[0:00] talent. We're in a music tonight. The US
[0:03] sends a thousand Marines into
[0:04] Afghanistan. The president says
[0:06] Americans at home should be prepared for
[0:08] casualties. Five American soldiers are
[0:11] injured today by a US bomb while trying
[0:14] to put down a prison revolt. A massive
[0:17] snowstorm in the Rockies is now on its
[0:19] way to the Midwest. The recession is
[0:22] official, the first in a decade, and
[0:26] definitely not for soccer moms. The
[0:28] armorplated SUV, tear gas is optioned.

[1:07] be, in his words, prepared for the loss
[1:10] of life. ABC's Martha Radits is at the
[1:12] Pentagon tonight. And so, Martha, the US
[1:14] campaign in Afghanistan goes up another
[1:16] gear. It certainly does, Peter. This
[1:19] moves the battle to a far more serious
[1:21] phase. Already today, Marine helicopters
[1:24] have attacked an armored
[1:27] convoy. 500 Marines were still digging
[1:30] in at an airirstrip 65 miles outside of
[1:33] Kandahar today when reconnaissance
[1:35] aircraft spotted what were believed to
[1:37] be Taliban tanks, troops, and armored
[1:40] fighting vehicles near
