[7:20] chapter 61 chapter 91 and then chapter

[7:24] 121 and so I was has been amazing I'm

[7:28] reading just five Psalms a today but

[7:30] it's amazing when you're going through

[7:32] that because you come through different

[7:34] seasons of some of the writers lives and

[7:38] it's just been a blessing to me so I've

[7:40] enjoyed that in my Bible reading this

[7:42] month but we're going to take a couple

[7:44] testimonies at this time but it's a

[7:47] little bit different than normal because

[7:49] you got to keep you on your toes and so

[7:52] passages of scripture that have been a

[7:54] blessing to your life over this month or

[7:56] the last month we'll go back two months

[7:58] passages scripture in your Bible reading

[8:01] or or special verses that are special to

[8:04] you that you've looked at or that you

[8:06] memorized or something like that so

[8:08] blessings passages uh scripture reading

[8:11] things that God's been teaching you

[8:12] through the word and so we're going to

[8:13] take a few of those testimonies and

[8:15] we'll have a second round of testimonies

[8:17] uh after that so anybody got one of

[11:27] do that work right but yet

[11:29] fulfilled that work right but yet did

[11:32] not have the desire either and so yet a

[11:36] challenge as we are in our generation of

[11:40] making sure that we do have the desire

[11:41] of those that went on before us amen yet

[11:44] also carrying out the things that maybe

[11:47] they weren't able to right or maybe they

[11:49] had a desire for a vision for but it

[11:51] wasn't possible yet or maybe not God's

[11:53] timing but yet also so it's a challenge

[11:57] and uh for us but also as a warning as

[12:00] well to train up the generation that's

[12:02] coming after us so that way they do see

[12:05] that desire they get that desire but yet

[12:08] they'll fulfill things that maybe we

[12:10] only have a vision or desire for yeah

[12:12] and so it's kind of too full there but

[12:15] definitely bless your heart just to know

[12:17] that your work from the time that I

[12:19] start working for the Lord to the time

[12:21] that he calls me home is not in vain

[12:23] either but yet to share thisen to not

[12:27] just my generation and have my hands

[12:29] working in the work the work of the Lord

[12:31] but to pass that visionen that desire

[12:34] for the Lord in a relationship with him

[13:25] old to learn just because we get to be

[13:27] 60 and 70 and 80 we're children we're

[13:30] children to God and we never learn what

[13:32] we need to learn we're hard-headed

[13:33] because we're human yeah I mean the

[13:35] Israelites wandered for years and years

[13:36] and years and look what they did I mean

[13:38] God delivered them from Egypt we're just

[13:40] on the earth that God created but you

[13:42] know pray for us because I feel like

[13:45] that I have been in evangelism I've

[13:46] learned so much I was a pastor's wife

[13:48] here I learned so much but I'm still

[13:50] learning I've learned so much this last

[13:52] year I've been in garet I've been

[13:53] knocked down and I feel like beat up a

[13:55] couple times from God because I am still

[13:58] learning amen so God's good though he

[14:00] shows us where we messed up I we're

[14:02] helping a whole new generation of people

[14:04] there that are on age and I think man I

[14:06] got to shape up or ship out you know

[14:09] because I can be crazy as you know I

[14:11] like to have a good time but I can't be

[14:13] my crazy self every day of the week I

[14:14] have to kind of act like I know what I'm

[14:16] doing yeah so you know God helps me but

[14:20] real quickly I just want to say I'm

[14:21] thankful for you brother Adam because

[14:23] God uses you here and I got stepped on

[14:25] Wednesday night by your message again

[14:27] because we don't pray enough that's been

[14:29] on my heart there are people dying I

[14:32] have relatives that are dying and going

[14:33] to hell and I don't pray for them like I

[14:36] should yeah so pray for me that my

[14:38] prayer life can improve this year amen

