[0:01] This is the CBS Evening News
[0:09] and this is Bob Schaefer reporting. Good
[0:11] evening. A major development on the
[0:13] Bosnian situation tonight. After months
[0:15] of disagreement, the United States and
[0:17] its European allies agreed on a unified
[0:19] strategy aimed at ending the killing in
[0:22] the strife torn area. And it is a plan
[0:24] that includes the possible use of US war

[1:06] >> The plan establishes border monitors to
[1:08] be sure the Serbs keep their word and
[1:10] don't resupply the Bosnian Serbs
[1:12] militarily. It pledges to keep tough
[1:15] economic sanctions in place until a
[1:17] political solution is reached. And in a
[1:20] move the US once opposed, it sets up
[1:22] safe havens for civilians protected by
[1:25] UN troops with for the first time
[1:27] American air power to protect them.
[1:30] >> The United States is prepared to meet
[1:32] its commitment to help protect United
[1:35] Nations forces in the
