[0:00] investigate

[0:00] >> making sense of an air show disaster.

[0:03] Thousands watched as a former military

[0:05] plane took off, made a turn, then

[0:08] crashed to the ground.

[0:09] >> You could hear like everybody saying,

[0:10] "Oh my god, oh my god."

[0:11] >> Slamming right into a home and catching

[0:13] several others on fire.

[0:15] >> What looked like a giant ball of flame.

[0:17] >> Evidence of the disaster billowed into

[0:19] the air

[0:19] >> where the whole sky was pretty much

[0:21] black.

[0:21] >> A pilot killed, a neighborhood

[0:23] evacuated, and the air show cancelled.

[0:26] Team coverage of the stunning turn of

[0:27] events first on Fox.

[0:30] Good evening. Thanks for joining us. I'm

[0:32] Hillilary Hutcherson

[0:32] >> and I'm Kevin Kawari. First on Fox, more

[0:34] than 5 hours after a plane crashed into

[0:36] a neighborhood, investigators remain on

[0:38] scene. In fact, we're told they just

[0:40] pulled the body of the pilot out of the

[0:42] wreckage. That pilot died after taking

[0:44] off from the Hillsboro airport around

[0:45] 4:25 this afternoon. The plane circled

[0:48] around then went down in a neighborhood

[0:50] and amazingly no one on the ground was

[0:53] hurt. We have team coverage of the air

[0:54] show disaster beginning tonight with

[0:56] KPTV's Deborah Gil live in Hillsboro.

[0:59] >> Kevin, a car labeled FAA has just pulled

[1:02] out from behind this crime scene tape.

[1:03] NTSB, we understand their investigators

[1:05] are on their way. Still here tonight,

[1:07] Hillsboro police to make sure the area

[1:09] is secure. And of course, fire crews

[1:11] remain to make sure any hot sparks from

[1:13] that house cannot flare up again. What

[1:15] led to all this tonight will stay in the

[1:17] minds of witnesses for a long time.

[1:21] You could hear like everybody saying,

[1:22] "Oh my god, oh my god, like what

[1:24] happened?" And the everybody running

[1:26] over there. And this afternoon at about

[1:28] 4:30, disaster struck the Oregon

[1:30] International Air Show for the first

[1:32] time in its 19-year history. Take a look

[1:34] at this home video of the jet, a Blue

[1:36] English Hawker Hunter as it leaves the

[1:38] airport, then turns but never quite

[1:40] gains altitude and then disappears

[1:42] behind the trees.

[1:43] >> There was no flame, no fire, no smoke.

[1:45] He was completely tipped on his right

[1:47] side. So he was perpendicular to the

[1:49] ground and just coming in over the

[1:51] treetops. Just basically brushing, not

[1:53] quite touching, but nearly touching the

[1:55] treetops. Officials say the jet, which

[1:57] was part of the ground display of planes

[1:59] at the air show, was not scheduled for

[2:00] any air maneuvers. They tell us the show

[2:02] was nearly over and the plane was taking

[2:04] off to go back to its home base in

[2:06] Southern California when something went

[2:08] terribly wrong. like a huge jet turned

[2:11] right over that house and we hear the

[2:13] engine shut off and we were it like 10

[2:16] seconds of like nothing and then all of

[2:17] a sudden we hear a huge explosion. Smoke

[2:19] everywhere.

[2:20] >> Witnesses say there were several

[2:22] explosions as the jet hit a house. Three

[2:24] other houses were damaged by the fire.

[2:26] You can see from Air12 the jet crashed

[2:28] into the house three doors down from

[2:30] Kathy Christensen.

[2:31] >> You're in the air show flight path

[2:33] anyway, so we're used to a lot of noise,

[2:34] but they're never ever that low. And as

[2:37] soon as I saw it, I thought, "Dude, pull

[2:40] up." And he crashed in our neighbor's

[2:43] house, three houses down.

[2:44] >> Only the pilot of the jet died. No one

[2:46] on the ground, even those close by, were

[2:48] hurt.

