[0:00] I just can't believe, by the way, that
[0:01] I'm sitting here watching an artificial
[0:03] intelligence write what would have taken
[0:05] me many, many hours of focus writing to
[0:07] do. Look at
[0:08] [Music]
[0:10] it. We live in the future,
[0:13] [Music]
[0:17] folks. If you're new here, hi. My name
[0:20] is Thiago Forte and I'm the author of
[0:22] Building a Second Brain, which is all
[0:25] about how to maximize the value you get
[0:27] from all the content and information you
[0:30] consume every day. In this video, I'll
[0:31] share what I've learned about how to
[0:33] effectively use Chat GPT to summarize
[0:36] books. Then, I'll take you step by step
[0:38] through a real example of creating a
[0:40] book summary so you can do it yourself.
[0:46] I used to read 50 books a year, speeding
[0:49] through them like my life depended on it

[0:54] sticking. I'm reading thousands of words
[0:57] every month, but it's just passing in
[0:59] one ear and out the other. I don't know
[1:01] about you, but I want my reading to
[1:03] actually make a difference in my life.
[1:05] So, a few years ago, I decided to start
[1:08] reading far fewer books and to summarize
[1:10] them in my own words. So that knowledge
[1:13] really sunk in. These summaries are like
[1:16] building blocks that I've been able to
[1:18] incorporate into my work or share with
[1:21] others to their benefit. Instead of this
[1:23] vague feeling that I'm forgetting
[1:25] everything I learn, I can see this
[1:27] tangible collection of book summaries as
[1:30] proof of what I've
[1:32] learned. Writi
