[0:17] >> Good evening. A small town murder rocks
[0:19] the community of St. Helens, just 30
[0:21] miles northwest of Portland. Early this
[0:22] morning, police found a 48-year-old
[0:24] woman shot to death in her own home.
[0:26] Investigators won't say if burglars are
[0:28] to blame or if she died during a
[0:29] domestic dispute. KPTV's David Wilson
[0:32] has just returned from St. Helens and
[0:33] joins us from the newsroom with the
[0:34] details. Dave, what can you tell us?
[0:36] >> Well, tonight, police are keeping many
[0:38] of the details surrounding this case to
[0:40] themselves, but we do know that
[0:41] 48-year-old Hong Ha Swagert was found
[0:44] shot to death around 3:30 this morning
[0:46] inside her home just south of St.
[0:48] Helens. Tonight, police won't rule out a
[0:50] burglary gone bad. But they also say the
[0:52] victim's husband is a suspect in the
[0:54] murder. Big city problems.
[0:57] >> I'm from Beaverton. We came down here to
[0:58] get away from this stuff.
[0:59] >> Find their way to the small community of
[1:02] St. Helens.
[1:02] >> We have no problem with vandalism or
[1:04] nothing around here. You know, we had
[1:07] coyotes, you know, but nothing else.
[1:10] >> Now, in a brand new subdivision, folks
[1:12] who moved from the city to get away from
[1:14] it all come face to face with the murder
[1:17] of a neighbor.
[1:18] >> Very nice people. She's wonderful. He's
[1:22] great. Um, our kids adopted me as grand
[1:25] as nana and papa.

[1:29] took a call about 3:30 in the morning
