[16:06] winds picked up the breezes have blown

[16:09] the temperatures dropped and it's cold

[16:11] outside for some of you and so but we

[16:13] are glad that you're here tonight to

[16:16] worship the Lord with us and so I'm

[16:17] looking forward to sharing with you the

[16:19] message the Lord's placed upon my heart

[21:46] entitled to consider him and tried our

[26:06] the resurrection tonight first

[26:08] Corinthians chapter 15 verse number one

[26:10] the Bible says moreover brethren I

[26:12] declare unto you the gospel which I

[26:15] preached unto you besides my friend let

[26:18] me pause for a moment you can't have the

[26:19] gospel if it's not for the death the

[26:23] burial and the resurrection you can't

[26:26] have it without all three said this

[26:29] gospel which I preached unto you which

[26:30] also ye have received and wherein ye

[26:33] stand by which also ye are saved by the

[26:37] gospel of Jesus Christ if you keep in

[26:40] memory what I preached unto you unless

[26:42] you have believed in vain for I

[26:45] delivered unto you first of all that

[26:48] which I also received how that Christ

[26:50] died for our sins according to the

[26:53] scriptures and that he was buried but it

[26:58] doesn't stop there does it and that he

[27:00] rose again the third day according to

[27:04] the scriptures that he was seen of

[27:06] Cephas that's Peter then of the twelve

[27:09] after that he was seen over by five

[27:12] hundred brethren at one time that once

[27:15] now it's really hard to get 500 people

[27:18] to get their story exactly right I

[27:21] wonder how much money know there was no

[27:23] money paid it was real they really saw

[27:26] Jesus and resurrected for him said five

[27:29] hundred Rijn at once of whom the greater

[27:33] are fallen asleep the Apostle Paul

[27:50] as one born out of due time from the

[27:53] least of the Apostles that had not meet

[27:56] to be called an apostle because I

[27:58] persecuted the Church of God and that's

[28:02] the testimony of Saul but when he

[28:07] interacted with Jesus Christ Saul became

[28:11] Paul verse number 10 but by the grace of

[28:13] the Lord I am what I am NOT he was what

[28:19] he was but he am president I am what I

[28:24] am and His grace which was bestowed upon

[28:26] me was not in vain but I laboured more

[28:30] abundantly than they all yet not i but

[28:32] the grace of God was with me therefore

[28:36] whether if I were or they so we preach

[28:41] and so ye believed now if Christ be

[28:44] preached that he arose from the dead how

[28:48] say some of you there is no resurrection

[28:51] of the dead but if there be no

[28:54] resurrection of the dead then is Christ

[28:56] not risen and if Christ be not risen

[28:59] then is our preaching vain and your

[29:02] faith is also vain yea and we are found

[29:06] false witnesses of God because we have

[29:08] testified of God that he raised up

[29:11] Christ whom he raised not up if so be

[29:14] that the dead rise not for if the dead

[29:17] rise not then it is not Christ raised

[29:19] and if Christ be not raised your faith

[29:22] is in vain ye are yet in your sins then

[29:25] they also which are fallen asleep in

[29:27] Christ are perished in if in this life

[29:30] only we have hope in Christ we are of

[29:36] all men most miserable but now now is

[29:42] Christ risen from the dead and became

[29:45] the firstfruits of them that slept for

[29:49] since by man came death by man we came

[29:51] also the resurrection of the Dead for as

[29:55] a gnat

[29:55] all die even so in Christ shall all be

[29:58] made alive but every man in his own

[30:02] order Christ the firstfruits afterward

[30:05] they that are Christ's at his coming

[30:07] then cometh the end when he shall have

[30:10] delivered up the kingdom of God even the

[30:13] father when he shall have put down all

[30:15] rule and authority and power for he must

[30:18] reign till he hath put all enemies under

[30:21] his feet I'm so thankful for the

[30:25] resurrection of Jesus Christ and I pray

[30:27] through their preaching at tonight's

[30:28] message we can help you also

[30:31] to understand its importance let's go to

[30:33] the Lord in prayer tonight definitely

[30:35] follow the Lord I thank you for the

[30:36] opportunity to preach your word what I

[30:38] pray if you would please cleanse me of

[30:40] sin that you did to me as hell but I may

[30:42] get out of the way tonight in your word

[30:44] may go forth when I pray to you speak to

[30:46] our hearts challenge us from your word

[30:48] in your name I pray amen thank you for

[30:51] standing you may be seated brothership

[30:53] if you could help give me a glass of

[30:54] water I might need one tonight preaching

