[5:04] Harvest this is talking about souls it's

[5:07] much more exciting much more

[5:09] rejoicing when one Soul gets saved how

[5:13] much more when you get to be a part of

[5:15] that Soul's salvation you get to heaven

[5:18] at the time of harvest and you can be

[5:20] rejoicing because you've got sheaves

[5:23] that you were responsible for help

[14:40] best missions Sunday and we've got a

[14:43] video presentation from Brother Hall

[14:44] that deals with best missions many of

[14:46] you last week made mention to you didn't

[14:48] know him and so we wanted to share this

[14:50] video with you so you'd be aware of this

[14:53] uh Ministry it's a great opportunity uh

[14:55] that the Lord's opened up there so we'll

[14:57] get the video ready pay attention and

[14:59] then right after the video we'll come

[15:00] back have a word of prayer and take up

[15:02] the

[15:26] offering best misses was started in 2004

[15:30] by missionary to Thailand Dr Bob Bowen

[15:33] it started as a seeing the need that

[15:36] churches in Thailand had for scripture

[15:39] and not having the availability of

[15:41] scripture and then from Thailand it

[15:44] began to grow Beyond Thailand and other

[15:47] parts of Southeast Asia in 2014 my wife

[15:52] Amber and I took a mission's trip to

[15:54] Thailand as a supporting pastor and

[15:57] pastor's wife to uh see the work that

[16:00] God was using brother boen to do we'