[15:07] the men rose up from then and looked

[15:08] toward Sodom and Abraham went with them

[15:10] to bring them on the way and the Lord

[15:13] said shall I hide from Abraham that

[15:14] thing which I do seeing that Abraham

[15:16] shall surely become a great and mighty

[15:18] nation and all the nations of the Earth

[15:20] shall be blessed in him for I know him

[15:22] that he will command his children and

[15:24] his household after him and they shall

[15:26] keep the way of the Lord to do justice

[15:28] and judgement that the Lord may bring

[15:30] upon Abraham that which he hath spoken

[15:32] of him and it just really stuck out to

[15:35] me because I think it's an amazing

[15:38] testimony that God can just look down

[15:40] look down at Abraham and said I know him

[15:43] and I know what he'll do and it was just

[15:47] convicting to think does God look down

[15:50] at something that I say and say I know

[15:55] right thing and I feel like that was

[15:56] just a really convicting thing of

[15:59] because it he told Abraham because he

[16:02] knew what Abraham was doing and he could

[16:04] trust him and I kind of brought it as a

[16:08] I don't know if I really elaborated on

[16:10] in in it as much as I felt it um when I

[16:14] taught it in Sunday school but it was

[16:16] really convicting to me of can God trust

[16:19] my behavior or does God know that I will

[16:21] be faithful yeah and I feel like it's

[16:24] something we kind of have to daily to

[16:27] decide daily but it spoke to my heart

[16:28] heard a lot amen praise the lord it's

[16:31] good when God works on Sunday school

[16:34] teachers amen that that caution you

[16:38] become a Sunday school teacher and

[16:39] you're reading your Bible you're

[16:40] studying to teach other people and God

[16:42] will teach

[16:47] work we go to the altar of God speaking

[16:53] the students that he's called us to

[20:59] last few weeks and so thankful for that

[21:02] and so we'll take a couple of those

[21:03] today and then right after that the

[21:05] windborn family is going to come and

[21:06] sing a special and we'll get into the

[21:08] message right after that so anyone else

[21:10] have a testimony today how God's been

[21:12] working in your

[21:14] life all the hands go flying

[21:17] up looking around the room well I'm

[21:19] thankful for the Lord working in my life

[21:22] you know every time that you go through

[21:24] seasons of trial and hardship

[21:29] you get to see the Fingerprints of God

[21:32] more he's always there but in the trial

[21:35] and hardship moments you get to see the

[21:37] Fingerprints of God more in your life

[21:39] and so it opens your eyes to see what

[21:42] God's doing in the forming of our lives

[21:45] and It Go opens your eyes to his

[21:47] fingerprints a little bit more so

[21:48] thankful for those moments that I've had

[21:50] in my life for the last few months so

[21:52] anybody else today testimony of what

[21:54] God's doing your life Miss sha back over

[22:06] yeah suffered my whole life with

[22:08] depression

[22:11] and sometimes when I would have those

[22:16] moment last and now that I found God and

[22:22] I had a bout of depression a couple

[22:24] weeks ago and it only lasted a day

[22:29] I was able to let God take it from me

[22:34] and live

[22:39] everything amen praise the lord it's

[22:43] good that's good anyone else Miss Cindy

[22:49] front kind of on that same line you know

[22:52] um the Lord's given me my life first

[22:55] it's Psalms 51:10 it says create in me a

[22:57] clean heart oh God and renew a right

[23:00] Spirit within me and that's a daily

[23:01] struggle it's something no matter how

[23:03] long you've been a Christian um we deal

[23:06] with that yeah and that's just I just

[23:08] love that verse

[23:12] us creating me a clean heart and renew

[23:15] hey that's a good thing if he's renewing

[23:17] it that means you had it at one

[23:20] time and renew it so you know it's kind

[23:27] don't do it you're like you know

[23:30] better he's still working on all of us

