[0:00] It's a Republican knife fight in Ohio,
[0:03] metaphorically speaking. Deep divisions
[0:05] over a TV commercial in the governor's
[0:07] race that dredges up ugly family history
[0:10] of abuse and estrangement. MAGA loves
[0:13] it. Several Republicans on the ballot do
[0:16] not. How and why can Elon Musk decide
[0:19] how much satellite internet access
[0:21] Ukraine receives? Shouldn't that be a US
[0:24] government decision? And is it credible
[0:26] the White House didn't know what Musk
[0:27] was doing? We asked Texas Republican
[0:30] Congressman Dan Krenshaw. Colorado
[0:33] Republican Congressman Gabe Evans won

[1:04] like your mother. Not a New Yorker.
[1:07] [music] I don't try to be a New Yorker.
[1:09] My point is this. Politics is nasty
[1:12] business. Always has been. That
[1:14] nastiness though has typically left
[1:16] family members alone. Candidates enter
[1:18] the fray knowing they will be muddied
[1:21] and bloodied. Campaigns do that. Family
[1:24] members sign up for that but at a
[1:26] distance. And mothers mothers have been
[1:28] held in an almost sacred place of
[1:31] untouchability. The unspoken rule, you
[1:34] don't sully or even try to sully
[1:37] someone's mother. It's unbecoming and
[1:40] duh, it's highly risky. But these days,
[1:43] as we all know, scarcely anything in
[1:45] American politics is sa
