[0:24] all this was a pretty shameful day for

[0:54] new developments in the Boston Marathon
[0:57] bombing and we will have those in just a
[0:59] moment but first there is a major
[1:01] breaking story out of Washington tonight
[1:04] the gun control legislation written
[1:06] after the New Town Massacre has been
[1:09] scuttled in its entirety by the United
[1:11] States Senate moments ago standing with
[1:14] parents from New Town Connecticut the
[1:17] president railed against the Senate so
[1:20] all in all this was a pretty shameful
[1:22] day for
[1:25] Washington but this effort is not over
[1:30] I want to make it clear to the American
[1:31] people we can still bring about
[1:33] meaningful changes that reduce gun
[1:35] violence so long as the American people
[1:37] don't give up on it of course opponents
[1:40] of gun control are elated by the
[1:42] decision and we will start our coverage
