[0:00] I think the number one lesson is you
[0:03] shouldn't work on any problems that
[0:05] aren't going to be problems in the short
[0:08] to medium term there are problems in
[0:09] your product that might get solved by
[0:13] the next model drop and then there are
[0:14] other problems that are always going to
[0:16] be a problem you know things that are
[0:17] always going to be worthwhile no matter
[0:18] how smart the models get and I think
[0:21] that the easiest mistake to make is to
[0:23] focus on the thing that users are
[0:25] screaming about but that the next
[0:27] version of the LMS will we'll just do
[0:29] for you now I think as a product person
[0:31] is like you talk to your users and they
[0:32] complain about something like hey I
[0:34] can't use granola for meetings that are
[0:35] over 30 minutes right and like
[0:37] everything inside of you saying that's
[0:39] ridiculous grola should work for
[0:40] meetings that are more than 30 minutes
[0:42] this has got to be our number one
[0:43] priority but something that seems like
[0:44] it's really simple all of a sudden to do
[0:46] well does take a bunch of time and then
[0:49] like all that time would have been
[0:52] wasted because the next version of of
[0:53] the model had a large context window we
[0:55] could just stick the whole meeting in
[0:56] there and and I think this is something
[0:57] that's like it's just so easy to get
[1:00] this wrong also because it's hard to
[1:02] predict the future right which should
[1:03] you be building and investing in now so
[1:06] that you know 12 months from now when
[1:07] LMS can do that at a reasonable cost
[1:09] Point your your product will be
[1:11] fantastic all right well welcome
[1:13] everyone my guest today is Chris pedi
