[20:57] burden on his heart that he was praying

[20:58] and talking to God for these four

[21:02] months had not showed up on his face

[21:06] yet but if something's heavy on your

[21:10] heart for a period of time it will

[21:14] affect your

[21:16] face and nehemiah's face is affected by

[21:20] the praying day and

[21:24] night so he's been at work day after day

[21:30] after day at the end of verse one it

[21:32] said now I had not been before times sad

[21:35] in his

[21:37] presence wherefore the king said unto me

[21:40] why is thy countenance sad seeing Thou

[21:43] Art not sick this is nothing else but

[28:42] Nehemiah has this burden in chapter

[28:56] opportunity and then four four months

[29:04] came so some things to remember some

[30:05] God on a regular basis with a dirty

[30:10] heart you got to have a clean

[30:13] heart so Nehemiah he continues to pray

[30:17] day and night while he's

[30:19] waiting don't stop

[30:22] praying don't stop

[30:26] praying secondly

[30:30] wait wait the psalmist said wait I say

[30:35] wait until God says go don't get ahead

[30:50] talks about waiting and having patience

[30:54] and waiting on the

[30:56] Lord they get discour encouraging when

[31:00] waiting keep praying keep your heart

[31:04] clean keep waiting on the

[31:09] Lord but when he opens the

[31:13] door step through

[31:15] it don't hang out in the

[31:18] hallway when God's opened the door for

[31:21] you to go

[31:23] through now you say well I don't know if

[31:25] God opened the door or not well then

[31:27] send up a flare

[31:28] prayer Lord is this what you want me to

[31:31] do and if it's God's will he'll direct

[31:34] you to go through the door to step

[31:36] through that door and be where God wants

[35:34] fire and the saddest

[36:49] it and you feel at times you are not

[37:01] enough and because of that the danger of

[37:05] apathy creeping into your heart to say I

[37:08] just don't

[37:11] care and some days you wake up and you

[37:13] care a little bit

[37:15] more and other days it's never going to

[37:19] change it's always going to be the

[37:23] same the people of the

[37:25] land woke up

[37:28] with the gates down woke up with the

[37:31] burned

[37:32] walls woke up with a pile of rubble some

[37:35] of them took their same Animal by that

[37:38] Rubble pile day after day after day but

[37:42] Nehemiah saw it

[37:44] differently and Nehemiah saw it

[37:47] differently because the good hand of God

[37:49] that was upon him and he knew what God

[37:52] had put in his heart to do and because

[37:55] Nehemiah saw it differently and Nehemiah

[37:57] felt differently about it and Nehemiah

[37:59] had been waiting for 4

[38:02] months before this moment

[38:08] came he arrives in the city he sees the

[38:13] distress but he doesn't see it like the

[38:15] people who've seen it day after day

[38:17] after day know something in

[38:20] Nehemiah infected his spirit in a such a

[38:24] way that he can't help but talk about

[38:26] what God wants to do in the nation of

[38:30] Israel and especially in the city of

[38:34] Jerusalem but he had to wait it wasn't

[38:37] time yet he had to wait four

[38:42] months then he had a journey from Iran

[38:45] and then he sat in the town for three

[38:48] days before he took his trip he's

[38:50] waiting on God's timing he's waiting on

[38:53] when the Lord told him to go he's

[38:56] waiting

[38:57] he's waiting and in the process of

[39:00] waiting he continues to pray he

[39:03] continues to seek the Lord he continues

[39:05] to keep his heart

[39:07] right in the process of waiting on the

[39:09] Lord stay faithful to

[41:38] enough and on a day where she said I

[41:41] don't have

[41:44] enough the voice of God for the day

[41:46] Elijah said unto

[41:48] her God is more than

[41:52] enough he said the cruise of oil Will

[41:55] Not Waste neither be of meal shall not

[41:58] fail the Cru of oil shall not fail the

[41:59] bare meal shall not waste till the day

[42:01] that the Lord sent his Reign upon the

[42:03] Earth on the days that you and I

[42:07] feel that we are not

[42:10] enough you're in a good

[42:14] place because when you and I recognize

[42:17] that we are not enough we know that God

[42:19] is more than

[42:21] enough the cruise of oil did not

[42:24] overflow the barrel of meal did not

[42:26] multiply get bigger and bigger but every

[42:29] day it was more than

[42:31] enough every day it was more than enough

[42:34] day after day after day more than

[42:39] enough that's what God is for every one

[42:42] of us he's more than

[42:49] enough the nation of Israel had

[42:52] forgotten that they had gotten to a

[42:55] place

[42:57] where they were

[42:59] okay with the destruction of the

[43:03] city they were okay that sand ballot and

[43:05] tobah came by

[43:07] often some writers believe they were

[43:10] governors of the region and would come

[43:11] in and torment the

[43:14] people they gotten used to the

[43:17] destruction in the land they' grown

[43:21] apathetic to the

[43:23] rubble they had reached a point in their

[43:26] life

[43:30] okay when God

[43:33] said that's the place as we saw in verse

[43:37] chapter one in Nehemiah that I've put my

[43:41] there it's the place where the temple

[43:43] that zerubabel rebuilt is at it's the

[43:46] place where Ezra The Scribe has been the

[43:49] governor the last 16 years it's a place

[43:52] of God's working and God's miraculous

[43:56] working that he' done for many many

[43:59] centuries but yet they got

[44:02] accustom got

[44:04] apathetic to the broken down

[44:09] walls we talked about it this morning

[44:11] when you hear the distress of the

