[19:59] number one going to read the first 10

[20:01] verses tonight so if you're able would

[20:03] you please stand in honor of the word of

[20:06] God Jeremiah chapter 1 we'll read verses

[20:10] 1 through verse 10

[20:13] tonight the words of Jeremiah the son of

[20:16] hilaya the of the priest that were in

[20:19] anoth in the land of Benjamin to whom

[20:22] the word of the Lord came in the days of

[20:24] Josiah the son of Amon king of Judah the

[20:28] 13th year of his Reign came also in the

[20:31] days of Joakim the son of Josiah King o

[20:34] of Judah unto the end of the 11th year

[20:37] of zedekiah the son of Josiah king of

[20:41] Judah until the carrying away of

[20:44] Jerusalem captive in the fifth month so

[20:48] Jeremiah's writings here the book of

[20:50] Jeremiah he's just given us the

[20:51] introduction of how long his ministry is

[20:55] going to be and what God's going to use

[20:57] him to do verse number four

[20:59] then the word of the Lord came unto me

[21:00] saying before I formed thee in the belly

[21:04] I knew thee before thou camest forth out

[21:06] of the womb I Sanctified thee and I

[21:10] ordained thee a prophet unto the Nations

[21:13] then said I ah Lord God behold I cannot

[21:17] speak for I Am a Child the Lord said

[21:21] unto me say not I am a child for Thou

[21:24] shalt go to all that I shall send thee

[21:27] and whatsoever I command thee Thou shalt

[21:31] speak be not afraid of their faces for I

[21:35] am with thee to deliver thee sayeth the

[21:37] Lord then the Lord put forth his hand

[21:39] and touched my mouth the Lord said unto

[21:42] me behold I have put my words in thy

[21:44] mouth see I have this day set thee over

[21:47] the Nations and over the kingdoms to

[21:50] root out to pull down and to destroy and

[21:55] to throw down and to build and and to

[21:59] plant Jeremiah's life is an

[22:02] encouragement to us all that God has a

[22:05] plan to use

[22:08] imperfect people God has a plan to use

[22:14] imperfect people will you be

[22:18] one will you be one let's go Lord in

[22:21] prayer tonight dear heavenly father Lord

[22:22] I Thank you for the opportunity to

[22:24] preach your word tonight Lord I pray if

[22:26] you would please cleanse me of sin and

[22:27] empty me in my myself that I might get

[22:29] out of the way this morning and your

[22:31] word may go forth Lord I pray that you'd

[22:33] speak to our hearts today challenge us

[22:35] from your word Lord I pray you'd help us

[22:38] Lord I pray you'd be glorified in all

[22:41] that's said and done in your name I pray

[22:44] amen thank you for standing you may be

[22:46] seated Jeremiah works and serves and

[22:49] ministers during the time of Josiah the

[22:54] King which puts it in about

[22:56] 586 BC

[22:59] at the end of 586 so Jeremiah starts in

[23:01] about 639 and goes to 586 BC and in his

[23:07] ministry life he's a CH a son of one of

[23:11] the priests and he's of the priesthood

[23:13] of Aaron and so Jeremiah is used by God

[23:17] from 636 to

[23:19] 586 BC another man that serves during

[23:23] that time is Daniel he serves the Lord

[23:25] and is used by God in Babylon from 606

[23:29] to 534 BC uh Ezekiel who also was

[23:34] preached during that time was from 592

[23:37] to 570 BC uh serving the lord and so

[23:42] Ezekiel and Daniel and Jeremiah are all

[23:45] serving the lord around the same time

[23:47] and he serves during the reign of Josiah

[23:50] that's when he begins and he goes

[23:52] through all the kings going up into

[23:54] captivity and Jeremiah's writings

[23:56] recover the three different times times

[23:59] that Babylon came into the land and took

[24:02] people out and so he's there for all

[24:04] three incursions during the Babylonian

[24:07] times and so he's got a fruitful

[24:10] ministry as far as

[24:12] time the people didn't respond

[24:15] well the people didn't respond too well

[24:17] to Jeremiah's Ministry and it was a

[24:20] difficult time in his life

[24:23] but he had some encouragement from the

[24:26] Lord and so tonight I want to talk about

[24:29] Jeremiah and what God's plan to use

[24:33] imperfect people look if you would at

[24:35] verse number four of Jeremiah chapter

[24:37] number one

[24:40] then the word of the Lord came unto me

