creatures and this was

[6:11] their appearance

[6:13] they had the likeness of a man and

[6:15] everyone had four faces

[6:17] and everyone had four wings and their

[6:19] feet were straight feet

[6:21] the sole of their feet was like the sole

[6:22] of a calves foot

[6:24] and they sparkled like the color of

[6:26] burnished brass

[6:27] and they had the hands of a man under

[6:29] their wings

[6:30] and on their four sides and they four

[6:32] had their faces and their wings

[6:35] their wings were joined one to another

[6:37] they turned not when they went and they

[6:39] went to everyone straight forward

[6:42] as for the likeness of the faces they

[6:44] four had a face of a man

[6:46] the face of a lion on the right side and

[6:49] the four had the face of an ox on the

[6:50] left side

[6:51] the four also had the face of an eagle

[6:54] thus were the faces

[6:55] and their wings were stretched upward

[6:58] two wings of every one were joined one

[7:00] to another

[7:01] and two covered their bodies and they

[7:04] went everyone straight forward

[7:06] whether the spirit was to go they went

[7:08] and they turned not

[7:10] when they went as for the likeness of

[7:12] the living creatures their appearance

[7:13] was like burning coals of fire like

[7:16] appearance of lamps

[7:17] and went up and down among the living

[7:19] creatures and the fire was bright

[7:21] and out of the fire went forth lightning

[7:24] and the living creatures ran and

[7:25] returned

[7:26] as the appearance of a flash of

[7:28] lightning

[7:30] ezekiel here also seeing that throne

[7:32] room of god

[7:33] seeing these creatures now you say well

[7:36] preacher

[7:36] i heard you say ezekiel said four

[7:40] wings isaiah said six

[7:43] john said six in revelation which one is

[7:46] it

[7:46] the answer is six now ezekiel tells us

[7:50] that the wings he saw that

[7:52] two of them were joined together he

[7:55] talks about them

[7:56] having to join together and two covering

[7:59] their body

[8:00] i want to remind you of this let me help

[8:03] you this

[8:03] this morning as you're watching this an

[8:06] eyewitness

[8:07] of anything can only tell you

[8:11] what he can see from his perspective

[8:15] they can only identify what they can see

[8:18] from their angle of the incident

[8:22] their perspective of the incident they

[8:24] can only describe those things

[8:27] so isaiah ezekiel and john

[8:30] are all three witnesses of the throne

[8:33] room of god

[8:34] they all give us insight into their

[8:37] perspectives

[8:38] of what they saw but i want you to

[8:41] conclude with me that this

[8:43] this is a magnificent sign this is

[8:45] something

[8:47] extraordinary there's four beasts here

[8:50] they're full of eyes eyes everywhere

[8:53] they have a face of a lion a face of a

[8:56] calf a face of a man a

[8:58] face of an eagle in john's perspective

[9:00] he only saw one of each face but

[9:03] from the angle he was at that's possibly

[9:05] how he saw it they each have six wings

[9:09] and they cry

[9:10] holy holy holy now there is a lot of

[9:14] speculation

[9:15] and a lot of interpretation on what

[9:19] these things

[9:19] are but i want to point out something

[9:23] it's very clear the bible says

[9:27] what they are now there can be many

[9:30] applications to what they're seeing

[9:34] one of the popular applications and i

[9:37] would agree it's very

[9:38] evident here is that they have applied

[9:41] this

[9:42] the vision of the beast to be symbolic

[9:45] of the

[9:46] attributes of god the eyes dealing with

[9:49] the omnipresence and the

[9:51] omniscience of god the face of the lying

[9:53] being the king of the beasts the

[9:55] omnipotence

[9:56] of god the calf or the ox is the

[9:59] patience of god

[10:00] oh how he's patient with us he's long

[10:03] suffering

[10:04] the eagle the sovereignty of god some

[10:08] have even looked at these visas and said

[10:10] oh these are

[10:11] pictures of the four gospels and their

[10:14] message

[10:15] how that the lion representing the king

[10:18] of

[10:19] judah and the book of matthew as matthew

[10:21] presents him as the jewish king

[10:24] and the calf of the ox is a servant

[10:27] animal like mark presents jesus as the

[10:30] servant there the man or the

[10:33] humanity of christ in the book of luke

[10:36] and how luke presents

[10:38] the humanity of christ the eagle soaring

[10:41] above the clouds being the divine

[10:43] son of god as john describes him

[10:46] all of these applications can be applied

[10:51] but we must be careful when we look at

[10:53] scripture and try to apply it to areas

[10:56] that are already defined or in other

[10:58] words to make it fit

[11:00] the picture we see we've got to be

[11:03] careful of that

[11:05] but i can tell you without any

[11:08] reservedness at all

[11:10] there were creatures that had these

[11:14] unique characteristics

[11:16] that flew around and declared a message

[11:19] saying

[11:20] holy holy holy

[11:24] god is a holy god and it's going to be a

[11:27] magnificent sight

[11:29] to see the throne of god to see

[11:32] the lamb of god which took away the sins

[11:34] of the world

[11:36] to see the representations of the holy

[11:38] spirit there

[11:39] around the throw room to see the lake as

[11:42] clear

[11:42] as crystal to see the four and twenty

[11:45] elders as they fall down

[11:47] and worship him those elders

[11:51] representing those that

[11:52] have believed and have been saved

[11:54] throughout all time

[11:56] you'll notice in our text it says that

[11:58] they in verse number 10 they cast their

[12:01] crowns before the throne

[12:03] saying thou art worthy oh our lord is

[12:06] worthy

[12:08] to receive glory and honor and power

[12:12] for thou hast created all things and for

[12:15] thy pleasure they are and were created

[12:18] there's a lot of applications to the

[12:21] different vision of the beast

[12:23] but i want to make it very very clear

[12:27] the bible is the greatest commentary

[12:30] of itself there are beings that god has

[12:34] created

[12:35] whose sole purpose is to point

[12:38] us to the divine authority

[12:42] power omniscience on the presence

[12:47] holiness of our god

[12:50] and it points us in that direction so my

[12:53] friend remember this

[12:55] god is holy and there's a creature in

[12:59] heaven that

[13:00] every day all day

[13:03] cries out how holy our god is

[13:08] so revelation chapter 4 concludes with

[13:12] us

[13:12] this picture of the throne room of god

[13:16] but something exciting is about to

[13:19] happen

[13:20] something's about to happen that's going

[13:22] to cause the elders

[13:24] to change their position if something's

[13:26] about to happen

[13:27] that's going to unlock what god's plan

[13:30] is upon this earth

[13:33] during the tribulation period and it's

[13:35] all going to happen

[13:37] when the lamb of god steps forth from

[13:40] the right hand of the throne of god

[13:42] and does something that's so exciting

[13:45] that you're going to have to tune in

[13:46] next week to find out

[13:48] because i'm not going to tell you right

[13:49] now but again

[13:52] remember this the next thing on god's

[13:54] prophetic calendar

[13:55] is the rapture of the church today

[13:59] are you ready to meet him
