[0:05] The United States Air Force, the United
[0:08] States Army big time are participating
[0:11] now in what must be one of the most
[0:13] massive airlifts in the in peace time in
[0:16] the country's history. There has been a
[0:18] non-stop flow of choppers, gigantic
[0:20] choppers coming in. They are removing
[0:22] the people here at the rate of what must
[0:24] be about a hundred every 10 minutes.
[0:27] They they first they triage them here.
[0:29] Clint, show the line of people here and
[0:31] we'll wait for the the there are
[0:33] literally I would say a couple of
[0:36] thousand Katherine have been evacuated
[0:38] already today. The operation started at
[0:41] 6:30 in the morning. first huge semi
[0:44] trucks came with vitally needed food,
[0:48] water, and other supplies. That took the
[0:50] edge off this crowd that had been
[0:52] suffering incredible agony here in the
[0:56] uh New Orleans Convention Center uh
[0:59] since the floods wiped out their homes,
[1:02] inundated their entire neighborhoods. Uh
[1:04] they were here, they were restive, there
[1:07] was violence here. Uh they there was 12
[1:09] dead bodies inside. We saw a dead body
[1:12] not more than 200 yds from where we're
[1:14] standing. A guy shot in the head.
[1:16] Another man killed after he allegedly
[1:18] attempted to rape a 13-year-old by a
[1:20] vigilante crowd. This typical of one of
[1:23] the big choppers coming in. One of the
[1:25] big sea stallions. That one from the
[1:26] United States Navy. Those big babies can
[1:29] hold up to 40 of these refugees.
[1:32] Catherine, it is unbelievable what we
[1:34] are seeing. This reminds me of the the
[1:38] one of the giant operations over in Iraq
[1:40] or Afghanistan, the military. This one
[1:43] coming