[24:43] saying so Jeremiah starts off with

[24:46] letting us know that this is not

[24:49] Jeremiah this is God's plan and so

[24:53] Jeremiah says the word of the Lord came

[24:55] un me saying before I formed thee

[24:59] in the belly I knew thee so before

[25:04] Jeremiah was even formed now this verse

[25:06] I love to tell people to write and Mark

[25:08] it down as a verse that talks about life

[25:12] begins at

[25:15] conception God had a plan for the life

[25:17] of Jeremiah before he formed him and God

[25:20] forms every

[25:22] child had someone catch me this morning

[25:25] and asked me a question about their

[25:29] their life situation and dealing with

[25:34] the sadness of if they had a stillborn

[25:39] child would that stillborn child go to

[25:42] heaven or go to

[25:44] hell and it would wait on them heavily

[25:47] because they know they said I know we're

[25:49] all born

[25:53] Sinners they asked me that question so I

[25:56] shared with them this morning what I

[25:58] feel God's direction is in that and gave

[26:02] him some hope

[26:03] today but God knows every

[26:07] child and he forms every

[26:11] child even

[26:13] if they don't have a life here on

[26:17] Earth I don't understand why God does

[26:21] what he

[26:24] does and I

[26:28] don't always

[26:29] know nor attempt to know how to speak to

[26:34] people that have gone through that

[26:36] situation but I can tell them there's

[26:39] hope in the

[26:40] Lord There's Hope in the

[26:43] Lord and so he says he

[26:46] forms them God made every child the way

[26:51] God formed

[26:53] them no

[26:55] mistakes no accidents no

[26:59] oops God formed every child the way he

[27:01] wanted to form them so he told Jeremiah

[27:04] before I formed Thee I knew

[27:08] thee he knew when Jeremiah was going to

[27:11] be born he knew where Jeremiah was going

[27:14] to be born he knew what family Jeremiah

[27:16] was going to be born in and he had a

[27:17] plan for how he was going to use

[27:19] Jeremiah he knew all that about Jeremiah

[27:22] before I formed Thee I knew

[27:26] thee then he says in verse five not only

[27:30] did he know them and before thou camest

[27:33] forth out of the womb I Sanctified Thee

[27:36] I set you

[27:39] apart God has a plan for every

[27:43] human you are not a genetic accident you

[27:46] are not a mistake God has a plan for

[27:49] every person that's ever been born in

[27:51] this

[27:52] world now whether they accept God's plan

[27:55] for their life is up to them but God

[27:58] does have a plan and so I want to

[28:00] encourage you tonight God formed

[28:04] you and God knows

[28:06] you you weren't born three thou 300

[28:09] years ago you weren't born in the wrong

[28:13] generation I know sometimes some people

[28:15] like man if I'd have been born back then

[28:16] I'd have been much better in life some

[28:18] like I'd really have Lov to been born in

[28:20] the western

[28:21] days you like to Been a

[28:24] Cowboy some of you unfortunately God

[28:26] didn't allow you to be born during that

[28:28] that time so you just root for the

[28:32] Cowboys but before I formed Thee I I

[28:35] knew thee he said and I Sanctified thee

[28:39] God doesn't make

[28:41] mistakes God's God's Got A Plan of what

[28:45] God wants to do in people's lives he

[28:47] said I knew Thee I Sanctified thee and

[28:50] look what he said in verse five and I

[28:51] ordained thee a prophet unto the Nations

[28:56] now God's got a plan for everybody in

[28:57] the room

[29:00] now that doesn't mean that God's going

[29:01] to ordain you to be a prophet before

[29:03] you're

[29:04] born but God does have a plan for

[29:08] everybody and God wants to use people so

[29:12] he said I ordained thee to be a prophet

[29:14] so before I formed Thee I knew you he

[29:18] knew his name knew where he'd be born

[29:22] ministering to teenagers a lot of times

[29:24] we had some young people that hated the

[29:26] family they were born into they didn't

[29:28] like it now tell them that's no

[29:32] accident God put you in that family on

[29:35] purpose with a purpose and for a

[29:38] purpose and so he said I formed thee in

[29:41] the belly before I did that I already

[29:43] knew Thee I Sanctified Thee I ordained

