[18:10] these few verses here that could really

[18:12] be a help to

[18:16] life how many of you got a lot going

[18:19] on got a lot going on in your life a lot

[18:23] of things

[18:24] happening a lot of things can happen in

[18:27] our life and there can be a lot of

[18:29] Demands on life and sometimes that can

[18:33] overwhelm

[18:35] people sometimes that can stress out

[18:39] people sometimes that can cause short

[18:41] fused people get angry very

[18:46] easily and here in these

[18:49] verses we see the Lord Jesus Christ

[18:52] being

[18:53] busy in

[18:55] Ministry he's been in capernium casting

[18:58] out

[18:59] Devils he's been to Simon's

[19:02] mother-in-law and healed her of a fever

[19:05] he's been casting out demons he's healed

[19:09] many and he gets to the night time and

[19:12] guess what Jesus did he went to

[19:14] sleep because you got to sleep the old

[19:17] saying is you can't burn a candle at

[19:20] both ends it'll eventually run out well

[19:24] here Jesus goes to

[19:27] sleep say well how do you know that

[19:29] because verse 35 says and in the

[19:32] morning and in the morning he what

[19:35] rising up a great while so he got up

[19:38] early in the

[19:39] morning so Jesus rises up early in the

[19:43] morning a great while before

[19:46] day he went out and departed into a

[20:09] one tonight it is okay to be alone at

[21:17] crowd and kept giving and giving and

[21:27] ministering and ministering but you know

[21:29] what Jesus in his human form did he got

[21:32] away from

[21:34] everybody he got alone in a solitary

[21:38] place so number one tonight in a god

[21:40] ordered life versus manord life it's

[21:42] okay to be alone a man ordered life the

[21:44] opposite of that is you got to give into

[21:46] the crowd if people want you you need to

[21:48] be

[21:49] there if there's a desire for you to be

[21:53] there you need to be there got to be at

[21:56] work all the time you got to work

[21:57] overtime all the time you got to do this

[21:59] you got to do that you got to give into

[22:01] the crowd that's a man- ordered life

[22:04] because people will drain

[22:06] you people will want everything you've

[22:10] got unfortunately many

[22:13] times people look at other people as a

[22:17] commodity instead of as a person in

[22:21] other words what can you do for me what

[22:23] benefit can I get from you and then when

[22:26] I've used you all up I don't need you

[22:28] anymore in my life we're not careful we

[22:32] can look at people and treat people as a

[22:35] resource instead of as a individual

[22:39] person so in a god of Life Jesus

[22:42] illustrates he needed to get away and

[22:45] this isn't the only text we could look

[22:47] at other ones tonight where he got away

[22:48] from everybody else when he went alone

[22:51] when he got away he didn't have to be in

[22:53] the crowd all the time he got

[24:05] yellow foam sponge can you see it can

[24:10] sponge if I take the yellow foam sponge

[24:13] and I go out to the bus that was donated

[24:16] I want to wash the side of the bus with

[24:17] the foam sponge and I take that sponge

[24:20] and I rub it against the bus you know

[24:23] what's going to happen not a whole

[24:25] lot but if I take that sponge and I dump

[24:29] dunk it into a bucket with water and

[24:32] soap and then rub it up against that bus

[24:36] something can

[24:37] happen because there's something in it

[24:40] that can come out of

[24:42] it now if I take that sponge and I sit

[24:45] it on the parking lot for a little bit

[24:47] and the sun bakes it and it gets all

[24:50] hard and it gets dried out even though

[24:52] watch this even though before I used it

[24:55] when there was something in it to wash

[24:57] the bus now I can't

[24:59] why because there's nothing left in it

[25:02] it's dried out and just like a sponge

[25:05] you and I need to get alone with God and

[25:07] take in from him so we can give out to

[25:12] others Hey sir it you can't give to your

[25:16] wife the way God intended you to give if

[25:18] you haven't taken it in from the

[25:20] Lord you haven't received it from God

[25:24] you can't pour it out on others

[25:28] you have to have the love of God in you

[25:31] to be lovable to

[25:33] others but if it's not in you it's not

[25:36] coming out of you so just like that

[25:39] sponge gets dunked into that bucket now

[25:41] good news that sponge can sit

[25:45] there youth pastor for nine years we

[25:47] used to do a fundraiser for Camp used to

[25:49] do car washes till some other group

[25:51] messed up the place we got to do car

[25:53] washes we had sponges that we used on

[25:56] the vehicle and then we had sponges and

[25:59] brushes that we used on the

[26:01] tires because Tire sponges ought never

[26:04] be applied to

[26:07] cars because if you're cleaning a tire

[26:10] sometimes things that are in the tire

[26:12] come off and get into the

[26:15] sponge our youth group understood that

[26:17] we had separate buckets we said that's a

[26:20] tire

[26:21] bucket only sponges go in there that go

[26:24] on tires sponges go in other buckets

[26:28] because they go on the

