[0:01] From ABC News, World News Sunday, here's

[0:06] Forest Sawyer.

[0:07] >> Good evening. Just two days left before

[0:09] the nation's first presidential primary

[0:11] in New Hampshire. No one would have

[0:13] predicted a year ago that both Democrats

[0:15] and Republicans would be running heated

[0:17] campaigns. Pat Buchanan is predicting an

[0:20] embarrassment for President Bush, who

[0:22] has accused the Buchanan campaign of

[0:24] outright lies. And Compton is watching

[0:27] the Republican race.

[0:29] George Bush bluntly told New Hampshire

[0:31] voters today this is no time to cast a

[0:34] protest vote and he did it without ever

[0:36] letting the name Pat Buchanan pass his

[0:38] lips. But one Republican voter

[0:40] confronted the president saying he likes

[0:44] the economy.

[0:45] >> Buchanan is coming across with this and

[0:54] sleeves rolled up and trying to support

[0:55] the president in getting it done. And

[0:58] that's my point to the voters of New

[0:59] Hampshire.

[1:00] >> In a jab apparently aimed at Buchanan's

[1:02] career as a television pundit, Mr. Bush

[1:05] said this is not an election for the man

[1:07] with the quickest wit.

[1:08] >> There are a lot of people out there a

[1:09] lot more charismatic than I am. But a

[1:12] lot of them aren't make don't have to

[1:13] make the tough decisions either. Heck,

[1:15] if that were the case, Phil Donahghue

[1:17] might be president of the United States.

[1:18] >> It is Buchanan's ad campaign, not his

[1:21] wit, that has angered
