[0:00] ISM advance. Scientists find a genetic
[0:02] link to some autism cases. Could it lead
[0:05] to a revolution in treatment? Plus, the
[0:07] new electronics that will soon be part
[0:09] of American life. They're here at the
[0:11] Consumer Electronic Show in Las Vegas.
[0:14] Nightly News from Nevada begins now.
[0:20] [music]
[0:20] >> This is NBC Nightly News with Brian
[0:23] Williams.
[0:27] >> And good evening from Nevada. the next
[0:29] important state in the race for
[0:31] president, which was turned upside down
[0:34] last night in New Hampshire. The

[1:05] modern presidential politics just when
[1:07] it was thought she was going down to a
[1:09] doubledigit defeat at the hands of
[1:11] Barack Obama. On the Republican side,
[1:14] John McCain pulled off a big comeback
[1:16] victory of his own. That further
[1:18] complicates a now robust race to the GOP
[1:22] nomination. We have got it all covered
[1:24] tonight. Our political team is in place
[1:26] after another long night on the road. We
[1:28] will start off with Andrea Mitchell in
[1:30] Washington. Andrea, good evening.
[1:32] >> Good evening, Brian. It was a stunning
[1:34] upset that no one predicted, not