[30:57] outside and now preaching tonight

[30:58] my throat's doing a little funny thing

[31:00] but we look at first Corinthians 15 the

[31:04] Bible says as I mentioned to you

[31:06] moreover brethren he's talking to saved

[31:08] individuals he says I declare unto you

[31:10] the gospel which I preached unto you the

[31:13] Apostle Paul's gospel was not a social

[31:16] gospel the Apostle Paul's gospel was the

[31:19] death the burial and a resurrection of

[31:22] Jesus Christ because of mankind's sin

[31:26] are you understanding that tonight the

[31:29] gospel is not pretty the gospel is

[31:32] bloody the gospel brought death the

[31:35] gospel brought pain their gospel brought

[31:37] agony but the gospel also brings joy the

[31:40] gospel also brings hope the gospel also

[31:43] brings life everlasting you can't have

[31:46] the resurrection without the death you

[31:49] can't have the burial without the death

[31:51] you need all three parts if he was just

[31:54] dead and buried there would be no hope

[31:57] but my friend he's not buried the tomb

[32:01] is empty praised me to go he says the

[32:06] gospel which I preached on

[32:08] to you which also ye have received

[32:10] wherein ye stand by which also ye are

[32:14] saved the death burial and resurrection

[32:17] of Jesus Christ is the gospel by which

[32:21] you and I are saved why did Jesus have

[32:24] to die because of my sins and your sins

[32:26] my friend because we're sinners christ

[32:29] died

[32:30] Romans 5:8 tells us but God commendeth

[32:32] his love toward us in that while we were

[32:34] yet sinners Christ died for us

[32:38] peradventure for a righteous man would

[32:40] one scarcely die but for evil men such

[32:43] as you and I Christ died those are you

[32:48] watching right now with somebody else in

[32:50] the room turn to the person in the room

[32:52] and say to them you are a wicked sinner

[32:55] yep right now say it to him go on I gave

[32:58] you permission to be truthful they're a

[33:01] wicked sinner but now look at them and

[33:05] say but if you know Jesus Christ as your

[33:08] Savior

[33:09] you're a saved sinner because the blood

[33:12] of Jesus Christ has been applied to your

[33:15] heart

[33:15] thank you sir the blood of Jesus Christ

[33:18] has been applied it made the difference

[33:22] and it's still the blood that saves from

[33:25] sin he says by which also ye are saved

[33:27] if you keep in memory what I preached

[33:30] unto you unless you have believed in

[33:32] vain

[33:33] I want you to notice tonight verse

[33:35] number three that Christ died according

[33:37] to the scriptures the plan was laid out

[33:39] ahead of time he fulfilled prophecy

[33:42] after prophecy after prophecy he was

[33:45] wounded for our transgressions he was

[33:47] bruised for our iniquity and by His

[33:50] stripes we are healed

[33:52] He fulfilled prophecy after prophecy

[33:55] throughout scripture we find that it

[33:59] says he delivered unto us first of all

[34:01] crime has also received how Christ died

[34:03] for his sins is that what verse 3 says

[34:06] no my friend it doesn't say his he

[34:10] doesn't say your neighbors sins it says

[34:13] our sins that face you saw in the mirror

[34:16] this morning that's who sins

[34:18] Jesus died for our sins he died for our

[34:22] sins he died for your sins according to

[34:26] the scriptures and if all we had was

[34:30] that page that verse that he died

[34:34] according to the scriptures we would

[34:38] have been very similar if we had verse

[34:44] three and for the first part and that he

[34:46] was buried we would have been like the

[34:49] disciples that Sunday night can you

[34:53] imagine it tonight if all you knew was

[34:58] that he died that he was buried you'd be

[35:02] in the upper room with some other

[35:05] believers discouraged thinking hits over

[35:10] the last three years did it make any

[35:13] sense

[35:14] yes he was a good man yes he was a great

[35:17] teacher

[35:17] yes He healed the sick yes He healed the

[35:21] blind yes he raised even Lazarus from

[35:24] the dead but yet they still didn't get

[35:27] the full picture but I'm so thankful

[35:30] verse 4 does it stop there's not a

[35:32] period after the word buried there's a

[35:36] comma that means there's a brief pause a

[35:40] brief pause in this case a three-day

[35:45] pause and then it says that he rose

[35:53] again the third day according to the

[35:59] scriptures and that he was seen of

[36:02] Cephas we mentioned that this morning in

[36:04] the morning's message that he had a

[36:06] special delivery to Peter he said in

[36:09] March 16 to go tell the disciples and

[36:12] Peter Peter who betrayed him Peter who

[36:16] denied him Peter who said I don't know