[29:47] thee to be a

[29:48] prophet so Jeremiah after hearing God

[29:52] say that because he said here's the word

[29:54] of the Lord that came unto him after he

[29:56] heard what God said that I had ordained

[29:58] thee a prophet before I formed Thee I

[29:59] Sanctified thee before I I formed Thee I

[30:02] knew thee he tells them all of that and

[30:04] Jeremiah's response is found in verse

[30:06] six then said I uh Lord God behold I

[30:11] cannot

[30:13] speak for I am a

[30:16] child I

[30:19] cannot

[30:21] speak or I am a

[30:23] child now I want you to listen he said

[30:27] to go God I cannot speak for I Am a

[30:32] Child no no no no

[30:36] rewind this young person said to God

[30:40] Almighty I can't speak for I'm a

[30:45] child and God's

[30:49] response but the Lord said unto me say

[30:52] not I am a child for Thou shalt go to

[30:56] all that I shall send thee and

[30:59] whatsoever I command thee Thou shalt

[31:03] speak don't say I cannot When God says

[31:08] you

[31:09] will you will go where I send thee so

[31:15] verse seven he says to him

[31:18] go where I send

[31:20] thee thou shall go to all that I shall

[31:24] send thee so Jeremiah had no problem

[31:27] talking talking when he talked to the

[31:30] people God sent him to talk to so

[31:33] Jeremiah goes where God tells him to go

[31:35] and all throughout the Book of Jeremiah

[31:37] and all the years of

[31:39] ministry he

[31:41] talks because God told him to talk not

[31:44] only that we'll see here in the next few

[31:47] verses that God even says I'm going to

[31:48] put the words in your mouth of what

[31:51] you're supposed to

[31:52] talk so he said to him first go where I

[31:56] send thee speak what I tell

[32:00] thee so verse seven he says verse six

[32:03] said I cannot God's response was go

[32:06] where I send thee speak what I tell thee

[32:08] look at verse eight be not

[32:11] afraid of their

[32:14] faces for I am with thee to deliver thee

[32:18] saith the Lord be not afraid of their

[32:23] faces now he's going to be in front of

[32:26] Kings he's going to be in in front of

[32:28] tough crowds he's going to be in front

[32:30] of all those people and God said be not

[32:33] afraid of their

[32:35] faces why how can I not be and God said

[32:39] I am with thee to deliver thee so you

[32:46] can go where you're supposed to go and

[32:48] speak what you're supposed to speak and

[32:50] be not afraid of their faces because

[32:52] God's with you to deliver you so you can

[32:55] take courage there look at verse n then

[32:58] the Lord put forth his hand and touched

[33:01] my mouth and the Lord said unto me

[33:03] behold I have put my

[33:06] words in thy mouth kind of reminds me of

[33:10] Isaiah chapter 6 in Isaiah chapter 6

[33:14] Isaiah says woe is me for I am undone I

[33:17] am a man of unclean lips I dwell in the

[33:19] midst of the people of unclean lips and

[33:20] the Lord takes a live coal off the Altar

[33:22] and he touches his

[33:26] mouth now I want you to think about this

[33:28] then the Lord put forth his hand and

[33:30] touched my mouth so I we don't know if

[33:32] it is in verse N A Vision that he has or

[33:37] if it's a literal theophonic

[33:57] your mouth now I'm going to put my words

[34:00] in your mouth look at verse N I have put

[34:04] my words in thy

[34:08] mouth so God tells him I I before I

[34:11] formed Thee I knew Thee I sanctify Thee

[34:15] I ordain

[34:16] Thee

[34:18] I have a plan for you go where I send

[34:21] you speak what I tell you be not afraid

[34:23] of their faces I've put my words in your

[34:27] mouth

[34:29] and in verse 10 God reveals to him what

[34:33] he's going to do ministry wise look at

[34:36] verse 10 see I have this day set thee

[34:40] over the Nations and over

[34:44] kingdoms he's going to have an

[34:47] influence over Nations plural kingdoms

[34:51] plural and this is your ministry

[34:54] opportunity here Jeremiah this is what I

[34:57] want want you to do to root

[35:00] out to pull

[35:03] down to

[35:05] destroy to throw

[35:07] down to

[35:09] build and to

[35:12] plant wow what exciting

[35:17] Ministry now some that laugh is because

[35:19] they've been involved in

[35:22] Ministry you're going to root out so

