[0:06] >> Welcome to World News. Tonight, the
[0:08] government takes quick action and
[0:10] proposes a plan to rescue the entire
[0:13] American financial system. This is a
[0:15] pivotal moment for America's economy.
[0:18] Two questions. How much will it cost the
[0:20] taxpayer? And is it the right thing to
[0:22] do? It's a steal. An epidemic of wire
[0:26] and metal theft is sweeping the country.
[0:28] Even manhole covers are worth their
[0:29] weight in gold. Genetic test. The
[0:32] co-founder of Google learns he's

[1:12] government is moving to jumpstart an
[1:14] economy which has spiraled down quickly.
[1:17] The price tag of what the administration
[1:19] is proposing will run into the hundreds
[1:21] of billions of dollars. But Wall Street,
[1:23] which had its share of ups and downs
[1:25] this week, gave a thumbs up. The Dow
[1:27] gained nearly 370 points and all but
[1:29] erased the huge losses earlier in the
[1:31] week. Betsy Stark is here again tonight
[1:33] with some details. Betsy
[1:35] >> Charlie call it a vote of approval rally
[1:37] on Wall Street today. Investors were
[1:39] clearly relieved by the government's
[1:41] actions. But
