[0:01] export the highlights that you've made
[0:03] in your eBook to a digital notes app and
[0:06] the reason we want to do this is as long
[0:08] as those highlights have stuck in your
[0:10] e-reader they're not much used to you
[0:12] you can't edit them you can't annotate
[0:14] them you can't further summarize them
[0:16] really they're just kind of stuck there
[0:18] so before we go on to the next steps we
[0:22] need to extract or export all of your
[0:24] highlights which you can do all at once
[0:26] to one document in your Notes app or
[0:29] really anywhere else that you want to
[0:30] keep them so let's take a look at what
[0:32] this looks like
[0:33] I recommend waiting until you're
[0:35] finished with the whole book that way
[0:38] you're not going back and forth between
[0:39] different apps just read the book from
[0:41] beginning to end and then you can do
[0:43] this export process in one step
[0:46] now there's two options there's the free
[0:48] option and then there's the paid option
[0:50] as usual the free option requires a
[0:53] couple extra steps while the paid option
[0:56] is a little bit easier but you can
[0:58] really use either one so let me show you
