[0:09] area again it appears uh only uh not
[0:12] from seismological accounts or records
[0:14] yet but from eyewitness anecdotal
[0:16] information we're getting from our staff
[0:18] and correspondents on the scene a very
[0:20] sharp Tremor which Reuters reports
[0:22] lasted about 60 seconds and our
[0:24] correspondents and others tell us was
[0:26] followed by two sharp aftershocks uh
[0:30] felt throughout the Los Angeles area and
[0:32] did at least minor damage that we know
[0:34] of beyond that we can't say and we'll be
[0:36] getting more word and when we get it
[0:38] we'll bring it to you we also don't know
[0:40] yet the precise strength of the Quake
[0:42] our correspondents once again if you're
[0:44] wondering who's watching the store we in
[0:46] the Los Angeles area in connection with
[0:48] last night's cable Awards Ace
[0:50] presentations there are enough people
[0:52] here watching and we will keep you up to

[1:13] and was followed by two sharp
[1:16] aftershocks within the next several
[1:18] minutes we also have reports that uh
[1:21] this earthquake was not only felt uh uh
[1:23] in Los Angeles but as far away as Las
[1:26] Vegas Marcy Spencer CBS News producer is
[1:29] on on the phone with us right now from
[1:31] Los Angeles Marcy uh what can you tell
[1:35] us about what's going on there now and