[2:48] >> I didn't have time to even think about

[2:50] it. I had like a half a second to just

[2:53] be astonished and then it was over.

[2:57] Now, coming up tonight at 10:45, we will

[2:59] get you an uplose look at the actual

[3:02] crash scene as investigators are about

[3:05] to let us be on this police tape to get

[3:07] an uplose look and we'll bring that to

[3:08] you at 10:45. For now, reporting live in

[3:10] Hillsboro, Deborah Gild, the 10:00 news.

[3:12] And we know tonight that the owner of

[3:14] that plane is an experienced pilot and

[3:16] instructor. And tonight, the organizers

[3:18] of the air show say Robert Guilford was

[3:21] in town for the event. The 73-year-old

[3:23] man lives in Southern California. KPTV's

[3:26] Jim Hyde joins us now live with more on

[3:28] the man and his plane.

[3:29] >> Robert Guilford had 44 years experience

[3:32] flying all kinds of aircraft and was

[3:34] licensed as an instructor in his 1951

[3:36] Hunter Hawker sweptwing fighter. This is

[3:40] a picture of Robert Guilford with the

[3:41] plane. It wasn't a performer at the air

[3:44] show today, but was out at the airport

[3:46] for people to see. Then just before 4:30

[3:48] this afternoon, the pilot filled the

[3:50] tanks for a flight home to Southern

[3:52] California. Once in the air, it crashed

[3:54] a mile from the airport. The federal

[3:56] investigators at the scene will not

[3:58] confirm the name of the pilot who died

[4:00] in the crash. Presumably, it was Robert

[4:02] Guilford. He was at the air show today.

[4:05] Guilford is an expert in aviation law

[4:07] with degrees from Harvard Law School,

[4:08] then a commercial pilot and instructor's

[4:10] license. He's also capable and

[4:12] experienced to train and certify pilots

[4:14] in a variety of vintage fighter planes.

[4:17] Robert Guilford has been flying since

[4:19] 1961.

[4:21] Agents from the Federal Aviation

[4:22] Administration are in in the scene or at

[4:25] the scene in control tonight. They have

[4:27] yet to confirm the name of the pilot.

[4:30] Reporting live in news control, Jim

[4:32] Hyde, the 10:00 news.

[4:34] >> And now here is a little bit more about

[4:36] the actual plane. It was a 1951 Hawker

[4:38] Hunter retired from Swiss military

[4:40] service. And as Jim just told us, the

[4:42] plane was completely restored and owned

[4:44] by California Attorney Robert Guilford.

[4:47] Hawker Hunters are British jet fighter

[4:49] aircrafts from the 1950s and60s. The

[4:52] Hunters served for many years with the

[4:53] Royal Air Force and they were widely

[4:55] exported, serving with 19 different air

[4:58] forces. A total of 1927 hunters were

[5:01] made.

[5:01] >> Now, as we've been saying, amazingly, no

[5:03] one on the ground was hurt during the

[5:05] crash. But tonight, those whose homes

[5:06] were damaged by the plane are still

[5:08] shaken. Originally, police blocked off a

[5:10] large section of the Hillsboro

[5:12] neighborhood to make sure everyone was

[5:13] okay. But now that the situation is

[5:15] under control, most everyone is back at

[5:17] home except those whose homes were

[5:19] damaged by the crash. KPTV's David

[5:21] Wilson joins us live from the scene with

[5:23] more. David. Yeah, the American Red

[5:24] Cross is on scene here tonight along

[5:26] with chaplain and mental health

[5:27] counselors trying to help this

[5:28] neighborhood come to terms with the

[5:30] disaster.

[5:34] >> Tonight, the crisis in this Hillsboro

[5:36] neighborhood is bringing people

[5:37] together.

[5:38] >> We're a close neighborhood and everybody

[5:40] knows most of the people in the

[5:41] neighborhood. Diane Roth says when the

[5:43] plane crashed into her neighbor Donna

[5:45] Reynolds home, everyone on the street

[5:47] feared the worst.

