[0:00] Determine
[0:00] >> weather in the northwest. Thunder,
[0:02] lightning, heavy storms, and cold
[0:04] temperatures rock Oregon. Rain hits
[0:06] Portland while snow pounds Mount Hood.
[0:08] And it's not even winter yet. [music]
[0:10] Tonight, Storm Team 12 watches the
[0:12] weather first on Fox.
[0:15] You name it, and Oregon seen it. Wild
[0:17] weather that's hit every part of the
[0:18] state, including the first major
[0:20] snowstorm of the year. Snow began
[0:22] falling over the weekend on Mount Hood
[0:24] and continued throughout the day. We'll
[0:26] take you live to the mountain in just a
[0:28] few minutes. But first, it was a wet day
[0:29] here in Portland as well, but our
[0:31] precipitation was measured in rainwater.

[0:49] low pressure, cold air is spilled in,
[0:51] and this is winter type stuff. And when
[0:53] you get winter type weather flow in the
[0:55] fall, when you still have relatively a
[0:57] lot of daylight hours, meaning sun
[0:58] heating things up, you can really get
[1:00] some surprises in terms of just how
[1:02] stormy weather can quickly turn. Up to
[1:04] Timberline we go. There's Mount Hood.
[1:07] The last report we picked up some 8 ines
[1:10] of snow. Now remember, Timberline sits
[1:12] up at about 6,000 ft. So very wintry
[1:15] like up there. By the time you get down
[1:16] to past levels, no snow to speak of.
[1:19] Perhaps some wet snow falling up there