[34:17] he tried to flee from the presence of

[34:19] the Lord he thought but he didn't when

[34:22] he said that he feared God but he didn't

[34:24] obey when he found himself in the fish's

[34:27] belly in the process of restoration God

[34:29] was working on in Jonah's life and then

[34:32] when he forgot the Lord but the Lord

[34:35] remembered

[34:36] him we ended in chapter 2 verse 9 and we

[34:40] get to chapter

[34:41] 10 the Lord spake unto the fish and they

[34:43] vomited upon Jonah upon the dry land and

[34:47] the word of the Lord came un Jonah the

[34:49] second time saying arise go to Nineveh

[34:51] that great City he gets the second

[34:53] chance I preached that message the

[34:55] second chance now I want to remind you

[34:57] of something unless we make it of nonone

[35:01] effect or unless we think it this way

[35:04] God is not in the second chance business

[35:07] of unrepentant

[35:10] people God's in the second chance

[35:12] business of repentant people people who

[35:15] recognize God is God I am wrong I repent

[35:20] and God says I'll use that I'll use you

[35:23] again and so Jonah doesn't get the

[35:26] second chance till Jonah repents

[35:28] now remember we mentioned at the end of

[35:29] the message this morning Jonah didn't

[35:31] know there was a chapter 3 Jonah didn't

[35:33] know there was a second chance coming

[35:34] Jonah got right because he knew he

[35:36] needed to get right he didn't know what

[35:39] God had done by the way I want to just

[35:40] point out a couple things this is free

[35:42] this is outline number three that's in

[35:45] Jonah 11:17 it says the Lord

[35:48] prepared In Jonah 4: 6 it said the Lord

[35:51] God prepared a gourd in chapter 4 verse

[35:55] 7 but God prepared a worm

[35:58] and then in chapter 4: 8 it came to pass

[36:01] when the sun did rise that God prepared

[36:03] a vemi East Wind there's four things

[36:06] that God prepared for

[36:08] Jonah God prepared the fish God prepared

[36:10] the gourd God prepared the worm God

[36:12] prepared the

[36:13] wind not to punish Jonah but to get him

[36:16] back to

[36:18] him in other words God's got some

[36:21] preparation things that he's been

[36:23] working on to get you back to

[36:26] him so don't don't keep running God's

[36:29] got something

[36:30] prepared just come back just come back

[36:34] just listen to the voice of God so in

[36:36] verse 10 the Lord spake unto the fish

[36:39] and ited out Jonah upon dry land and the

[36:42] word of the Lord came un Jonah the

[36:43] second time saying rise go into Nineveh

[36:44] that great city cry against so he goes

[36:46] into Nineveh and he begins to

[36:48] preach now some things you got to

[36:50] remember about Nineveh ninev is the

[36:51] capital city of

[36:52] Assyria one of their primary Gods during

[36:55] this time was the god Deon which is

[36:57] known as the fish God there's a teaching

[37:00] amongst the Assyrians that uh the fish

[37:03] God would come out of the sea and would

[37:06] talk to the people and then he' go back

[37:07] into the sea so here's some ninevite

[37:10] fishermen sitting on the shore man comes

[37:12] flying out of the

[37:15] sea lands on the

[37:17] shore goes into town starts

[37:21] preaching in other words watch this God

[37:23] took a rebellious prophet and made a

[37:25] visual illustration

[37:27] God took a rebellious Prophet named

[37:30] Jonah got him to repent and when Jonah

[37:33] came now I don't know about you but when

[37:35] our chapter two when we left off he got

[37:37] seaweed wrapped around his

[37:38] head and chapter two when we were

[37:40] talking about it he was in the midst of

[37:42] the belly with the other stuff and I'm

[37:44] not going into detail because I don't

[37:46] want other stuff on the floor in the

[37:47] auditorium okay but you understand it

[37:50] wasn't pleasant watch this the fish's

[37:53] belly had an effect on Jonah

[37:58] the acid that he was in for three days

[38:00] had an effect on him the stuff in the

[38:03] belly had an effect on

