[0:35] and rumors spread throughout the city
[0:36] that the president was preparing to
[0:38] resign but when reporters and
[0:40] photographers were called in for a brief
[0:42] Glimpse before the session started
[0:44] President Nixon seemed in good spirits
[0:46] and all else appeared normal afterward
[0:49] as an unusually large crowd of people
[0:51] gathered at the White House Gates
[0:52] reporters swarmed around emerging
[0:54] members of the cabinet who said the
[0:56] president intends to stay on and wants
[0:59] them to do like
[1:01] wise the foreign policy of the United
[1:04] States has always been conducted and
[1:06] will be continue to be conducted on a
[1:10] bipartisan basis in the National
[1:13] interest and in the interest of world
[1:15] peace and uh this will be our attitude
[1:19] and we will do it the president
[1:21] expressed The Firm resolve to not have
[1:23] this tragedy uh of Watergate obscure not
[1:27] only the accomplishments of the past are
[1:30] resolv and solving all the problems of
[1:31] the future and that's what we cabine
