[0:01] On World News Tonight this Friday, the
[0:03] crisis in the White House. ABC News has
[0:05] new details about what Monica Lewinsky
[0:07] says went on and the president's
[0:10] defenders say he is the victim of an
[0:13] independent prosecutor out to get him.
[0:16] And the media rushing to judgment. We'll
[0:18] take a closer look
[0:26] from ABC News World Headquarters in New
[0:29] York, Friday, January 23rd.
[0:33] This is World News Tonight with Peter
[0:35] Jennings. Good evening. The White House
[0:37] crisis pretty much dominates the news
[0:39] again tonight. The president's crisis
[0:41] team has spent the day trying to figure
[0:42] out the best way for him to defend
[0:45] himself against charges of illicit sex
[0:47] and cover up. Throughout the country,
[0:49] people are sad or angry, frustrated, fed
[0:52] up. There's enormous pressure on Mr.
[0:54] Clinton to explain himself. Today,
[0:57] someone with specific knowledge of what
[0:59] it is that Monica Lewinsky says really
[1:02] took place between her and the president
[1:04] has been talking to ABC's Jackie Jut.
[1:08] The source says Monica Lewinsky claims
[1:11] she would visit the White House for sex
[1:13] with Mr. Clinton in the early evening or
[1:16] early mornings on the weekends when
[1:18] certain aids who would find her presence
[1:20] disturbing were not at the office.
[1:23] According to the source, Lewinsky says
[1:25] she saved apparently as a kind of
[1:27] souvenir a navy blue dress with the
[1:29] president's seaman stain on it. If true,
[1:32] this could provide physical evidence of
[1:34] what really happened. And what was
[1:37] Lewinsky told to say about the affair
[1:39] after receiving a subpoena from lawyers
[1:41] for Paula Jones? Our source says