[5:49] >> We were most concerned and then once we

[5:50] found out that she wasn't there, then we

[5:52] were all relieved.

[5:53] >> Fortunately, Reynolds wasn't home at the

[5:55] time of the crash, but another couple

[5:56] living right next door was.

[5:58] >> Her husband was home um from work for

[6:01] lunch, and so I think they just got out

[6:02] just in time.

[6:04] >> Everybody's really shaken up.

[6:05] Everybody's really shaken up. Um even

[6:08] the neighbors are shaken up. People were

[6:09] running,

[6:11] running scared.

[6:12] >> Melissa Almstead with the American Red

[6:13] Cross says while no one was killed on

[6:15] the ground, the crash is nonetheless

[6:17] devastating, people are trying to cope

[6:19] the loss of property. How close they

[6:21] came to losing their lives.

[6:25] Families are without homes tonight. The

[6:26] Red Cross is offering up hotels to them.

[6:29] We're live in Hillsboro tonight, David

[6:30] Wilson, the 10:00 news.

[6:32] >> And since the air show disaster happened

[6:34] in front of thousands of people,

[6:36] portions of it were caught on camera.

[6:38] Just take a look at some of the pictures

[6:39] sent in to us here at Fox 12. From the

[6:42] beginning, the jet made for quite the

[6:44] sight. A viewer captured the Hawker

[6:45] Hunter jet in the early moments of

[6:47] takeoff. Moments later, people got

[6:49] pictures of it having problems. Then,

[6:51] people in a neighborhood took these

[6:52] shots of the fiery crash site, including

[6:55] several burning homes, as you can see.

[6:57] And on the scene, emergency crews were

[6:58] quick to respond, bringing the fire

[7:00] under control before it could spread. We

[7:02] do invite you to visit our website and

[7:04] send in your pictures of the air show

[7:06] disaster. You can also access more

[7:08] coverage, including a slideshow and

[7:10] video of the crash.

[7:11] >> Well, people driving by or in the area

[7:13] also rushed to help. In fact, a National

[7:15] Guardsman jumped into the action while

[7:17] on his way home. KPTV's Jamie Wilson

[7:19] continues our team coverage tonight with

[7:20] that story.

[7:22] >> Well, right behind me here, you can see

[7:23] that police are still guarding the east

[7:25] side of this crash scene after dozens of

[7:28] officers and firefighters responded

[7:31] within just minutes of impact. But the

[7:33] very first responder to this crash was

[7:36] actually a local dad on his way home for

[7:38] his daughter's birthday.

[7:40] >> And so I'm driving along 55th and I'm

[7:42] watching the airplane come along and

[7:45] it's just dead silent.

[7:46] >> Tonight, Specialist Eric Tucker

[7:48] remembers the exact moment he had to

[7:50] jump back into his role as a public

[7:52] servant. It was just before 4:30 when

[7:55] Eric was driving home from National

[7:57] Guard training. So, he was off duty, but

[8:00] that is when he saw the plane go down.

[8:03] >> Just like 9/11, you're sitting there

[8:05] watching it and it looks like something

[8:06] from a movie. I couldn't believe this

[8:09] was happening, but I had to take some

[8:11] kind of action.

[8:12] >> With just a couple of turns, Eric

[8:14] believes he arrived within 30 seconds of

[8:17] the crash. Immediately, he tried to find

[8:19] out if anyone was inside the demolished

[8:22] house. He called 911 and he started

[8:25] directing traffic away from the fire.

[8:27] People listened. Eric thinks because he

[8:30] was in uniform, but he also admits it

[8:32] was all he could do to stay calm.

[8:35] >> I was just running around telling

[8:36] people, you know, get away. There's

[8:38] flames that could, you know, hurt you.

[8:40] Get away.

[8:41] >> When police arrived, Eric helped them go

[8:43] doortodoor and evacuate nearby homes.