[36:18] the man Peter got the message

[36:22] now when I say betray I'm not talking

[36:25] like Judas betrayed him but as a friend

[36:27] betraying his friend saying I don't even

[36:29] know the man

[36:32] Sene if Peter then of the 12 it doesn't

[36:38] record here for us but for all the women

[36:40] that saw Jesus alive all the marries of

[36:44] the Mary's and the other Mary's all of

[36:47] those also saw him alive Mary Magdalene

[36:49] saw him in the garden seen a 500-seat of

[36:55] all these witnesses but yet gathered

[36:58] together that Sunday night in the upper

[36:59] room were these disciples 10 of them

[37:06] there was 11 later on but 10 Thomas

[37:09] isn't there 10 disciples we find that

[37:15] they were fearful afraid but Jesus steps

[37:22] into their room doors locked windows

[37:25] luck no earthly way for any human being

[37:28] to get in and my friend the son of God

[37:32] stepped in to that room and did some

[37:36] marvelous work for their faith and like

[37:40] I mentioned this morning he can step

[37:41] into the situation in your life and do a

[37:44] marvelous work that you'll be amazed to

[37:47] see the Apostle Paul said he was the

[37:51] least he knew his past but he wasn't

[37:55] stuck in his past the Apostle Paul says

[37:59] but by the grace of God I am what I am

[38:04] he says but I'm no longer what I used to

[38:06] be aren't you glad your past has passed

[38:10] it's behind you and by the grace of God

[38:14] and what I am in the present right now

[38:17] Apostle Paul saying I am to the gospel

[38:22] I am a follower says Christ

[38:25] I am resurrected Savior I am NOT because

[38:31] Paul was special but because the grace

[38:34] of God had appeared unto him

[38:38] continues on verse number 12 now if

[38:42] Christ be preached that he rose from the

[38:44] dead how say some among you that there

[38:47] is no resurrection of the dead there's a

[38:49] truth here it's very important if Jesus

[38:55] didn't resurrect we'd be hopeless if he

[39:00] wasn't alive there'd be no hope he

[39:04] didn't resurrect from the dead all of my

[39:08] preaching would be in vain if he didn't

[39:11] resurrect from the dead every song that

[39:13] we sang tonight would be in vain if he

[39:17] didn't resurrect from the dead there'd

[39:19] be no hope for heaven if he didn't

[39:22] resurrect from the dead you and I will

[39:25] walk around discouraged

[39:27] defeated and one day dead with no hope

[39:34] but he's not dead he is alive he

[39:42] resurrected just as he said he

[39:45] resurrected just like the scripture said

[39:48] he is alive and my friend you said where

[39:52] you're at tonight on your accounts as

[39:54] it's hot and know that the hope you can

[39:58] sit there tonight and take the verses in

[40:00] from John chapter 14 let not your heart

[40:03] be troubled you believe in God believe

[40:06] also in me in my father's house are many

[40:08] mansions if it were not so I would have

[40:11] told you I go to prepare a place for you

[40:14] and if I go and prepare a place for you

[40:16] I will no doubt come again and receive

[40:18] you unto myself that where I am there

[40:20] you may be also Thomas the disciple of

[40:23] Lord how can we know the way Jesus said

[40:26] I am the way the truth of the life no

[40:30] man cometh unto the father but by me and

[40:33] child of God you've got hope that you're

[40:36] going to be one day absent from this

[40:38] body and present with the Lord Bible

[40:43] tells us and I believe it's in first

[40:45] Thessalonians to comfort one another

[40:48] with these

[40:51] words there's a hope of heaven tonight

[40:54] because jesus is alive if there be no

[40:59] resurrection then Christ is not risen if

[41:01] Christ be not risen our preaching is in

[41:03] vain our singing is in vain but it also

[41:05] says in verse 14 your faith would be in

[41:09] vain can you imagine if you had the

[41:15] opportunity for 30 seconds to leave this

[41:26] earth and see heaven to open your eyes

[41:32] and see the street of gold to open your

[41:36] eyes and see the mansions that are there

[41:38] to open your eyes and see the one who

[41:43] bled and died for you and then you came

[41:47] back to the service

[41:49] what would you do if you had 30 seconds

[41:54] in heaven and God let you come back what

[42:01] would you do I know the answer for most

[42:05] of you because you saw it with your own

[42:09] eyes you would tell everybody you know

[42:12] about the reality of heaven you would

[42:17] say I have been there I have seen it

[42:22] with my own eyes I saw the streets of

[42:26] gold I saw the beauty of the place I saw

[42:28] my resurrected Lord I have seen it and

[42:32] you would tell everybody about it but my

[42:35] friend if you go to Hebrews chapter 11