[26:30] cars two weeks later the place that let

[26:33] us do car washes the business that would

[26:35] let a church come provide all the water

[26:38] and would feed our young people while

[26:40] they were there it was a great

[26:44] deal the next group a couple weeks later

[26:47] that

[26:47] came those young ladies

[26:51] decided that what went into any bucket

[26:54] was okay to put on a person's

[26:56] car so they took a SP sponge and put it

[26:59] into the tire bucket and soaked in rocks

[27:03] and gravel that had come out of tires

[27:06] and put it on a person's nice BMW

[27:12] and all down the side of

[27:16] it now it had water in it it had soap in

[27:20] it well there was some other stuff in it

[27:23] and that other stuff had a negative

[27:26] effect on that BMW

[27:30] it would be okay it would

[27:32] be understandable if it was a one-time

[27:35] offense but over and over and over again

[27:39] they did that to multiple Vehicles so

[27:41] the next time that business said uh no

[27:44] we don't do that anymore we had to pay

[27:47] liability insurance because we let this

[27:49] one group and we felt

[27:52] terrible but what's in you will come out

[27:57] and if there's nothing in you nothing

[28:00] can come

[28:01] out but if that sponge sits there and it

[28:04] did we had a whole package of sponge

[28:06] we'd put them in our car wash tote with

[28:08] all our buckets and our sponges and our

[28:11] extra leftover soap and they'd sit there

[28:13] for months and the next time A Car Wash

[28:15] come around I get those things out and

[28:17] those sponges would be hard as a rock

[28:19] you could thump

[28:21] them well you know what would happen if

[28:23] I soaked them in water

[28:24] again right back to

[28:27] usefulness hey you can be a hard crusty

[28:29] Christian cuz you haven't been soaking

[28:32] in the word and soaking in the the time

[28:35] alone with Jesus Christ but God can fill

[28:37] you back up again and make you useful

[28:41] again but the world will cry give give

[28:46] give the world is like a tick and like a

[28:50] leech they want more and more and more

[28:54] from you a leech latches on to something

[28:57] it's a sight and it sucks all the blood

[28:59] it can from that thing that's what the

[29:02] world wants you to do your boss will

[29:05] take everything you will give them every

[29:08] hour every drop of energy everything you

[29:11] will give them they'll take it

[29:13] all if you're not careful you can get so

[29:16] wrapped up and give give give to the

[29:18] boss and make go the boss happy and make

[29:20] the boss like me and make the boss feel

[29:22] that I'm the best employee and forsake

[29:25] your family

[29:28] if you're not careful lose your

[29:32] family because everybody else said give

[29:39] must take in before you can give

[29:41] out if your tank is empty you can't give

[29:50] energy comes in your

[29:54] temperament it affects every area of

[30:17] weren't all men seek for

[32:28] interesting that I don't think many of

[32:29] us practice very

[32:31] often number four tonight Jesus reveals

[32:34] to us in a god order life it is

[32:36] necessary to say

[35:16] please we have nothing to prove just

[35:20] someone to please in a man ordered life

[35:25] I must prove that I am

[35:28] needed a man ordered life must prove

[35:32] that I am needed or that I have value if

[35:39] your value comes from other

[35:42] humans you're getting your value scale

[35:45] from the wrong

[35:47] place our value and our identity comes

[35:51] from God not from other

[35:56] humans also so be careful married folks

[36:00] be careful you don't find your identity

[36:03] in your

[36:04] spouse you find your identity in

[36:08] Christ and your identity in Christ plays

[36:11] out in your

[36:13] marriage too many times people are what

[36:19] they do not who they are so listen to me

[36:24] closely people are many times recognized

[36:29] and identified by what they do not who

[36:34] they are the roles that we play and the

[36:37] jobs that we take on instead of who we

[36:44] are in a god ordered

[36:47] life we must recognize we have nothing

[36:50] to prove just someone to

[36:54] please and that is the Lord Jesus Christ

[36:57] we are to please God and how we live our

[37:03] lives so Jesus illustrates this for us

[37:19] alone some of you don't like being

[37:23] alone it bothers

[37:26] you and one of the reasons it bothers

[37:29] you is because your identity is found in

[37:32] who's around you not who's in

[37:36] you in case you missed it I'll say it

[37:38] again you struggle being alone because

[37:41] your identity is found in who's around

[37:43] you not who is in

[37:47] you another reason people struggle to be

[37:50] alone is they don't filter their

[37:52] mind and when they're alone their

[37:55] thoughts

[37:56] run and runs to places it ought not to

[38:00] run we're to bring into captivity our

[38:04] thoughts don't let your mind wander

[38:06] don't let it run around wherever it

[38:08] wants to run around you'll end up in

[38:10] places you ought not to

[38:12] be it's okay to be alone you don't have

[38:16] to be in the crowd all the
