[0:01] somebody else has been around looking at
[0:03] all these storms for so long as Dr Neil
[0:06] Frank at the National Hurricane Center
[0:07] thank you for joining us this evening Dr
[0:10] Frank
[0:12] the uh I'm having trouble hearing you uh
[0:16] let me let me just ask you a couple of
[0:17] questions uh the way this uh particular
[0:20] depression came up what we used to call
[0:22] the alley yeah did you have any metal
[0:25] problems with what it was going to do as
[0:28] it moved along the North Shore oh
[0:34] emerge from African eventually move up
[0:36] the islands now if the center emerges on
[0:39] the north side of the islands then it
[0:40] becomes a major problem for us if the
[0:42] center stays over the islands then it
[0:44] does like this one's doing and right now
[0:46] at least the center has gone right down
[0:48] the heart of Cuba and I think that has
[0:50] prohibited some strengthening and for
[0:52] that we're very thankful here in
[0:53] southeast Florida right now as it moves
[0:55] right out of Cuba in into the southeast
[0:58] Gulf of Mexico with the warm water and
[1:00] what have you do you think it's going to
[1:02] strengthen any oh man that's our primary
[1:04] concern right now it looks like the
[1:06] center should go on offshore and into
[1:08] the Southeastern Gulf of Mexico where
[1:10] the waters are quite warm and we could
[1:12] see some rather serious strengthening
[1:14] yet tonight and tomorrow and it's
[1:17] possible that we could have a hurricane
[1:18] at this time tomorrow right but as it
[1:20] now stands and on its present track in
[1:23] the forecast track as I understand it
[1:25] probably here in Miami what will we wind
[1:27] up with just maybe a few squalls or
[1:30] showers or thunders