[8:46] And he says it was all just instinct as

[8:48] a guardsman and as himself.

[8:51] >> Maybe it's a father mentality in me. and

[8:53] I have three kids and if somebody's

[8:55] hurt, if one of my kids is hurt, I know

[8:57] I have to help. And that's what I did is

[9:00] I went to where they could use me.

[9:04] And without even planning it or

[9:06] communicating, Eric says that his

[9:08] National Guard sergeant also responded

[9:10] to the plane crash scene without being

[9:12] asked. Live in Hillsboro tonight, Jamie

[9:15] Wilson, the 10:00 news.

[9:16] >> Some background information now about

[9:18] the Oregon International Air Show

[9:20] itself. This marks the 19th year for the

[9:23] air show and a spokesperson says this is

[9:25] the first death in the show's history.

[9:27] The air show is one of the largest

[9:29] events in Washington County. It draws an

[9:31] average of 65,000 people to Hillsboro

[9:34] each summer. During its 19-year history,

[9:36] the air show has donated more than

[9:38] $834,000

[9:40] to the community. The air show is buil

[9:42] as a fun and safe family event. And stay

[9:45] with Fox 12 for continuing coverage of

[9:46] the air show disaster. We will have the

[9:48] latest updates for you tomorrow and Good

[9:50] Day Oregon and tomorrow night on the

[9:51] 10:00 news. Also, we will continue to

[9:53] cover this later on in the Fox 12 final

[9:56] cut. And of course, you can get updates

[9:57] and pictures on our website, kptv.com.

[10:03] >> And time now for first weather with Drew

[10:04] Jackson. Drew, such a beautiful day out

[10:06] there. Is there any chance that the

[10:08] weather was a factor at all in today's

[10:09] air show disaster? Well, that the

[10:12] National Transportation Safety Board's

[10:13] going to investigate here in the coming

[10:15] days. But from my perspective, I

[10:16] seriously doubt that weather played a

[10:18] role because it was just gorgeous out

[10:19] there today. 86° at 4:00 at the

[10:22] Hillsboro airport and just very light

[10:23] winds 5 to 10 miles an hour. Completely

[10:26] clear, sunny skies, too. So, really, you

[10:27] couldn't have asked for a better weather

[10:29] day out at the air show today. High

[10:31] temperatures around the me rest of the

[10:32] metro area. Anywhere from 83 in Scapus

[10:36] to 87 at Hillsboro today, 85 officially

[10:38] at PDX. Now, the all-time record high at

[10:41] the Portland airport ever is 107

[10:44] degrees. Set back a couple times, but

[10:46] most recently 1981. There's a reason I

[10:49] bring this up tonight. We've got a huge

[10:51] heat wave that looks to be coming. More

[10:52] on all that a little bit later on.

[10:55] >> The 10:00 news is just getting started.

[10:58] >> Refusing to leave, the military is

[11:00] trying to get Americans out of the

[11:02] Middle East, but officials say most

[11:04] don't want to go.

[11:05] >> Being late is about to cost you even

[11:07] more. for Portland's parking fines are

[11:09] going up and we have the details.

[11:12] >> Plus, is your drinking water safe? Why

[11:14] people in one Portland neighborhood have

[11:16] fears about what's coming out of the

[11:18] faucet

[11:18] >> and more amazing home video as witnesses

[11:21] roll on a fiery plane crash in

[11:23] Hillsboro.

[11:25] >> You're watching the 10:00 news first

[11:27] live local.

[11:32] >> Accidents are piling up on this

[11:33] dangerous curve according to neighbors.

[11:35] >> Still have nightmares about it. and why

[11:37] the county is not taking action to make

[11:39] it safer. Good Day Oregon tomorrow at 5.

[11:42] >> July is commercial truck month at Dick

[11:44] Mackenzie Ford. Take advantage of huge

[12:13] >> I've been a waitress for 40 years to

[12:16] earn a decent living from for my

[12:17] daughter and myself.

