[0:47] >> Good evening. Dan's off tonight. I'm at
[0:49] Bradley. Passover in Israel began
[0:52] tonight with a massacre. An Islamic
[0:54] suicide bomber blew himself up in a
[0:56] hotel where Jews were celebrating the
[0:59] holiday. At least 16 people were killed,
[1:02] more than 100 injured. The latest
[1:04] violence came as an Arab summit
[1:06] conference meant to ratify a Saudi peace
[1:08] plan was falling apart. We begin in
[1:11] Israel. Elizabeth Palmer reports on the
[1:13] attack in the coastal resort city of
[1:15] Netanya.
[1:17] >> A man walked into the lobby of this
[1:19] seaside hotel where Israeli families had
[1:21] gathered for their Passover holiday meal
[1:24] and blew himself up. A massive blast
[1:26] tore through the dining room destroying
[1:28] walls, ceilings, and windows. Rescue
[1:31] workers say they expect some of the
[1:32] wounded won't survive the night. The
[1:34] 25-year-old suicide bomber was this man,
[1:37] Abdel Basset Odeh.
[1:39] In a telephone call to an Arab
[1:41] television station, the Islamic militant
[1:43] group Hamas claimed responsibility for
[1:45] the attack. A representative for Hamas
[1:47] says the violence is bound to co
