[0:00] Claude Mythos is finally here. Well,

[0:03] sort of. What most of us are actually

[0:05] going to be getting today is Claude

[0:06] Fable 5. Although, Anthropic is

[0:09] releasing Claude Mythos 5 again for a

[0:12] small subset of users. Now, if that's a

[0:14] little confusing, let me explain. So,

[0:16] Claude Fable 5 is a Mythos class model

[0:19] that is now available for general use.

[0:21] So, just like we have the Sonnet set of

[0:23] models and the Opus set, we now have the

[0:25] Mythos class and underneath that

[0:27] umbrella is Claude Fable 5. This is

[0:29] available right now. Fable 5 is the best

[0:31] model they have ever released. This is

[0:34] better than what we've seen with Opus

[0:35] 4.8. But, how does it compare to Mythos?

[0:38] Well, essentially, Fable 5 is Mythos

[0:41] with significant guardrails. And that's

[0:44] coming from the idea that Mythos is so

[0:47] powerful that if they gave it to us

[0:49] without these guardrails, there would be

[0:50] some significant cybersecurity risks.

[0:52] And so, what they have done instead is

[0:54] they have launched the model with

[0:55] safeguards. That means queries on some

[0:56] topics, hint things related to

[0:58] cybersecurity, will instead receive a

[1:01] response from our next most capable

[1:02] model, Claude Opus 4.8. So, if they

[1:06] think Fable 5 can handle it and it's not

[1:08] going to be a risk, it's going to go to

[1:10] the Mythos class. If they think this is

[1:12] kind of in a gray area, you're going to

[1:13] get pushed to Claude Opus 4.8. As for

[1:15] how often that happens, well, they say

[1:16] it happens in less than 5% of sessions.

[1:19] So, depending on the sort of domain

[1:20] you're using, you might not run into

[1:21] this issue at all.
