[0:00] in the air. He's the bear.
[0:03] >> Ma'am, will you please get in the house?
[0:05] >> Who wandered too far from the woods and
[0:08] cameras roll as daredevils get wet.
[0:11] >> Whatever you do, don't blink. It's time
[0:14] for real TV.
[0:23] Hi everyone, I'm John Daly back with
[0:25] more great tapes and the stories behind
[0:26] them. We begin with a simple law of
[0:28] physics. Two objects cannot occupy the
[0:31] same place at the same time, but they
[0:33] tried to defy that law at a raceourse
[0:35] recently. Take a look.
[0:39] Welcome to the Elco Speedway in
[0:40] southeastern Minnesota. You can see the
[0:42] cars speeding around the track.
[0:45] Keep your eyes peeled because you're
[0:48] about to see a major accident.
[0:53] It starts as your typical race. A camera
[0:55] captures all the action on tape. Keep
[0:58] your eye on the black car highlighted
[1:00] here, number 17.
[1:03] Now watch in slow motion as the car
[1:05] takes the curve. It taps the front
[1:07] fender of the red car next to it. The
[1:10] red car loses control and flips up on
[1:12] its side.
[1:18] Now take a look at the second camera
[1:20] angle. When the car gets pinned against
[1:22] the wall, sparks fly everywhere.
[1:29] Dozens of spectators in the front row
[1:31] run away to escape the flying embers.
[1:34] It takes a while for the cars to slow
[1:36] down. The red car slides along the wall
[1:39] right past this camera until it finally
[1:41] stops.
[1:44] That's when rescue crews rush in. You
[1:46] all right?
[1:50] >> You all right?
[1:53] >> The driver of car number 17 pulls
[1:55] himself out of the window and climbs on
[1:57] top of the roof.
[2:01] >> Immediately, he sticks his head into the
[2:02] window of the red car to check on the
[2:04] driver.
[2:06] >> Precious moment
