[0:28] Richard Roth is in in in Islamabad
[0:31] Pakistan keeping in mind that that's the
[0:33] capital of Pakistan now and we bring up
[0:36] Richard Roth
[0:38] Richard Dan what what we've heard here
[0:41] so far is something I guess that might
[0:42] have been expected and that is some
[0:44] angry rhetoric from some of the groups
[0:46] that have been opposed to the
[0:47] cooperation of the Pakistani government
[0:49] here and opposed rather strongly to any
[0:52] American attack in Afghanistan one prot
[0:55] Taliban Islamic group said tonight that
[0:57] it called the uh the attacks in
[0:59] Afghanistan a brutal attack on innocent
[1:01] people it said that America's used its
[1:03] might against innocent people instead of
[1:05] against terrorist training camps now the
[1:08] rhetoric here was fully expected what
[1:10] the government is concerned about of
[1:11] course is that it's going to incite
[1:13] people in the kinds of uh demonstrations
[1:15] that have been taking place for several
[1:17] weeks on the streets here and the uh
[1:19] government here in Islamabad did
[1:20] something about that today they detained
[1:23] one of the leading Islamic clerics who's
[1:25] been calling for a holy war if America
[1:28] does uh did stage a mil military strike
[1:30] in Afghanistan uh the the government
[1:33] says that it can control the
[1:34] demonstrations and it does believe that
[1:36] they are a silent or they are a small
[1:38] minority of uh Pakistan's population but
[1:41] clearly officials here have said that
[1:43] they want any action in Afghanistan to
[1:46] be what what one official called
[1:48] decisive and quick they're concerned
[1:50] that the longer it goes on The More The
[1:52] Descent here will grow Dan Richard Roth