[12:19] My doctor told me I had a smoker's tumor

[12:22] and therefore u I'm dying. I never

[12:25] smoked a day in my life. I never smoked.

[12:28] The air was blue where I worked and I'm

[12:31] dying of lung cancer from secondhand

[12:33] smoke.

[12:42] A local store owner says he caught two

[12:44] robbery suspects red-handed. We'll tell

[12:46] you what he did when he found them

[12:47] coming up on the 10:00 news first live

[12:49] local.

[12:52] >> Over my career, there's one thing that

[12:53] I've learned. Customer service is not

[12:55] about taking care of a customer one

[12:57] time, but about building trust over a

[12:59] lifetime.

[13:00] >> That trust is built by taking care of

[13:02] customers quickly, giving them a neat,

[13:04] clean place to do business, offering a

[13:06] wide variety of products to choose from,

[13:08] and backing those products with a no

[13:10] hassle on the spot warranty.

[13:11] >> From the programs we offer to the

[13:13] products we sell, each one making sure

[13:26] >> It's here and it's big. The Ford Model

[13:29] Year Clearance.

[13:47] Eddie Bower.

[13:52] With only six chefs left in Hell's

[13:54] Kitchen, the pressure's never been

[13:55] greater.

[13:56] >> Oh my god.

[13:57] >> Fox Monday. One contestant does the

[13:59] unthinkable. Disrespecting Chef Ramsey.

[14:02] >> You kidding me?

[14:03] >> And there's going to be hell to pay.

[14:05] >> How dare you? Clear, you fat mouth me.

[14:07] >> Hell's Kitchen. Monday at 8 on Fox 12

[14:10] Oregon.

[14:13] >> Five people are in the hospital tonight

[14:15] after a high-speed crash in Northeast

[14:17] Portland. Elizabeth Willis has

[14:19] life-threatening injuries. Police say

[14:21] she was riding with Cesar Via Lopez when

[14:24] he drove off from a traffic stop around

[14:26] one o'clock this morning at Northeast

[14:28] MLK and Shaver Street. The officer

[14:30] didn't pursue him because she had a ride

[14:32] along with her. Other officers spotted

[14:34] the car, but ended their chase after

[14:36] they say Via Lopez sped through several

[14:38] red lights. The car then crashed head-on

[14:40] with the pickup truck at MLK in Lombard.

[14:43] Via Lopez, Willis, and three people from

[14:45] the truck were taken to the hospital.

[14:47] Police say alcohol may have been a

[14:49] factor.

[14:49] >> The family of a woman killed in a hit

[14:51] and run uh is hoping the driver hears

[14:54] their plea tonight. Kimberly Powell died

[14:56] last night from injuries suffered Friday

[14:58] morning while running along a frontage

[14:59] road near Dodson. This afternoon, KPTV's

[15:02] Jim Hyde talked to some of the people

[15:03] closest to her.

[15:06] >> What's really hard for us um was that

[15:09] she wasn't found until 11:00. So, and

[15:13] she was moving trying to survive um and

[15:16] she was laying in the the blackberry

[15:18] bushes um in severe pain.

[15:21] >> The 23-year-old woman was struck by an

[15:23] oncoming car. Apparently, just moments

[15:26] after beginning her run about 10:15

[15:28] Friday morning. About 11:00, a couple

[15:31] driving by saw the severely injured

[15:33] woman struggling to crawl out of the

[15:35] blackberry bushes and called for help.

[15:38] Kim Powell died last night at Emanuel

[15:40] Hospital. Her stepfather says Kim's

[15:43] mother, Janet, cannot get out of bed,

[15:44] but clings to a picture of her eldest

[15:47] daughter. The family's pain is made

[15:49] worse by the knowledge the driver

[15:51] apparently stopped, then drove away.

[15:54] >> This can't just be another everyday

[15:56] tragic loss that people see in the paper

[15:58] and go to the next page. This this is a

[16:02] human being. This is a girl had an

[16:04] amazing heart.