[35:25] Jeremiah I'm going to send you to root

[35:27] out

[35:28] sin I'm going to send you to go to

[35:31] people who don't want to

[35:34] hear what I want you to tell them now

[35:37] remember God put the words in his mouth

[35:40] so when he goes and he delivers the

[35:42] message God said say

[35:46] this and the people didn't like

[35:49] it but God said say it so he had to say

[35:53] it because God said to him so to root

[35:56] out to pull down to destroy to throw

[36:01] down now if you were just using the word

[36:04] structure of the words you would say

[36:07] that's a lot of negative stuff but wait

[36:09] wait wait he's rooting out sin in

[36:12] people's life he's pulling down

[36:14] wickedness and idolatrous worship he's

[36:17] destroying a society of wickedness and

[36:21] he is throwing down false idol worship

[36:24] and then he's building and and he is

[36:27] planting what God wants there so yes

[36:31] that part of his ministry sounds

[36:33] negative but you can't have the positive

[36:35] unless God does work on the negative in

[36:38] people's lives and we can't really build

[36:41] up and plant what God wants to plant if

[36:43] we don't root out pull down destroy and

[36:46] throw down what God says it needs to be

[36:50] done so you know how God does

[36:53] that God's plan is to use imper perfect

[36:59] people that's God's

[37:01] plan so the next time you feel

[37:05] unqualified to be used by God remember

[37:09] this he tends to recruit from the pit

[37:13] not the

[37:15] pedestal God your greatest attribute or

[37:19] help for God is your availability to him

[37:23] it's not your ability it's your

[37:25] availability to him and one of the

[37:28] things that that involves in the life of

[37:30] a Believer is

[37:32] surrender surrendering to God's

[37:35] imperfect plan or God's perfect plan to

[37:39] use imperfect

[37:41] people so to surrender to God does not

[37:45] mean that you know everything he wants

[37:48] you to

[37:49] do it means as soon as you know it you

[37:53] will do

[37:55] it surrender does to God does not mean

[37:59] that you know everything he wants you to

[38:01] do but it means as soon as you know it

[38:04] you will do

[38:06] it so if you're going to be surrendered

[38:09] to God's plan for your life and

[38:10] surrendered to what God wants to do in

[38:12] your life you've got to recognize God

[38:13] uses imperfect

[38:15] people by the way we all

[38:17] are there's no Perfect People we're all

[38:21] imperfect

[38:23] people so he took

[38:25] Jeremiah who had excuses on why he could

[38:28] not and God used him in a powerful way

[38:33] to reach people and here we are all

[38:35] these years later still talking about

[38:38] the ministry of

[38:42] Jeremiah so if you feel unqualified to

[38:44] be used by God remember this he tends to

[38:47] recruit from the pit not the

[38:51] pedestal surrender to God does not mean

[38:54] that you know everything he wants you to

[38:56] do it means as soon soon as you do know

[38:58] it you will do

[39:00] it so there's some things about Jeremiah

[39:03] as we've gone through the text that I

[39:04] think we ought to remind ourselves of

[39:08] number one God formed

[39:10] us God gave you the gifts that you have

[39:12] the talents that you have the abilities

[39:14] that you have God gave it to you and God

[39:17] wants you to use it for

[39:19] him and he says I know

[39:22] you I Sanctified you I ordained you to

[39:26] be a prophet

[39:28] and he took a person like Jeremiah when

[39:30] he was very

[39:31] young and he called them and God's still

[39:36] in the business of calling people to

[39:39] service and God's age requirement is

[39:45] breathing that's God's age requirement

[39:48] if you're breathing you're on the

[39:50] recruitment board for

[39:52] God and God wants to use us to do the

[39:55] things that God's called us to do before

[39:57] for I formed Thee I knew thee and I

[40:00] sanctify thee and I ordained thee to be

[40:02] a prophet God's got a plan for everybody

[40:04] in the

[40:05] room he's got a plan for

[40:08] everybody will you surrender to God's

[40:10] plan or will you fight with your

[40:14] plan know there's a lot of times in our

[40:16] life where we think we know better than

