[0:04] Victims of Hurricane Andrew say they
[0:06] still are not receiving federal
[0:08] emergency relief checks.
[0:10] And the presidential race is on at full
[0:12] throttle as politics takes no holiday.
[0:17] This is the CBS Evening News.
[0:25] Good evening. I'm Connie Chung. It's
[0:27] been 2 weeks since Hurricane Andrew hit
[0:29] South Florida and victims there tonight
[0:31] say they still have not received

[1:12] soldiers this morning for the first
[1:13] church service in their new home.
[1:15] >> We continue to lift up the people of
[1:17] Homestead, Florida City, and all areas
[1:19] that have been affected.
[1:21] >> The military has scored big points for
[1:23] its massive and growing response to the
[1:25] disaster. Not so for all federal aid
[1:28] programs. Victims who applied for
[1:30] emergency cash grants from the Federal
[1:32] Emergency Management Agency or FEMA
[1:35] complained of being put on
