[0:32] Carvey provided the punchlines on

[0:33] Saturday Night Live, but a dispute with

[0:35] his landlord is no laughing matter. His

[0:38] legal brief is a renters's beef.

[0:42] After Dana Carvey signed off from

[0:43] Saturday Night Live, he headed off to

[0:45] Malibu and coughed up 14 grand a month

[0:48] for a posh seaside pad. But when Dana

[0:50] moved out, he claims his landlord

[0:52] overlooked a little something. Dana's

[0:54] $28,000 security deposit. The man who

[0:57] played the church lady called homeowner

[0:59] Wi Alamar into arbitration and won a

[1:02] $36,000 award.

[1:06] That money not only covered part of the

[1:08] deposit, it also made up for damages and

[1:11] attorneys fees.

[1:13] Now Dana has filed a lawsuit in civil

[1:15] court to try to recoup his cash. Now

[1:18] isn't that special?

[1:22] In case you're wondering where Dana

[1:23] Carvey is these days, he's been taking a

[1:25] lengthy hiatus after undergoing heart

[1:27] surgery back in 1997. Hopefully, he'll

[1:31] be back on the screen before long in a

[1:32] project he's writing for himself. Susan,