[40:20] God

[40:21] does and we have to make sure we are

[40:24] sensitive to the leadership and

[40:26] followship ship of God in our

[40:30] lives the another thing we need to

[40:32] remember is God's got a place he wants

[40:34] to send you he's got a place he's got a

[40:38] Ministry through the local church that

[40:41] God wants to put you there it's kind of

[40:43] like the people in chapter three of

[40:44] Nehemiah we mentioned this morning that

[40:46] God had them work on a certain part of

[40:47] the wall because that's where God wanted

[40:49] them to work not everybody worked on the

[40:52] whole wall God put people in certain

[40:53] regions to work on certain parts of the

[40:56] wall go where I send thee speak what I

[41:00] tell thee we will spend our lives being

[41:03] sensitive to what to say what God

[41:06] says and not say what we want to say we

[41:10] will find ourselves in a much better

[41:15] place one person said

[41:17] it that if if we strive to do what God

[41:21] wants us to do we'll find ourselves

[41:24] saying this to us our own selves when we

[41:26] wake up in the

[41:31] morning you find my quote here that I'm

[41:34] looking

[41:35] for in the morning when I wake up I ask

[41:38] God to get in my head before I

[41:45] do God be in my head before I do be in

[41:50] my thoughts be in control of me before I

[41:55] am and if we strive to let God be God

[41:58] and God do what God wants to do in us

[42:00] and through us we will find

[42:03] ourselves doing what God wants us to

[42:06] do now sometimes God doesn't give you

[42:09] all the

[42:10] details that's frustrating in the

[42:12] Christian life but if he gave you all

[42:15] the details you'd be walking by sight

[42:16] and not by

[42:18] faith and sometimes in my life there's

[42:20] times where God doesn't give me all the

[42:22] details and I just have to trust God and

[42:25] I have to step out in faith and

[42:27] following God I want you to turn to

[42:29] Hebrews chapter

[42:31] 11 Hebrews chapter

[42:40] 11 Hebrews chapter 11 is we call it at

[42:43] times the the faith chapter or the Hall

[42:46] of faith and there's there's people

[42:48] listed

[42:51] there and there's a man named Enoch

[42:55] Enoch walked with God and was not cuz

[42:57] God took

[42:59] him and in the Hall of Faith chapter of

[43:03] Hebrews 11 how many verses does Enoch

[43:06] have

[43:08] two verse number

[43:10] five verse number

[43:12] six now there's another guy his name is

[43:16] Noah Noah built an ark to the saving of

[43:18] his house how many verses does Noah have

[43:21] about

[43:23] him

[43:25] one kind of a big deal

[43:28] he built an ark him and his family only

[43:31] ones who

[43:32] survived he got one

[43:35] verse well we we got Noah we got we got

[43:38] Enoch we got Abel Abel offered unto God

[43:41] a more excellent sacrifice than Cain

[43:43] yeah what about Joseph Joseph pretty

[43:46] important character in The Bible

[43:47] wouldn't you say a lot of the Bible

[43:49] talks about Joseph I mean we have hymns

[43:51] that say dare to be a Daniel and we

[43:53] would encourage people to live like

[43:55] Joseph but you know Hebrews chap 11

[43:58] verse 22 he got one he got one

[44:03] verse what about a man named Moses Mo

[44:06] Moses got more than one verse he got

[44:08] verse 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 he he got a

[44:13] good number of

[44:16] verses but he didn't get the most verses

[44:18] in Hebrews chapter 11 what about Joshua

[44:21] I mean he he marched around the walls of

[44:23] Jericho and the walls fell down flat how

[44:26] many vers Joshua get in Hebrews chapter

[44:28] he got

[44:29] one there's another

[44:32] guy in Hebrews 11 we got a lot more

[44:35] verses than anybody

[44:38] else if you took in your Bibles to

[44:40] Hebrews 11 verse number

[44:44] eight there's a man named

[44:48] Abraham who has more verses in Hebrews

[44:51] chapter 11 than anyone

[44:53] else in fact his name is mentioned

[44:55] really often in Scripture especially in

[44:57] the New Testament as

[44:59] well watch what happened in Abraham's

[45:02] Life by faith Abraham when he was called

[45:04] to go out into a place which he should

[45:06] after receive for inheritance obeyed and