[38:05] him brother Jesse can testify if you go

[38:09] and you take a guy's van to incredible

[38:12] pizza or to some other place and there's

[38:16] middle schoolers Junior highers in there

[38:19] you get back in and there's an aroma in

[38:21] the

[38:24] van it it it begins to plague your

[38:29] nostrils because one their deodorant

[38:32] wore off for two they didn't wear any

[38:34] deodorant in the first

[38:37] place but then something happens they

[38:40] get in the van and some guy says to them

[38:42] they stink and then there's a new Aroma

[38:44] now you have Junior High middle school

[38:46] high school body odor and Axe Cologne

[38:49] and they

[38:50] Collide it's a dangerous

[38:54] combination I've seen young men go to

[38:56] camp with a brand new bottle of Axe

[38:58] Cologne and come home with it

[39:00] empty we're there 5 days I used a whole

[39:05] bottle there was no Axe Cologne there

[39:07] was no F Breeze for

[39:12] Jonah there's a visual illustration in

[39:15] Jonah's life he comes out and it he's

[39:19] different and he goes into the City and

[39:22] he goes goes in and he begins to preach

[39:25] and he preaches the shortest message I

[39:27] thought a few weeks ago when I preached

[39:29] for 15 minutes on a Sunday morning Jonah

[39:32] says 40 days and N us shall be

[39:34] overthrown and he gives the invitation

[39:36] everybody gets right that's the whole

[39:38] message say preacher you should try that

[39:40] sometime I don't

[39:42] know these people were prepared God was

[39:45] already doing a

[39:47] work but we find after he repents God

[39:50] uses

[39:52] him so this this this afternoon I want I

[39:54] want to emphasize this to us the

[39:56] squeezing that we talked about in the

[39:58] morning

[40:00] message can shape you and make you into

[40:04] what God wants for you so he can use you

[40:06] in chapter three of your

[40:09] life to be used of God in chapter three

[40:12] Jonah had to go through chapter

[40:15] two now could have God used him without

[40:18] the whale absolutely because it's God

[40:20] who did the work but God chooses to use

[40:23] Broken Vessels and messed up people to

[40:27] accomplish Lish what he wants to

[40:29] accomplish so Jonah arrives in Nineveh

[40:33] after the word of God and he preaches

[40:34] what God tells him to preach so he rose

[40:37] and he went into Nineveh according to

[40:39] the word of the Lord verse three now

[40:41] Nineveh was an exceeding great city of

[40:44] three days

[40:45] journey so Jonah it's a big city it's a

[40:48] large city and they

[40:51] repent but in a hundred years there's

[40:53] another Prophet that comes and the

[40:55] destruction comes because they forsaken

[40:58] God so even though watch this this

[41:00] generation of ninevites got right God

[41:04] sends another prophet in a 100 years and

[41:07] he arrives on the scene and there's

[41:09] wickedness in the

[41:11] land why because if God only changes a

[41:15] generation and not multiple

[41:17] Generations negative effects will

[41:20] happen so as we heard in testimony today

[41:23] don't let God just change you let God

[41:25] change you and you pass it on to the

[41:26] next gener

[41:27] generation and the Next Generation and

[41:31] the Next

[41:32] Generation so Jonah he arrives in the

[41:35] city he preaches the message and

[41:37] everybody gets right they repent they

[41:40] cover themselves in sackcloth and Ashes

[41:43] they're getting right with God in

[41:46] chapter 4 verse one but it displeased

[41:48] Jonah

[41:50] exceedingly and he was very

[41:55] angry I want you to notice verse

[41:57] two and he

[42:02] prayed

[42:04] what he prayed unto the Lord while he

[42:07] was

[42:09] angry prayed un the Lord and said I pray

[42:12] thee Oh Lord was this not my saying when

[42:15] I was yet in my country therefore I fled

[42:18] before un tarus for I knew that thou art

[42:20] a gracious God and merciful slow to

[42:23] anger and of great kindness and

[42:25] repentance thee of evil

[42:27] uh what's your complaint

