[0:00] one more night on Hainan Island uh
[0:03] before they uh get on a plane to bring
[0:05] them back to Guam uh where the plane
[0:07] will either refuel or they'll switch
[0:09] planes to a military transport aircraft
[0:12] and fly to Hawaii which is the
[0:14] headquarters of the Pacific Command. If
[0:16] you do the arithmetic for all those
[0:18] flight times that works out to arriving
[0:21] in Hawaii back in the United States of
[0:24] America about this time tomorrow. All
[0:26] right, David Martin at the Pentagon.
[0:27] Thanks very much. Let's go back to the
[0:28] White House where Bill Plant is standing

[0:32] the president a moment ago for the first

[0:57] that we are very sorry for the loss of
[0:59] the pilot's life and very sorry that the
[1:02] plane landed on Chinese territory
[1:04] without permission. You'll notice that
[1:06] the president was somewhat measured and
[1:08] took no questions. I think they want to
[1:10] be certain that there is no further
[1:11] hitch in this deal and that the crew
[1:13] does get off the island sometime today.
[1:16] Right. Bill, the president expressing
[1:18] sorrow. Are you led to believe that was
[1:19] part of the deal? It's not clear, but it
[1:22] may very well have been, or it m
