[0:16] You are watching CBS News continuing
[0:19] coverage of Showdown in the Gulf. From
[0:21] CBS News headquarters in New York, here
[0:23] are Paula and Harry Smith.
[0:26] >> And good morning, everybody.
[0:27] >> Let's h get right down to the headlines.
[0:29] Here are the headlines at this hour.
[0:30] Allied troops and leaders prepare for
[0:33] the war on the ground. Saudi Arabia says
[0:36] it will not be drawn into a war against
[0:39] Israel. And the Soviets say they have a
[0:41] plan to end the fighting. The US

[1:25] the war. A member of the crew talked
[1:27] about that night with Dan Rabbit.

[1:35] one click one kilometer away from it is
[1:37] a is a military airfield and the
[1:39] military defense which was hit three
[1:41] times is just uh about half a kilometer
[1:44] away. So the precision bombing or
[1:46] precision missing was absolutely