[42:30] Jonah let let's let's rewind that Jonah

[42:32] what did you say was so bad about God oh

[42:34] that you're a gracious God a merciful

[42:36] god slow to anger of great kindness and

[42:39] repentc of

[42:41] evil why are you angry

[42:45] Jonah Jonah the prophet Jonah the

[42:47] messenger why are you

[42:50] angry because he let his

[42:53] feelings for the ninevites and the

[42:55] Assyrians

[42:58] overtake what God had called him to

[43:03] do chapter two there's a

[43:06] squeezing chapter three there's a second

[43:09] chance chapter three there's the message

[43:12] in chapter four there's the displeasure

[43:15] and anger of

[43:19] Jonah it's amazing when we consider the

[43:23] rest of the chapter we're not we're

[43:24] going to stop right here in that section

[43:30] he's displeased because God is

[43:34] God he's displeased because God is

[43:38] merciful he's displeased because God is

[43:40] slow to anger because his feelings about

[43:43] those

[43:45] people

[43:47] overtook what God was trying to use

[43:51] Jonah to do

[43:58] and you and I would say shame on you

[44:00] Jonah that's bad you shouldn't behave

[44:03] that way you shouldn't act that way now

[44:05] wait a

[44:07] minute are there times in your

[44:10] life when you're feeling for those

[44:14] people affect what God wants you to do

[44:18] in their

[44:20] life don't you listen your feelings

[44:23] about those people

[44:27] affect you in such a way that one either

[44:30] you don't do what God's called you to do

[44:32] or two you get angry that God is

[44:35] merciful and

[44:40] gracious you ever been

[44:42] there you ever been those

[44:45] people they don't deserve God's grace

[44:49] look in the mirror neither do

[44:53] you those people they don't deserve

[44:55] God's mercy well neither do you neither

[44:59] do

[45:00] I watch this have you ever looked at a

[45:03] group of those people and it affected

[45:06] you doing what God wants you to do to

[45:09] those people and for those

[45:14] people how does that play out in our

[45:16] life there are some teachers who

[45:18] struggle with a troubled

[45:20] student and so because they're dealing

[45:22] with a troubled

[45:23] student it affects them so much

[45:28] that it hinders what God wants to do

[45:29] through them to

[45:31] him because all they see is the him and

[45:35] the behavior and they don't see what God

[45:37] wants to do in them to help him and so

[45:40] they're

[45:42] hindered hey it can happen to a Sunday

[45:44] school teacher it can happen to a bus

[45:47] worker it can happen to a pastor it can

[45:51] to happen to other brethren in the

[45:52] church that we start looking at those

[45:55] people and the those people affect us in

[45:59] such a way that we either one don't do

[46:03] what God wants us to do or two we get

[46:07] mad at God for being merciful and

[46:08] gracious to

[46:13] them what's the problem well our eyes

[46:15] are on those people and our eyes are not

[46:18] on

[46:21] him because when my eyes are on him it

[46:24] helps me to look at me

[46:27] because that's what he does through the

[46:29] word of God the Bible describes be

[46:31] holding our face in a glass it's like

[46:33] looking in the mirror when I look at God

[46:36] he shows me in the mirror what's

[46:39] wrong hey some people can come to church

[46:42] and not know that they got gravy on

[46:45] their tie from their biscuits and gravy

[46:48] that they got at Brams that

[46:50] morning they don't know that they got

[46:52] gravy on their

[46:54] tie then when you point out to like

[46:56] that's okay I save it for

[47:00] later they don't know why because they

[47:03] didn't look in the

[47:05] mirror now if you're a smart man you ask

[47:09] your

[47:11] wife am I

[47:14] okay she said well it's the best you can

[47:21] do I was talking to my wife just a few

[47:23] weeks ago and she said you know honey

[47:26] your hair

[47:28] keeps getting thinner and thinner and

[47:32] thinner I said thanks babe appreciate

[47:36] that but I reminded her grass doesn't

