[0:33] Great days are here again. These members
[0:35] of the Pressman's Union were upbeat as
[0:37] they walked in to cast their votes at
[0:39] this Union Hall in downtown Pittsburgh.
[0:42] A few hours earlier, the paper handlers
[0:44] met in the same building and voted
[0:46] unanimously to accept the agreement with
[0:48] the Post-Gazette. John Murillo, the
[0:50] paper handlers secretary-treasurer, says
[0:53] as important as the strike has been to
[0:55] them, the workers are eager to put it
[0:57] behind them. It's enough and I think
[0:59] everybody's about had it and we want to
[1:01] get back to work.
[1:03] But we're still not laying over and
[1:04] playing dead.
[1:05] We're still going to go back to work
[1:06] with our dignity.
[1:08] Teamsters Local 211 was the largest of
[1:10] the newspaper unions to vote. They held
[1:12] their balloting in Lawrenceville. And
[1:14] while union members may be anxious to
[1:16] see those big yellow delivery trucks
[1:18] rolling again, what about the readers?
[1:21] Many, like Lorraine Green, have been
[1:23] getting their printed news from one of
[1:25] the expanded suburban papers. She says
[1:27] they're okay, but they do not add
