[0:00] Hey everyone. Today, I am going to build
[0:03] an AI skill from scratch and share five
[0:06] advanced tips along the way that you
[0:08] won't find anywhere else. And that's
[0:10] because I've been completely AI
[0:12] skill-pilled. It's just incredible to be
[0:14] able to encode my personal knowledge and
[0:16] tastes into a reusable AI skill that can
[0:19] help me save so much time every week.
[0:22] And I promise you, if you build your own
[0:23] skills, it can help you save time, too.
[0:26] All right, so let's do a quick recap
[0:27] first. What exactly is an AI skill?
[0:30] Well, a skill is just a folder with
[0:32] instructions that AI can trigger for a
[0:35] given task.
[0:36] And why don't we build a skill to edit
[0:39] long-form posts and long-form copy? And
[0:41] we'll call it the edit post skill.
[0:43] And this is what the skill will look
[0:44] like by the end of this tutorial. It's
[0:46] going to have a bunch of files
[0:48] and it's going to be in a folder. And
[0:50] we're going to build a skill live by
[0:52] following these five steps. So, first,
[0:54] we are going to create the skill by
[0:56] using my best examples and personal
[0:58] context. Then, we are going to uh be
[1:01] explicit about when the skill should
[1:03] trigger by updating the description of
[1:05] the skill.
[1:06] And then, we are going to test the skill
[1:08] manually and build an evals.md
[1:12] so that it can actually check its own
[1:13] work and improve its own output without
[1:15] us even being there.
[1:17] And number four, we are going to build a
[1:19] memory.md so the skill has memory of our
[1:21] past conversations and can actually
[1:24] improve itself over time.
[1:26] And then finally, I'm going to show you
[1:27] a skill
[1:28] that can help you