[47:39] grow on a busy highway so there's a lot

[47:42] of stuff going on up here

[47:45] no I told her I said don't worry if it

[47:49] gets real bad I'll go all the way Mr

[47:51] Clean and she goes no don't do that I

[47:54] said then don't criticize no

[47:59] but my wife helps

[48:00] me she says it looks

[48:04] okay I have I have five boys you know

[48:07] what a lot of the conversation I hear in

[48:08] the morning Mom does this look all right

[48:11] mom does this look

[48:12] good they never say Dad does this look

[48:15] all

[48:16] right I know why I know why there's

[48:21] three of them at a

[48:22] stage where they don't care if a guy

[48:25] says it looks right

[48:27] they want to make sure that a woman says

[48:31] that it looks

[48:34] good so I'm just going to start

[48:36] disagreeing with her it's like no that

[48:37] looks terrible you shouldn't wear that

[48:39] you look like a you shouldn't wear

[48:41] that I'm going to take all their shirts

[48:44] and ties replace them with pink and

[48:45] purple really get

[48:48] them be terrible

[48:51] nothing but when I look with my wife and

[48:55] when I look in the mirror I I can

[48:56] evaluate where I'm at and what needs

[48:59] worked

[49:00] on and God does that for us through his

[49:02] word when our eyes are on him we can

[49:05] evaluate through the word of God where

[49:07] we're at and what we need to work

[49:09] on God shows us and he reveals us well

[49:13] listen it's very easy to get a those

[49:17] people attitude and it affect how you

[49:20] teach your

[49:21] class because you start looking for the

[49:24] misbehavior

[49:26] you're just waiting for it to happen and

[49:29] then when it does happen you're going to

[49:30] jump on

[49:31] it instead love

[49:35] them a philosophy I tell young people

[49:37] especially that are becoming teachers is

[49:39] that you deal with the bad but you

[49:44] emphasize the

[49:45] good and when you emphasize the good

[49:48] most young people who are struggling

[49:50] with behavioral issues is because the

[49:53] only time somebody says their name or

[49:54] pays attention to them is when they act

[49:56] up

[49:58] and so if you're always giving attention

[50:00] to those that are doing right and those

[50:02] that are doing good those that that's

[50:03] the only reason why they're acting out

[50:05] is for attention they're going to start

[50:07] realizing hey I'll get more attention if

[50:08] I do

[50:09] right than I do if I do

[50:13] bad but here's Jonah he's got a those

[50:16] people

[50:16] attitude and it affects

[50:19] him you ever been there in your

[50:22] life you ever have moments

[50:28] I'm going hit a political issue you have

[50:31] moments where you're so angry at people

[50:34] who are entering the country illegally

[50:36] that you forget that God just put a

[50:38] mission field on your back

[50:44] porch there are souls that need a

[50:47] savior God brought the mission field to

[50:49] your

[50:52] neighborhood yes they didn't come

[50:55] correctly but they're here here might as

[50:57] well give them

[50:59] Jesus come on but it's easy to get those

[51:04] those those and we miss hey God put them

[51:06] in your neighborhood for you to witness

[51:08] to them you to preach to them you to

[51:09] talk to them about the

[51:10] Lord but if we're not careful get to

[51:12] those people attitude just like Jonah

[51:14] did now the nites and Assyrians they are

[51:17] wicked

[51:18] people they were so wicked in chapter

[51:21] one it says that their wickedness their

[51:23] great wickedness God described it as

[51:24] great wickedness not just their they

[51:27] great

[51:29] wickedness but Jonah let his feelings

[51:31] about the people

[51:33] affect him in such a way that when God

[51:35] was merciful gracious and slow to anger

[51:38] he got angry about

[51:40] it so let me ask

[51:42] you is there are those people in your

[51:45] life is there are those people that

[51:48] affect you in such a way that when God

[51:51] does something in them or for them you

