[1:03] of Florida's history, he's one of the
[1:05] great governors of our nation. and he
[1:07] deserves a second term. [applause]
[1:11] >> President Bush stroed back into party
[1:14] politics this week, raising money for
[1:16] the re-election of his brother, Jeb,
[1:19] Republican Florida governor. This was a
[1:22] line in the sand. For four months,
[1:25] George Bush has been a war president.
[1:28] That status kept him well above the fray
[1:30] of party politics. He wanted it that
[1:32] way. It brought him almost unconditional
[1:35] bipartisan support. But this
[1:37] self-imposed hiatus from politics also
[1:40] brought confusion, disappointment, and
[1:42] worry to his Republican brothers on
[1:44] Capitol Hill. Now Bush has crossed back
[1:48] to become not only the war president,
[1:50] but now the party president, his party,
[1:53] the Republican party. It was on display
[1:56] not only at Jeb's fundraiser, but also
[1:59] in the return of raw bone politics.
[2:02] as shown in his rebuke this week to
[2:04] Democratic Senate Majority Leader Tom
[2:06] Dashel, a shiv wielding street fighter
[2:09] in his own right, who last year denied
[2:13] any action
