[0:00] and the story basically goes you walk up
[0:01] to three people they're laying bricks
[0:03] you ask the first person what's your job
[0:05] they say well I take the bricks from
[0:07] this pile put them over here you ask the
[0:09] second person what's your job and they
[0:11] tell you well I put the cement on top of
[0:12] the bricks over there and then you go
[0:14] and ask the third person what's your job
[0:16] and they say we're building a cathedral
[0:18] and the basic idea behind this you know
[0:21] for product people it's and leaders it's
[0:23] a py little reminder that your team
[0:25] needs to understand the cathedral that
[0:27] they're actually building because nobody
[0:29] wants to live bricks all day in service
[0:31] of nothing and you know for me it was
[0:33] told to me by shashir in a one-on-one
[0:36] where I was kind of bemoaning the fact
[0:38] that my team wasn't reaching their full
[0:40] potential and he asked me this question
[0:42] of well do they have a clear Cathedral
[0:45] and at the time I didn't have any idea
[0:46] what he was talking about and then he
[0:47] explained the story and it sort of
[0:48] immediately clicked for me my guest