[51:54] get angry and displeased

[51:58] need to evaluate your

[52:00] heart see where you're at well how will

[52:03] I know we look in the mirror of the word

[52:06] of God Psalm 139 David said it this way

[52:09] search me oh God and know my heart try

[52:11] me and know my thoughts and see if there

[52:13] be any wicked way in me it is not look

[52:17] in the mirror how good I look it's

[52:21] God is there anything I'm

[52:24] missing is there anything I need to work

[52:28] on God I give you permission to point

[52:31] out the areas in my life that are a

[52:37] struggle our nation needs to come back

[52:39] to the

[52:41] Lord got an important election cycle

[52:44] coming up you ought to

[52:45] vote you ought to vote the way God tells

[52:48] you to

[52:49] vote plain and

[52:51] simple it's God who brings up leaders

[52:54] God who pulls them down and he brings

[52:55] them up even people that we don't think

[52:57] ought to be up God brings them up for

[52:59] such a time as

[53:01] this I don't know why God works the way

[53:03] he works but his ways are not our ways

[53:05] and his thoughts are not our thoughts

[53:07] but maybe he brought it up so we'd pay

[53:09] attention and be more thankful for God

[53:12] instead of getting settled on our

[53:14] leaves but

[53:16] here our final thought

[53:18] today as we consider Jonah chapter

[53:22] 3 is that Jonah preaches and the people

[53:25] get right the people repent

[53:26] and God could still do

[53:29] that if God could do it for Nineveh who

[53:32] had great wickedness God could do it for

[53:34] America but what is God looking for he's

[53:37] looking for people who've been squeezed

[53:41] to become life lessons to other

[53:47] people people do not care what you know

[53:49] till they know that you

[53:50] care so let's show

[53:53] them how God has squeezed us and made us

[53:56] into what he wants us to be to be life

[54:00] lesson

[54:04] illustrations 10 plus years

[54:07] ago I had never spent the night in a

[54:09] hospital except for when my wife had

[54:12] given birth to our

[54:13] children I've never spent the night in

[54:15] the

[54:17] hospital had surgery as you know spent a

[54:20] lot of time in the hospital 33 days that

[54:23] first time

[54:26] woke up from surgery kidney functions

[54:30] not happening on

[54:32] dialysis that's SC of you know di is no

[54:36] is no fun all the blood go out of your

[54:39] body go get cleaned through the machine

[54:40] get put back in it wears you out and

[54:42] you're just laying there or sitting

[54:43] there it does it drains you

[54:49] completely i' never been through

[54:51] anything like that before

[54:57] and I'd been out of the hospital back on

[55:00] Church staff working with the church and

[55:03] one of the first hospital visits I had

[55:05] to make as a pastoral staff assistant

[55:08] was somebody in our church who was going

[55:10] through

[55:12] dialysis I remember walking into their

[55:14] room and sitting down and talking to

[55:16] them I'm 32 years old at the time 32

[55:20] years old I remember walking in the room

[55:22] sitting down with him and start talking

[55:23] to him and for the first time ever in

[55:25] pastor stal Ministry I could say I know

[55:28] what you're going

[55:32] through I'd never had that before I'd

[55:35] walk into hospital rooms and say I pray

[55:37] for you I never knew what it was like to

[55:39] lay in the bed for longer periods of

[55:41] time never knew what it was like to go

[55:43] through dialysis never knew what it was

[55:45] like to have pneumonia never knew what

[55:46] it was like to be intubated never knew

[55:47] what it was like to have negative

[55:49] responses to Anesthesia never knew what

[55:51] any of that stuff was like before

[55:56] so I can tell you from the bottom of my

[55:57] heart this I

[55:59] know 10 years ago and a few months ago's

[56:04] process in my life was a molding and a

[56:09] shaping to be a life

[56:13] lesson for

[56:17] God and now I can empathize with people

[56:20] and help them more effectively as a

