[1:05] Mason.
[1:07] America is a nation in mourning tonight
[1:09] for victims of the deadliest mass
[1:11] shooting in modern US history. Good
[1:14] evening. It happened late last night
[1:16] just behind me. That is the 43-story
[1:18] Mandalay Bay Hotel and Casino. Las Vegas
[1:22] police say a heavily armed gunman broke
[1:24] windows on the 32nd floor and fired down
[1:28] on thousands of people attending an
[1:30] open-air concert. Many fled down this
[1:34] street that's right behind me here.
[1:35] There is still crime scene tape up. You
[1:38] can see bloody footprints on the
[1:40] sidewalk and the clothes they left
[1:43] behind as they literally ran for their
[1:45] lives. At least 59 people were killed,
[1:48] more than 500 injured, most of them by
[1:51] the gunfire. Police say the gunman,
[1:53] 64-year-old Stephen Paddock of Mesquite,
[1:56] Nevada, killed himself before they
[1:59] arrived. They have not determined a
[2:01] motive, but they say they have fo
