[0:10] carnage in Kosovo, but presses ahead
[0:12] with its heaviest air raids yet. Major
[0:15] explosions rock this capital city under
[0:18] siege.

[0:28] Yugoslavia.
[0:31] Good evening from Belgrade. NATO
[0:33] acknowledges responsibility for that
[0:35] deadly air strike on a country road in
[0:36] Kosovo, but blames the Serb leader and
[0:39] his ethnic cleansing for putting the
[0:41] refugees in harm's way. The story and
[0:44] the pictures have handed Sloban
[0:47] Mallovich a propaganda victory of no
[0:49] small proportions. But that has not
[0:51] stopped the NATO alliance from stepping
[0:53] up the air war yet again. Here in
[0:56] Bgrade, they're angry and shaken.
[1:03] Belgrade was bombarded again and again
[1:06] last night. Perhaps the heaviest night
[1:08] of attacks the city has seen since the
[1:10] air campaign began. We could hear the
[1:12] blasts. They were on the outskirts, but
[1:14] they rocked buildings all the way to
[1:16] downtown.
[1:18] Today, Belgrade mayor and his
[1:20] English-speaking deputy mayor gave us a
[1:22] tour. A lot of local uh municipal
[1:26] buildings and also the uh residential uh
[1:30] houses are destroyed inside because the
[1:33] impact is uh something like earthquake
[1:36] of 6 to 7°. But the actual factory
[1:40] impact sites just over the hillside
[1:43] weren't on the itinerary, at least not
[1:45] for a foreign reporter.
[1:48] This following yesterday's tragedy in
[1:50] which some 70 civilians, many of them
[1:52] refugees, were killed when a NATO jet
[1:55] attacked their