[16:05] >> What sheriff's detectives don't have is

[16:07] the driver. They do have the passenger

[16:10] side mirror that apparently broke off on

[16:12] impact. Investigators think the vehicle

[16:14] was a car, but say the mirror does not

[16:17] have any name or number on it that tells

[16:19] them what make of car. Her sister and

[16:22] stepfather say she had recently got her

[16:24] GED and was enrolled in community

[16:26] college courses for the fall.

[16:28] >> She was blossoming going from that

[16:29] teenager state to this young woman and

[16:32] she was she was just starting to enjoy

[16:34] life.

[16:36] was KPTV's Jim Hyde reporting. Well,

[16:39] tonight two people are in the hospital

[16:40] after a motorcycle crash in Canbi.

[16:43] Police say the wreck happened when a

[16:44] motorcycle carrying two people failed to

[16:46] make it around a sharp corner. These

[16:48] pictures are of the rescue. Lifeflight

[16:51] took the driver of the motorcycle to the

[16:53] hospital with head and neck injuries.

[16:54] The driver's passenger hurt her

[16:56] shoulder. A Corvalis woman involved in a

[16:59] hit-and-run crash that left a teenager

[17:01] dead is getting out of prison early. Amy

[17:04] Stack was convicted in 2005 of driving

[17:07] into 18-year-old Robin Jensen as Jensen

[17:09] was riding her bike. Stack waited three

[17:12] days to turn herself in. She's now

[17:14] scheduled to be released from prison on

[17:16] August 1st after serving eight months of

[17:18] a 2-year sentence. After that, she'll be

[17:20] placed in transitional leave for 90

[17:22] days.

[17:23] >> Well, the Vancouver woman who crashed

[17:24] her car into a fire engine on Easter

[17:26] Sunday is going to prison. Shelley

[17:28] Alfred was driving drunk with four kids

[17:30] in the car when she rammed the engine at

[17:32] a stoplight. None of them were wearing

[17:34] seat belts and they all went to the

[17:35] hospital with serious injuries. A judge

[17:37] sentenced Alfred last week to prison for

[17:38] three years and seven months. Her kids

[17:41] were given to her parents after the

[17:42] wreck.

[17:43] >> One teenager is in the hospital tonight

[17:45] and another is in jail after police say

[17:47] the two broke into a Beaver Creek store,

[17:50] shot at the owner, and the owner shot

[17:52] back. Clackamus County deputies tell us

[17:54] that last night the owners of Clark's

[17:56] General Store heard breaking glass. The

[17:59] owner, Robert Frink, went to investigate

[18:01] armed with a shotgun. He says he told

[18:03] police that he found two teenagers

[18:05] breaking into the cash register.

[18:07] Deputies say one teen ran out and Frink

[18:09] stopped the other and told him to empty

[18:11] his pockets. But they say the other teen

[18:13] then returned with a gun. Then both

[18:15] started running. Deputies say Frink and

[18:17] a neighbor who also heard the breaking

[18:19] glass, chased them, but the teens

[18:20] allegedly fired shots and then Frink

[18:23] fired back. A 16-year-old boy was hit in

[18:26] his backside with buckshot from Frink's

[18:28] gun and was lifellighted to the

[18:29] hospital. His 18-year-old relative,

[18:31] Jamal Shahadi, was arrested. Neighbors

[18:33] were shocked by the sound of gunfire,

[18:35] sirens, and a helicopter, but they say

[18:37] they totally support Robert Frink's

[18:39] decision.

[18:41] >> Yeah, I would have done that defending

[18:42] my property, especially somebody firing

[18:45] at me first. I would have definitely

[18:49] done the same thing Robert did.

[18:51] >> Deputies say the 16-year-old is in fair

[18:53] condition. They also tell us tonight the

[18:55] boys are from Tiger, but they do not say

[18:57] what they were doing in the Beaver Creek

[18:59] area.

[18:59] >> Well, starting tomorrow, you really

[19:01] don't want to overstay your welcome in

[19:03] Portland's metered parking spaces.

