[0:20] They've also executed a search warrant
[0:21] for a car that was found in the family's
[0:23] yard. Right now, about 100 people are
[0:25] helping with the effort. Live in

[0:28] news. To help in the search for Sophia
[0:30] Warz, Kenowick police issued an Amber
[0:33] Alert today. It is the first time that
[0:34] alert has been used in Washington or
[0:36] Oregon since it was voted in three
[0:38] months ago. But was it used correctly?

[0:48] the nerve center of Fox 12. And when
[0:51] Washington issued that Amber Alert
[0:53] today, they sent it right here to our
[0:55] emergency alert system. And that's when
[0:57] our master control operator, Phil,
[0:59] punched it up and sent it to your
[1:01] television set. But Clark County
[1:04] authorities say the case of this missing
[1:06] child may not warrant an Amber Alert
[1:09] quite yet.
[1:11] It is the unmistakable sound of an
[1:14] emergency. And for the very first time
[1:16] in the Northwest, it's the sound of an
[1:18] Amber Alert signaling that 5-year-old
[1:21] Sophia Wararez is missing.
[1:24] Several Portlanders say they heard the
[1:26] alert and they paid close attention.
