[0:18] data recorder on Egypt Air 9990. It adds

[0:21] to the mystery. Washington at Work, the

[0:55] >> Good evening. We learned from the

[0:56] National Transportation Safety Board

[0:58] this afternoon that when Egypt Airflight

[1:00] 990 began its final dive towards the

[1:02] ocean 11 days ago, it was doing what the

[1:06] controls in the cockpit were telling it

[1:08] to do. In other words, it was a

[1:10] controlled descent tracked by the flight

[1:12] data recorder in its black box right

[1:14] down to 19,000 ft just a few seconds

[1:17] before it quit recording information.

[1:19] The chairman of the safety board was

[1:20] very careful to say today this was an

[1:22] incomplete answer to what caused the

[1:25] death of more than 200 people. And ABC's

[1:27] Lisa Stark reports tonight that

[1:29] information revealed has only made what

[1:32] happened to this plane more mysterious.

[1:37] from Egypt Airflight 990 and its

[1:39] magnetic tape have answered some

[1:42] questions, but raised many more. A

[1:45] preliminary reading of the tape shows no