[19:05] KPTV's Marilyn Deutsch explains.

[19:08] >> When you rent that minuteby minute,

[19:10] hourby hour on street space in the city,

[19:13] do not let that meter expire. Monday,

[19:15] your penance for taking advantage of

[19:17] that parking privilege jumps from $16 to

[19:19] $24 a ticket.

[19:21] >> Oh, wow. The city says that hike still

[19:23] keeps Portland's parking tickets below

[19:26] the average of comparable cities such as

[19:28] Seattle, Tucson, and San Francisco. But

[19:31] then again, it depends which cities you

[19:33] compare Portland to.

[19:34] >> And yeah, it's $7 for a fine in

[19:37] Vancouver just across the bridge.

[19:39] >> Well, that's going to be $24 here in

[19:41] Portland starting tomorrow.

[19:43] >> That's kind of excessive.

[19:44] >> The cost of other parking and safety

[19:46] violations going up even more Monday,

[19:48] $10 to $30 a ticket. City fathers saying

[19:51] too many drivers disregarding loading

[19:54] zones, intersections, and bike lanes.

[19:57] Those parking violations often putting

[19:59] pedestrians and bicyclists in harm's

[20:02] way.

[20:02] >> Well, if it's going to make it safer for

[20:04] bicycle riders, yeah, I think it's a

[20:05] good idea. Um, I still don't think that

[20:08] blending bicycle riders with traffic is

[20:10] is is very smart to begin with.

[20:12] >> The new fines are designed to make

[20:14] people pay for their mistakes.

[20:16] >> They have the parking meters for a

[20:17] reason. They have parking garages and

[20:20] >> if they don't want to follow it, they're

[20:21] going to pay for it.

[20:23] >> And that was KPTV's Marilyn Deutsch

[20:25] reporting. This is the first time the

[20:26] city has increased parking fines in the

[20:28] last 6 years. Well, tonight we have

[20:31] continuing coverage of a deadly plane

[20:32] crash in Hillsboro.

[20:34] >> We've been covering this all afternoon

[20:35] and into the evening. Coming up, more

[20:37] home video. Plus, here from witnesses

[20:39] who watched as the plane plummeted into

[20:41] homes and burst into flames.

[20:43] >> And violence heats up in the Middle

[20:44] East. here. Why the US is struggling to

[20:47] get Americans out.

[20:48] >> And some good news tonight, at least

[20:50] with the weather. 68 the current

[20:51] temperature outside. Crystal clear sky.

[20:53] Gorgeous evening out there. Take a look

[20:55] outside right now. You can see from our

[20:57] Fox Tower camera. Not even a whole lot

[20:59] of wind to bounce the camera around. But

[21:01] we've got some real hot weather coming.

[21:03] Details in the 7-day forecast upcoming.

[21:06] >> You're watching the 10:00 news. First,

[21:09] live local.

[21:13] Every car dealer writes ads to make you

[21:15] think they're the best. We do it, too.

[21:17] The difference is that at Broadway

[21:18] Toyota, we talk the talk and we walk the

[21:20] walk. And that's why little old Broadway

[21:22] Toyota at the Rose Quarter consistently

[21:24] sells more Toyotas than the mega dealers

[21:26] do, proving that if you really do have

[21:27] the best prices every day. And if you

[21:30] really do treat every customer like

[21:31] they're the only one on your lot, the

[21:33] word gets around. So, Portland, if

[21:35] you're even thinking about buying a

[21:36] Toyota, Broadway is the only way. Just

[21:39] get off at the I5 Rose Quarter exit and

[21:41] head two blocks east.

[21:43] >> Whether they are walking, running, or

[21:47] riding, Team Subway members are helping

[21:50] local charities and staying fit by

[21:51] participating in community fundraisers.

[21:54] And at many events, Team Subway has

[21:56] provided samples of delicious Subway

[21:57] sandwiches, too. Healthier eating.