[45:10] he went out not knowing with he

[45:15] went and that's that's a humbling

[45:20] verse because I like to know all the

[45:22] stuff that God wants to know and what

[45:24] God wants to do sometimes God says go

[45:28] do what I want you to do and by faith we

[45:31] have to follow the leadership of the

[45:33] Lord Hebrews 11:8 and follow the way

[45:36] down talk about

[45:38] Abraham he looked for a city which ha

[45:41] foundations whose Builder and maker is

[45:43] God he sojourned in the land of promise

[45:45] verse n as in a strange country dwelling

[45:49] in

[45:50] Tabernacles with Isaac and Jacob airs

[45:52] with him of the same promise Tabernacles

[45:56] t

[45:59] what what kind of Life did Abraham

[46:01] attent

[46:03] life it says that he dwelt in him with

[46:09] Isaac Isaac got married one

[46:12] day to who Church who did he get married

[46:16] to Isaac got married to

[46:22] Rebecca Abraham's servant goes and he

[46:24] gets reca and he brings Rebecca home

[46:28] to meet

[46:30] Isaac she comes

[46:33] out with the

[46:35] servant there's a tent

[46:37] there there's not a house on the hill

[46:40] there's not a

[46:41] mansion there's a

[46:45] tent how

[46:48] encouraging can you imagine Rebecca

[46:50] saying uh this where you guys

[46:54] live are you building a house over the

[46:56] hill

[46:57] no we're living in the

[47:01] tent

[47:04] okay may I ask why because God told us

[47:08] to oh okay and then she sees Isaac and

[47:14] ends up marrying him and they they dwell

[47:16] in tents and one day they're outside

[47:20] their

[47:21] tent and God shows

[47:24] up and he talks to Abraham he talks to

[47:27] Sarah and God came and saw them at the

[47:31] tent not at their house not at a big

[47:34] fancy Farm no it was in a

[47:38] tent but watch this in the tent is where

[47:40] they were supposed to be they're

[47:42] supposed to be right where God told him

[47:43] to

[47:44] be see God has a plan and God's plan

[47:48] involves faith and sometimes that's

[47:52] hard sometimes that's

[47:55] difficult but Jeremiah God has a plan

[47:59] and he puts his hand on his mouth and

[48:01] tells him what to speak and God's going

[48:02] to do that for

[48:05] us we got to make sure that we get out

[48:07] of the way so God can do what he wants

[48:11] to

[48:12] do the Lord put forth his hand touched

[48:15] my mouth he said and God put the words

[48:17] in his mouth and even when it's

[48:20] difficult and even when it's hard

[48:22] rooting out pulling down to destroy to

[48:24] throw down to build and to plant even

[48:27] when all the things that God asked of us

[48:29] are difficult and hard the best place to

[48:32] be is in the center of God's will for

[48:36] your

[48:38] life surrender to God does not mean that

[48:43] you know everything he wants you to do

[48:45] but it means as soon as you know it you

[48:49] will do it now we also know this verse

[48:52] in the Bible the steps of a good man are

[48:55] ordered by the Lord that also means he

[48:58] also orders our

[49:01] stops the steps of a good man are

[49:03] ordered by the Lord which means he also

[49:05] orders our stops and sometimes God will

[49:09] say stop and that's

[49:12] okay we're to wait on the Lord sometimes

[49:16] God says stop sometimes God says go

[49:20] sometimes he just says

[49:23] wait but as long as you're following

[49:25] God's leadership for your life and

[49:28] you're doing what God wants you to do

[49:31] you're right where God wants you to

[49:34] be if you can lay your head down on your

[49:36] pillow at night and know I'm doing what

[49:38] God wants me to do you're in the right

[49:41] spot just make sure it's God and it's

[49:44] not our flesh because our flesh can get

[49:47] in the way but if we know it's the

[49:49] Lord we're right where we're supposed to

[49:51] be the steps of a good man are ordered

[49:53] by the Lord sometimes he orders our

[49:55] steps and sometimes he orders our

[49:59] stops but if we're listening to God and

[50:02] doing what God wants us to do we'll be

[50:04] right where God wants us to

[50:06] be that's how every believer ought to

[50:08] live their

[50:09] life recognizing that God uses imperfect

[50:13] people to accomplish his perfect