[16:02] read his prayer letters and heard about

[16:04] all the things that God was doing there

[16:06] and how he was blessing the churches and

[16:08] helping them to get scripture we had

[16:10] taken other missions trips before but

[16:13] God spoke to our hearts differently on

[16:15] this missions trip we came back

[16:17] determined to do more that we could to

[16:20] try and help him best missions stands

[16:23] for Bible Educational Services and

[16:26] training it is a Bible publication and

[16:29] distribution ministry as well as An

[16:32] Education and Training Ministry for

[16:35] National pastors and most of Southeast

[16:38] Asia are predominantly Buddhist

[16:40] countries Christianity in Thailand is

[16:43] less than half a percent in most of the

[16:46] countries in Southeast Asia Christianity

[16:48] is less than 2% seeing the need

[16:52] realizing that they do not have uh

[16:54] Christian bookstores or availability of

[16:57] Christian literature it was started to

[16:59] be able to help churches have what they

[17:01] need as far as scripture and

[17:03] discipleship material Bast has been able

[17:06] to help churches of missionaries in 19

[17:09] different countries be able publish the

[17:11] Bible in 14 different languages an

[17:14] average cost of $8 will produce a whole

[17:17] Bible for us through our printer there

[17:20] in Southeast Asia the vision of best

[17:23] missions is found in John 8:31 where

[17:27] Jesus said if you continue continue in

[17:29] my word then are you my disciples indeed

[17:33] I always ask the question how do you

[17:35] continue in something you do not have

[17:37] and how do you truly become a disciple

[17:39] of the Lord Jesus Christ without the

[17:41] word of God and so our goal is to work

[17:44] from publishing the Bible to producing a

[17:47] disciple ultimately we want to fulfill

[17:50] the Great Commission of what the Lord

[17:52] Jesus Christ said when he said we go to

[17:55] Jerusalem Judea Samaria and unto the

[17:59] uttermost parts of the earth and while

[18:01] we are focused in Southeast Asia and

[18:05] while our main Distribution Center is in

[18:08] Bangkok Thailand the ultimate goal of

[18:11] best missions is to get the gospel and

[18:13] the word of God to the uttermost parts

[18:16] of the earth one of the goals of best

[18:19] missions is not only publishing and

[18:21] distributing scripture we also work to

[18:24] help educate and train National pastors

[18:27] 90% of the world's pastors do not have

[18:29] formal Bible College training brother

[18:32] Bowen and I both have worked in the

[18:34] field of Christian education through

[18:36] churches and colleges in the states and

[18:39] so we try to bring Bible College uh to

[18:42] the pastors through uh Christian service

[18:45] conferences through pastor's conferences

[18:47] and the average cost for us to be able

[18:49] to do a uh 2 and a half to 3- day

[18:52] conference for a pastor is $100 per

[18:56] Pastor that enables us to be able to

[18:59] Lodge a pastor feed a pastor and give a

[19:02] pastor materials to take home with him

[19:05] to help him feel better equipped to

[19:08] reach and teach not only people in his

[19:11] community but also people in his church

[19:14] best missions is a Ministry of colonial

[19:17] Baptist Church in Rogers Arkansas when I

[19:20] stepped out of the pastorate in 2016 to

[19:23] come alongside brother Bo full-time in

[19:26] the work of best missions I was allowed

[19:29] to to bring best missions to Colonial

[19:32] and that became our sending church and

[19:34] it is also the parent Church of best

[19:37] missions and so we have our main office

[19:40] there at Colonial and then we also have

[19:43] our main Distribution Center in Bangkok

[19:46] Thailand and we have smaller

[19:48] distribution centers located throughout

[19:51] parts of Thailand that are close to the

[19:54] borders of other countries that enables

[19:57] us to be able to get scripture and

[19:59] materials into other parts of the

[20:01] country we're very thankful for our

[20:03] sending Church our home Church Colonial

[20:05] Baptist Church and their investment in

[20:08] the work of best missions hi my name is

[20:11] tan Jan I'm from Thailand and I work

[20:14] with best Mission as a distribution

[20:16] manager here in Southeast Asia I would

[20:18] like to say thank you to pastor and

[20:21] church who support our ministry and for

[20:24] us to be able to continue the work of

[20:26] the Lord here in Asia and for Asian

[20:29] people to own a copy the word in their

[20:31] own language is a wonderful thing that

[20:33] we could have and thank you for

[20:35] supporting our ministry so we could give

[20:37] the word out for people to study the

[20:39] word and also to be able to preach the

[20:42] word of God I want to say thank you and

[21:08] he's um is just thankful to see what

[21:10] God's been able to do the distribution

[21:12] center in Bangkok is filled and then

[21:19] them opportunity to get into the

[21:20] surrounding countries that do not allow

[21:22] scripture in but we're able to get them

[21:25] in and so we praise the Lord for all the

[21:27] work is there so today as I mentioned

[21:30] the last couple weeks is best missions

[21:32] Sunday uh tomorrow morning um pastor and

[21:35] his family we're going to be leaving in

[21:36] the morning to go to Rogers Arkansas it

[21:39] is their best missions conference and

[21:41] they've asked me to be one of the

[21:42] speakers and so I'll be preaching

[21:44] Tuesday Morning um but thankful for the

[21:46] opportunity so we want to go and be part

[21:48] of the conference looking forward to

[21:50] that you pray for us as we travel and

[21:51] then make our way back but also uh we

[21:54] want to be a blessing we support brother

[21:55] Hall in his ministry we support him

[21:59] uh physically him and his wife we give

[22:01] them monthly support and then every

[22:02] month we also give support to the Bible

[22:05] Ministry the Bible education training

[22:06] Ministry we have the box out here the

[22:09] change to change the life people bring

[22:11] in their change put in the box and we

[22:12] send that offering accordly through uh

[22:15] different seasons and send that over

[22:17] there but we want to do they're doing a

[22:19] special project and working on that this

[22:21] next week and so we're going to try to

[22:24] take an offering today and so if you'd

[22:26] like to give to best missions just mark

[22:27] it on your own envelope there best

[22:29] missions uh if you already filled out

[22:31] your tithe check and you put that on

[22:33] there you can do that if you want to

[22:34] give a special offering just for best

[22:36] missions uh you can do that today it' be

[22:38] a great blessing and we'll take that

[22:40] offering with us and thankful for all

[22:43] that God's done in best missions through

[22:46] best missions pray for brother Hall

[22:48] Thursday he'll be here in Oklahoma City

[22:51] and so Wednesday he's coming over and

[22:53] then Thursday he's preaching Chapel at

