[0:08] Bradley. It's 2:00 p.m. in the East and
[0:10] another apparent building collapse in
[0:12] Lower Manhattan within the past few
[0:14] minutes was reported, but then it was
[0:16] confirmed that the building had not, at
[0:17] least not yet, collapsed.
[0:20] In Washington, Attorney General John
[0:22] Ashcroft says there were at least 18
[0:24] hijackers on the planes and all five
[0:27] hijackers each on two of the aircraft,
[0:30] four each on the two others. Ashcroft
[0:32] says they had the support of a quote
[0:34] significant number of associates on the
[0:36] ground.
[0:37] Pentagon number two man Paul Wolfowitz
[0:40] is promising quote a sustained military
[0:42] campaign against those responsible, but
[0:45] he cautions it will take time. But when
[0:47] a high-ranking Defense Department
[0:49] official talks to us about a sustained
[0:51] military operation, that's a significant
[0:54] development. Also happening this hour,
[0:56] at least five and possibly seven New
[0:59] York City firefighters have been found
[1:01] alive in the debris and rescued within
[1:03] the hour at the World Trade Center. Five
[1:05] of them
[1:06] were believed to be trapped in an SUV.
[1:09] They got out alive. President Bush will
[1:11] visit New York City tomorrow. The
[1:13] president has declared Friday a national
[1:15] day of prayer and remembrance. New York
[1:18] City Mayor Giuliani says 4,763
[1:21] people are missing, including those on
[1:24] board the two aircraft that hit the
[1:25] World Trade Center towers. 94 bodies
