[0:00] Hey everyone, I'm back again with
[0:02] another video and today I want to give
[0:04] you the straight talk on whether AI
[0:06] browsers are actually useful or totally
[0:09] overhyped. I'm going to test three of
[0:11] the most popular AI browsers, Open AI,
[0:14] Atlas, Perplexity, Comet, and DIA across
[0:17] six practical use cases, including
[0:19] researching topics, summarizing
[0:21] information across tabs, managing
[0:23] emails, and even more agentic abilities.
[0:27] Okay, but first let me give a quick
[0:29] overview of AI browsers. Basically, they
[0:31] embed an AI assistant in your browsing
[0:34] experience. And this assistant can see
[0:36] what you see in your open browser tabs
[0:39] and it can even take action for you like
[0:41] navigate websites, click buttons, and
[0:43] fill forms. So, here's a quick
[0:45] comparison of the top three AI browsers.
[0:48] Let's start with OpenAI Atlas. So,
[0:50] OpenAI Atlas is basically a wrapper
[0:52] around Chat GPT. You can use chat GBD
[0:54] from the URL window, sidebar, and so on.
[0:57] And if you pay chat GPT $20 a month, it
[1:00] can also take actions for you using
[1:03] agent mode. So overall, you know, OpenAI
[1:06] Atlas feels like a NVP. There are no
[1:10] custom workflows. It doesn't have voice
[1:12] mode quite yet, and there's no kind of
[1:14] direct API integrations. All right, the
[1:17] next one is probably my favorite AI
[1:18] browser for a few reasons. Perplexity
[1:21] Comet. The number one reason is that
[1:23] when you search using Perplexity, it
[1:25] just generates results much faster than
[1:27] Chat GPT. It is also the only AI browser
[1:30] that has direct API integrations with
[1:33] Gmail and calendar. And it has bonus
[1:35] features like tab o