[42:40] it tells us now faith is the substance

[42:43] of things hoped for the evidence of

[42:48] things not seen I don't have to see it

[42:54] I've faith it I've faith it

[43:01] I've seen it with the eyes of faith I

[43:03] believe what the Bible says because I

[43:05] have faith to believe that God's Word is

[43:07] true

[43:08] I had the faith to believe there is a

[43:10] heaven how about you if you believe

[43:13] there's heaven you ought to tell

[43:15] somebody about it if you believe that

[43:17] there is a heaven because Jesus

[43:19] resurrected from the dead you got to

[43:22] have faith I don't need to go there to

[43:26] tell everybody I already have the faith

[43:28] that the Word of God is true therefore I

[43:30] want to tell everybody how real heaven

[43:33] is what grips my heart that I have faith

[43:39] to believe that heaven is real which

[43:43] also means I have the faith to believe

[43:46] that hell is a real place and real

[43:50] people go there and real people die and

[43:54] they burn in hell forever and ever and

[44:00] ever

[44:01] not because God sent them there simply

[44:05] because they chose not to accept Jesus

[44:10] Christ as their personal Savior my

[44:16] friend tonight those of you that are

[44:18] watching let me help you tonight if you

[44:23] don't know Jesus Christ as your personal

[44:25] Savior you're not gonna get to heaven

[44:31] you can't be good enough you can't do

[44:35] enough good things being baptized in a

[44:39] Baptistery who won't get you there

[44:42] taking communion on the easter won't get

[44:45] you there being in a church service on

[44:48] an Easter Sunday won't get you to heaven

[44:52] only the shed blood of Jesus Christ

[44:55] applied to your account one writer

[44:59] talked about in his book that he

[45:02] pictured a room in heaven with lots of

[45:06] filing cabinets on it lots of filing

[45:10] cabinets in that room and every drawer

[45:12] had a name

[45:14] and on those drawers you'd pull open the

[45:17] one with a name on it and it would have

[45:20] filed card after file card of the sins

[45:24] that were committed sin after sin after

[45:29] sin after sin but he noticed there was

[45:36] some cabinets in the corner that a man

[45:40] in a white was standing next to the man

[45:44] in white had nail prints in his hands

[45:47] and in his feet and he's pulling out

[45:51] filing cabinets and replacing the files

[45:55] inside with one card so the man said sir

[46:02] what are you doing the man responded I'm

[46:07] paying the fees for these cards that are

[46:13] in there

[46:15] he said you're paying the sin debt he

[46:17] said I am he said what do you do he

[46:21] showed him the card the card said paid

[46:24] in full by the blood of Jesus signed

[46:30] God's son my friend tonight if you never

[46:37] had the blood of Jesus Christ

[46:39] cleanse your soul from sin you've got a

[46:44] filing cabinet filled with sin after sin

[46:48] Romans 6:23 says the wages the payment

[46:52] of sin is death not just physical death

[46:58] but eternal death separated from God

[47:01] from all eternity but all you need to do

[47:08] is accept Jesus Christ as your Savior

[47:12] and he'll sign your bill paid in full by

[47:19] the blood of Jesus Christ see the death

[47:24] burial and a resurrection

[47:27] help us to know verse 19

[47:43] is Jesus Christ it's not the white house

[47:47] it's not a vaccine it's not some miracle

[47:52] it's not practicing all the social

[47:54] distancing and wearing a mask and

[47:56] wearing gloves and doing other things

[47:58] and all those things are well and good

[48:00] but that's not going to change the

[48:02] America what's going to change the

[48:04] America is when Christians realize the

[48:06] only for America is Jesus Christ and

[48:10] we've got to get out of our comfort zone

[48:12] and share that Jesus Christ is the

[48:15] answer for the world today we know that

[48:19] he's the answer because he is alive and

[48:23] there's hope because Jesus lives song

[48:29] writer says I serve a risen Savior he's

[48:34] in the world today I know that he is

[48:37] living whatever men may say I see his

[48:42] hands of mercy I hear his voice of cheer

[48:47] and just the time I need him he's always

[48:52] near he lives he lives Christ Jesus

[48:57] lives today walk with Him and talked

[49:02] with him a long life's narrow way he

[49:06] lives he lives salvation to impart you

[49:11] ask me how I know he lives he lives

[51:39] with the heart man believeth unto

[51:40] righteousness and with the mouth

[51:42] confession is made unto salvation verse

[51:44] 13 of that same chapter says for

[51:46] whosoever shall call upon the name of

[51:49] the Lord shall be saved