[50:15] plan I was in my class this

[50:19] morning and we were dealing with the

[50:21] security of the believer in our

[50:23] discipleship class

[50:27] and I shared with the class this morning

[50:29] I got saved at a young age and by God's

[50:32] grace I've never doubted my

[50:35] salvation I've never struggled with

[50:38] that others that's not their

[50:42] testimony others have different

[50:44] testimonies they've struggled with

[50:46] eternal

[50:47] security so in our class today I ask

[50:51] some people to share their their

[50:53] testimony about their struggle with

[50:55] their salvation

[50:57] ation and one person responded by saying

[51:00] you know there's times that the devil

[51:01] brings up my past CU before I got saved

[51:04] man I was a terrible person I was a

[51:06] wicked person and devil does that and I

[51:08] feel why would God want to forgive

[51:12] me and I start thinking he said I start

[51:15] thinking did he forgive

[51:18] me we talked about that struggle that he

[51:21] faced and somebody else volunteered and

[51:24] they said you know my my

[51:28] life I was a terrible Wicked person

[51:30] before I got

[51:32] saved when the devil brings that up it

[51:35] causes me to Rejoice that God saved me

[51:37] from that and God saved me out of that

[51:41] see two different people dealing with

[51:43] the same struggle but yet having two

[51:45] different responses you see in our

[51:48] lives when we know we're doing what God

[51:52] wants us to do we'll be right where God

[51:54] wants us to be

[51:56] but I bring up that illustration because

[51:58] right after that I said this there are

[52:01] times in my life that I

[52:05] recognize that God puts

[52:08] people that have different backgrounds

[52:12] and life

[52:13] stories to

[52:15] minister to other people who don't have

[52:19] the same backstory as

[52:22] you because God's plan and God's

[52:25] Ministry

[52:27] in the work involves two things number

[52:29] one doing what God's called you to do

[52:32] and secondly ministering to

[52:36] people people are messy because we're

[52:39] people and we're imperfect

[52:42] people and God's plan that he wants

[52:46] every believer to surrender to is that

[52:49] if I don't give you all the

[52:51] details when I do give you the details

[52:55] do

[52:56] but if God says stop you should

[52:59] stop if God says pause you should pause

[53:04] you should wait on the Lord stay in step

[53:08] with God don't get ahead of God and

[53:10] don't get out of step behind God stay in

[53:12] step with God and it'll help you in your

[53:15] Christian Life God's plan to use

[53:17] imperfect people he used Jeremiah in a

[53:20] great

[53:22] way because he knew

[53:24] him and all is frailties God knew when

[53:28] he called Jeremiah Jeremiah was going to

[53:29] make an excuse I cannot

[53:31] speak he knew what Jeremiah was going to

[53:33] say he knew what his excuses would

[53:36] be he knew where his struggles would be

[53:38] and God knows you and God knows where

[53:40] you're facing and God knows the

[53:42] hardships you have in your

[53:44] life you just do what God's called you

[53:47] to

[53:50] do and sometimes God directs our steps

[53:53] and other times he directs our stops if

[53:56] you can pillow your head at night

[53:57] knowing you're doing what God wants you

[53:59] to do you're in the right spot would you

[54:02] bow your heads

[54:07] tonight ask our song leader to come

[54:13] player God's plan to use imperfect

[54:17] people he knows us he formed

[54:20] us where to go where he sends us where

[54:23] to speak what he tells us we're not to

[54:25] be afraid of their Fai word to say what

[54:28] he tells us to say because he put his

[54:30] words in our

[54:31] mouth and next time you feel unqualified

[54:34] to be used by God

[54:36] remember who tends to recruit from the

[54:39] pit not from the pedestal to render to

[54:43] God's plan for your life God's plan for

[54:47] us is bigger than we can

[54:51] imagine heavenly father I pray your will

[54:53] be done during this invitation time Lord

[54:56] help us to respond to

[54:59] you all that we need to do in your name

[55:02] I pray amen as God leads you you do

[55:05] business with God
