[0:00] too much of a different posture than we
[0:02] than we were last night. We're not here
[0:04] to take over the investigation yet.
[0:06] We're not here to declare uh that this
[0:09] is a terrorist event,
[0:12] but the FBI says it could be criminal
[0:14] and that is the way it is now looking
[0:16] into the explosion [music] of TWWA
[0:17] Flight 800.
[0:20] Also, security is certainly tight in
[0:22] Atlanta where the president is set off
[0:24] to to kick the off the party of the
[0:26] century.
[0:28] [music]
[0:33] Hello and welcome to Early Prime. I'm
[0:35] Joey Chen. Lou Waters is on assignment.
[0:37] Natalie Allen is off this evening. In
[0:40] the news today, crime, terrorism, or
[0:42] accident? That is the question in the
[0:43] waters off Long Island today as a search
[0:46] continues for the cause of the blast
[0:47] that brought down a jumbo jet. For the
[0:49] record, the FBI still insists there is
[0:51] no hard evidence of terrorism, but it is
[0:53] investigating as if the crash were a
[0:56] criminal act. Investigators tell CNN
[0:58] there are no signs of a catastrophic
[1:00] mechanical breakdown either. The
[1:02] allimportant search for bodies and clues
[1:04] is being held up today by high winds,
[1:06] low clouds, and rain. Navy divers didn't
[1:09] even get in the water today, although
[1:11] state and local divers did. A side
[1:14] controversy has arisen in the tragedy's
[1:16] aftermath. Just how forthcoming were
[1:18] airline officials with a passenger list
[1:20] and with their efforts to compile one?
[1:22] Earlier today, for the second day
[1:24] running, New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani
[1:26] said the answer is not very.
[1:29] I'd ask you to go back to the tape and
[1:30] listen to the paid representative of
[1:32] TWWA say that