[22:55] Heartland Baptist Bible College and so

[22:57] you pray for brother Hall as preaches on

[22:59] Thursday and so we're looking forward to

[23:01] a great time uh with them over at the

[23:03] conference the next two days and then

[23:05] we'll be back on Wednesday uh but let's

[23:08] ushers if you'll get in your place we'll

[23:10] get ready to take up this morning's

[23:11] offering thankful for all those that are

[23:14] here thankful for your faithfulness to

[23:16] give uh the work of the ministry takes

[23:19] finances it's just part of the process

[23:22] that God uses so we want to encourage

[23:23] you to be faithful in your giving to the

[23:25] Lord if you want to give something

[31:22] morning my heart is uh rejoicing in the

[31:27] fact that I I

[31:29] know that one day I'll see my Lord in

[31:35] heaven this week for those that are not

[31:38] aware the Lord called home one of our

[31:41] church members Miss Jerry Harris went

[31:43] home to be with the Lord early this

[31:45] morning she had earlier in the week had

[31:48] a massive stroke and heart attack and

[31:51] early this morning about 12:20 this

[31:53] morning uh the Lord took her home to be

[31:57] with him so we pray for the family the

[31:59] Harris family and be later on in this

[32:02] week we'll be having a funeral here at

[32:04] the church uh once we get all those

[32:07] details we'll let you know for certain

[32:09] when it is and how you can be a help and

[32:11] a blessing to the

[32:15] family and sometimes it can be

[32:20] sorrowful but we don't sorrow as those

[32:22] who have no

[32:24] hope and I'm thankful for the hope of

[32:27] Heaven and last Sunday morning I

[32:30] standing at the door and Miss Jerry came

[32:33] by and said pastor I'm ready to go home

[32:35] and be with the

[32:36] Lord didn't know it was going to be this

[32:39] week but she was ready to go home and be

[32:42] with the

[32:43] Lord the month of September is an

[32:46] emphasis on missions for our

[32:51] church and God is in the business of

[32:56] Souls and the work

[32:58] of changing lives and saving Souls God

[33:02] is still in that

[33:05] work and sometimes in our lives it

[33:09] gets

[33:11] discouraging when we don't

[33:14] see numbers and numbers and numbers of

[33:17] people being

[33:19] saved so this morning if you have your

[33:21] Bibles I want you go to the book of Acts

[33:23] chapter number

[33:24] 26 we're going look at a portion of

[33:26] scripture here beginning in verse number

[33:28] 22 of Acts 26 and reading through the

[33:31] end of the chapter and I find four

[33:33] responses to the gospel here in Acts

[33:36] chapter 26 four responses to the gospel

[33:39] so if you're able would you please stand

[33:40] in honor of the word of God as we read

[33:42] this morning from Acts chapter number

[33:45] 26 verse number 22 having therefore

[33:48] obtained help of God I continue unto

[33:51] this day witnessing both to the small

[33:53] and the great saying none other things

[33:56] than those which the prophets and Moses

[33:58] did say should come that Christ should

[34:00] suffer that he should be the first that

[34:02] should rise from the dead and that

[34:04] should show light unto the people and to

[34:06] the Gentiles and as he thus spake for

[34:09] himself fesus said with a loud voice

[34:12] Paul Thou Art beside thyself much

[34:15] learning doth make thee mad but he said

[34:18] I am not mad most noble fesus but speak

[34:21] forth the words of truth and soberness

[34:24] for the king knoweth of these things

[34:26] before whom also so I speak freely for I

[35:30] you would please cleanse me of sin and

[35:32] empty me of myself that I might get out

[35:34] of the way this morning and your word

[35:36] may go forth Lord I pray you'd speak to

[35:37] our hearts challenge us from your word

[35:43] seated the beginning of Acts 26 King AG

[35:46] grippa Paul appears before him and Paul

[35:50] shares his testimony in the first part

[35:53] of the chapter verses uh chapter

[35:55] beginning in verse one all the way down

[35:57] even into verse 21 giving a little bit

[36:00] about what has happened in the call of

[36:03] God upon his life how he got saved how

[36:04] he got called to preach and then the

[36:06] ministry that he's had the resistance

[36:08] that he's faced and then we pick up the

[36:11] account in verse 22 and so having

[36:14] therefore obtained help of God I

[36:17] continue unto this day witnessing both

[36:20] to the small and the great he talks

[36:23] about what he's saying so he gives his

[36:25] account of his testimony in the

[36:27] beginning part of the chapter he talks

[36:29] about Jesus Christ and the gospel here

[36:33] and then Paul reveals that God's allowed

[36:36] him to continue to

[36:38] witness and we come to the first

[36:40] response when we get to verse number

[36:42] 24 and thus he spake for himself fesus

[37:06] for us one response that people have

[37:09] towards the gospel the response here is

[37:12] he says to Paul Paul you're mad much

[37:14] learning you your brain's not right Paul

[37:18] something's wrong with you you you much

[37:20] learning doesn't make mad you're you're

[37:21] crazy and and in dealing with people

[37:23] there'll be people that you share the

[37:24] gospel

[37:25] with that think you're nuts

[37:29] and my dad used to say it this way we

[37:31] may be nuts but at least we're anchored

[37:32] to the right

[37:34] bolt we may be nuts but at least we're

[37:36] anchored to the right bolt and that

[37:37] bolts Jesus

[37:39] Christ the reality is is that some

[37:41] people just don't understand it that

[37:43] they think it's crazy it can't be that

[37:45] easy it can't be that simple and it is

[37:47] salvation is simple it's faith in Jesus

[37:51] Christ it's Believing on him it's

[37:52] letting the Holy Spirit convict your

[37:55] soul and recognize I'm a sinner need to

[37:57] be saved and then recognizing that Jesus

[38:01] died for me that he was buried that he

[38:02] rose again the third day according to

[38:04] the scriptures and calling upon him to

[38:05] be

[38:06] saved it's a Salvation that takes place

[38:09] but the gospel is simple but here

[38:13] fesus much learning does make the bad

[38:15] notice verse 25 Paul's response but he

[38:18] said I am not mad most noble

[38:20] fesus but speak forth the words of

[38:24] truth and soberness

[38:28] the gospel is

[39:05] Gospel so Paul's initial response after

[39:08] he realizes fesus is not going to

[39:37] persuadest me to be a Christian the

[39:42] crazy they think you're mad you don't

[39:44] second response is there you get a lot

[39:46] of people that'll be

[39:50] persuaded Almost Persuaded Almost

[39:53] Persuaded is still 100% lost

[39:58] almost thou persuadest me to be a

[40:02] Christian how sad to be almost

[40:07] saved how sad to be almost a

[40:12] Believer he will not be able to stand

[40:14] before God say God I said almost God

[40:16] will say depart from me I never knew

[40:20] you first response to the gospel is

[40:23] you're mad you're crazy second response
