[0:00] Thank you both so much for being here on
[0:02] what I'm sure is a very busy and
[0:04] momentous day. Um,
[0:06] >> thanks for having us.
[0:07] >> Father Joseph, let me start with you
[0:09] because now today after more than four
[0:11] years, your father is walking free. Just
[0:14] tell us what the moment means to you.
[0:17] >> Well, uh, it's a a moment of unity for a
[0:20] family because, um, you know, he was
[0:24] basically disappeared. you know, we lost
[0:26] track of him completely for roughly
[0:30] three years. And uh to have that
[0:32] uncertainty just hang over the family
[0:35] is, you could imagine um distressing.
[0:39] >> It took a toll.
[0:40] >> Yes.
[0:42] >> Have you spoken to him?
[0:43] >> Uh we spoke briefly
[0:46] on the flight or before the flight.
[0:49] >> Before takeoff.
[0:50] >> Yeah, before takeoff. just uh but it was
[0:53] it was a crowded room so we spoke and he
[0:57] expressed his um his enthusiasm for
[1:00] seeing me, his enthusiasm for returning
[1:03] home. He asked about Thomas and uh but
[1:06] Steve Wickoff was in the room. Love that
[1:09] guy. But he he he also let's say how do
[1:13] you say um
[1:15] dominated the conversation.
[1:17] >> Mhm.
[1:18] >> Yeah.
[1:18] >> You didn't have privacy. It wasn't just
[1:20] a father dis.
[1:21] >> No, it wasn't. It wasn't.
[1:23] >> That will come later. When do you expect
[1:25] to see your father?
[1:26] >> Uh, hopefully around 8:30 this evening.
[1:30] >> Mhm. And when you spoke to him, how did
[1:32] he sound?
[1:33] >> He sounded good. He sounded good. We had
[1:35] a a brief conversation back in May of
[1:37] 2025. And there his um his speech was
[1:40] much more reserved. Um
[1:44] he didn't really enunciate well. He
[1:46] seemed very tired. Today he sounded
[1:49] better. Do you remember his
