[0:11] I am Aptiva from IBM. See and hear me at
[0:14] RadioShack.
[0:20] The people of Israel have known much
[0:22] tragedy.
[0:24] Over and over again, they have sent
[0:27] their sons and daughters off to war.
[0:29] Even when there was no war, they have
[0:31] known the shock in the middle of an
[0:33] ordinary day of a bomb blast or of a
[0:35] machine gun opening fire.
[0:38] But one thing they have never known, not
[0:40] until last night. Terrence Smith reports
[0:43] this morning's cover story.
[0:54] >> It was a jubilant rally. 100,000 people
[0:57] in Tel Aviv Central Square in
[1:00] celebration of peace.

[1:42] don't think I was never able to think
[1:44] that something like this would come to
[1:45] Israel
[1:46] >> hopefully today.
[1:47] >> But yet Rabbin had thought about it and
[1:50] warned the world as recently as 6 weeks
[1:52] ago when he was at the White House to
[1:55] celebrate a new agreement with the
[1:56] Palestinians.
[1:58] If all the partners to the peacemaking
[2:02] do not unite against the evil angels of
[2:07] death by terrorism,
[2:10] all that will remain of this ceremony
[2:15] are color snapshots,
[2:17] empty momentous
[2:20] rivers of hatred will overflow again and
[2:25] swamp the Middle E
