[0:54] Good evening. President Obama, the head
[0:56] of the United Nations, and other world
[0:59] leaders are trying to head off a ground
[1:01] war tonight. They're urging Israel not
[1:04] to invade Gaza, and they're trying to
[1:06] get Gaza to stop firing rockets into
[1:08] Israel. Israeli jets pounded
[1:10] neighborhoods in Gaza again today. At
[1:13] least 100 Palestinians are dead, more
[1:16] than 800 injured since the air strikes
[1:19] began last week. In the same period,
[1:22] three Israeli civilians have died.
[1:25] Israel says Hamas has fired more than a
[1:28] thousand rockets from Gaza. We have
[1:30] correspondents covering this story
[1:32] tonight in Israel, in Egypt, where
[1:35] indirect peace talks are being held, and
[1:38] in Gaza. We begin there WITH CHARLIE