[56:23] pastor because I understand things that

[56:26] I never knew

[56:28] before now I don't recommend going

[56:32] through those processes in order to be

[56:33] more effective in

[56:35] Ministry don't recommend it at

[56:39] all and on days when I get discouraged

[56:42] because it's not moving as fast as I

[56:44] want it to I remind myself that just a

[56:48] few months

[56:50] ago I couldn't be up here I was in a

[56:55] wheelchair chair and rolled down

[56:59] there three months before that I remind

[57:03] myself that I could not

[57:08] stand at

[57:10] all I had lost the ability to stand

[57:16] up just a

[57:18] few now we're getting ready to go into

[57:21] October eight months ago I could not do

[57:25] this

[57:28] so wait

[57:30] wait the moments of discouragement that

[57:33] I dealt with in that time was a molding

[57:34] and a

[57:36] shaping that just this past week I dealt

[57:39] with someone who was dealing with

[57:41] discouragement and I reminded them of

[57:43] this truth that there are moments of

[57:45] discouragement in your life you ought to

[57:46] remind yourself where God has brought

[57:48] you

[57:49] from and remember where God's trying to

[57:51] bring you to

[57:56] and Jonah was a life lesson for the

[57:59] ninevites through the squeezing process

[58:02] now I don't know what God's doing in

[58:03] your life to squeeze you and shape you

[58:06] and mold you and make you but listen we

[58:09] heard it in the song I'm molding a

[58:13] masterpiece hands of God pressure

[58:19] applied to mold it into what it needs to

[58:22] be

[58:26] the original

[58:28] plan was I think two weeks ago to sing

[58:31] that very

[58:35] song but God was doing some

[58:38] molding in their family and he's still

[58:41] doing some

[58:43] molding and it's

[58:45] taken three plus years right three years

[58:48] since three years of God molding and

[58:52] shaping and doing some work

[58:58] why so they can stand up here and sing a

[59:01] song and your pastor can sit back there

[59:03] and understanding his mind God's doing

[59:07] something God's got

[59:09] fingerprints God's put pressure on it

[59:12] and

[59:13] fingerprints brother scooter sits on the

[59:16] other side of the

[59:18] aisle things that happened in his life

[59:21] with his brain injury that he dealt with

[59:23] you know what God did put some pressure

[59:29] molding and I could go around the room

[59:32] and mention story after story after

[59:34] story after

[59:37] Story of God's fingerprints and God's

[59:40] pressure in lives shaping us to be a

[59:44] masterpiece for

[59:46] him so that our lives can say look what

[59:50] God has

[59:52] done but we don't always enjoy the

[59:54] squeezing we don't always enjoy the

[59:56] pressure but God always needs to get the

[59:59] glory for all the great things he has

[60:02] done would you bow your

[60:04] heads we're just going to play through

[60:06] an invitation song Kathy could you play

[60:08] an invitation song we're not going to

[60:09] sing anything we're just going to play

[60:11] an invitation

[60:13] song so I think there's some people here

[60:15] today that need to talk to God and maybe

[60:18] you responded in the morning invitation

[60:20] but I really believe God wants you to

[60:22] talk to him

[60:23] today and some of you may need to come

[60:25] and say God thank you for putting the

[60:26] pressure and the fingerprints on my

[60:29] life thank you for molding

[60:32] me I know you're still working on me

[60:35] you're creating in me a clean heart some

[60:38] of you need to come get right because

[60:40] people you to let God help you deal with

[60:43] the these people thoughts that you got

[60:45] in your life whatever God's doing in

[60:48] your life you need to talk to him some

[60:51] of you just need to come thank God thank

[60:53] God for how he works in your life and

[60:55] what he's done for you the instruments

[60:58] begin to play you right now do what God

[61:01] would have you to do don't hesitate

[61:03] don't wait just step out and do what God