[44:13] land when you hear about the wickedness

[44:16] of the land does it move you to pray as

[44:19] Nehemiah because he had a tender heart

[44:21] to

[44:23] pray but in chapter two Nehemiah sees

[44:27] it and when he sees it it motivates him

[44:31] to

[44:33] action and he goes and in Nehemiah watch

[44:37] this the beginning of the chapter he

[44:39] says I will build

[44:44] it and next Sunday morning we're going

[44:48] to see the rest of the

[44:51] story when God puts a burden in a man's

[44:53] heart to do what God wants to do and God

[44:56] puts his hand of enabling upon it and

[44:59] God allows him to rise up with other

[45:02] people great things can be accomplished

[45:04] for God we're going to talk about it

[45:10] morning so you may not have walls broken

[45:13] down at your

[45:16] house sometimes in our spiritual life we

[45:18] get wore

[45:20] down we've been knocked down a time or

[45:24] two we've been overtaken

[45:27] we've grown

[45:30] weary we deal with things that nobody

[45:32] else knows that we deal

[45:36] with and we get so

[45:39] tired so

[45:43] frustrated with the walls being

[45:46] down we get

[45:49] tired he came to give us life and life

[45:52] more

[45:54] abundantly if your life's not living

[45:56] living the Abundant Christian Life you

[45:58] might want to recognize where the walls

[46:01] are down

[46:04] at you might want to take

[46:07] inventory if you walked in

[46:10] tonight this cold January night I want

[46:13] to remind you of something God is

[46:18] more than

[46:21] enough and he's not always going to

[46:24] overflow your cup

[46:27] but he's always more than

[46:31] enough some may be dealing with

[46:33] struggles in their

[46:35] life that you don't even tell other

[46:37] people about the only person you talk to

[46:39] about it is

[46:40] God but my friend God

[46:44] knows God knows all about him and he's

[46:48] more than

[46:50] enough the heaviness that's on your

[46:52] heart tonight God is more than enough

[46:56] some May in the room and there's

[46:57] decisions to be made for your life and

[47:00] right now you're in a holding pattern

[47:02] God said hang on not

[47:05] yet just

[47:07] wait and we saying God would you hurry

[47:10] up and God says no because in the

[47:13] waiting there's growth and in the

[47:17] waiting there's trusting and in the

[47:20] waiting he's working so in the waiting

[47:24] pray keep your heart clean

[47:27] when God opens the door don't stay in

[47:29] the

[47:31] hallway be in an attitude of prayer

[47:36] day Nehemiah talks to these men says you

[47:40] see the distress that we're

[47:43] in to paraphrase it open your

[47:47] eyes open your eyes and

[47:51] see what I

[47:55] see some of us need to to listen to God

[47:58] tonight God says to our heart open your

[48:03] eyes so you can see what I

[48:06] see not me but what God sees in your

[48:10] life the struggles you have the things

[48:13] that you're

[48:15] facing open your

[48:20] eyes God is

[48:22] more than

[48:24] enough many days and First Kings it

[48:29] says she did according to the how word

[48:32] of the Lord and Elijah her and her house

[48:35] did eat many

[48:37] days and wasted not because God is more

[48:42] than

[48:47] enough sometimes in the life of

[48:51] pastoring you can want

[48:54] more and God says not

[48:57] yet you got to be sensitive to the

[49:00] leadership of

[49:02] God and sometimes you recognize that God

[49:06] is more than

[49:09] enough but he doesn't overflow the

[49:13] basket because if he overflowed the

[49:15] basket you know what might happen to

[49:17] some of us we might sit back and say

[49:20] yeah look what I

[49:24] got I wonder sometimes if God does

[49:26] doesn't bless us in certain ways because

[49:29] he knows we couldn't handle it because

[49:31] we'd get the big

[49:33] head and we'd struggle with

[49:36] pride so God says no you're not ready

[49:40] for it

[49:41] yet so he keeps us in a position of

[49:46] dependence upon

[49:50] Him God's more than enough for you God's

[49:54] more than enough for me

[49:56] and the waiting pattern and the

[50:00] holding four months he

[50:03] prayed and then the day

[50:07] came don't

[50:09] quit Nehemiah for four months before

[50:12] that day came he just kept serving kept

[50:16] serving kept serving kept serving kept

[50:20] serving kept serving kept serving the

[50:24] Bible says his face had not been sad

[50:26] before him

[50:27] him if it says that it means

[50:30] that he kept serving he kept serving he

[50:33] kept

[50:34] serving and when God's got you in the

[50:36] holding pattern just serve where God's

[50:38] put

[50:39] you just serve where God has you and

[50:42] just wait on God to open the door and

[50:46] when he does don't stay in the hallway

[50:49] go through the door that God's

[50:54] eyes psalmist said search me oh God and

[50:59] thoughts and see if there be any wicked

[51:14] wall the areas that is tore

[51:17] down the struggles that you're dealing

[51:19] with that nobody else knows about but

[51:24] God God shining the light on it and he

[51:27] has a message for you tonight God says I

[51:30] am more than enough to help you repair

[51:36] and help you rebuild the wall that's

[51:39] been torn down in your life the damage

[51:43] that you are facing tonight God is more

[51:46] than enough to help you get restored

[51:52] tonight would you stand together with

[51:54] your heads bowed and eyes closed

[51:57] he's more than enough and in the waiting

[52:02] on God's

[52:07] praying keep trusting

[52:11] God and let God open your eyes so you

[52:15] can see where the walls are

[56:52] Manuel who had knee replacement surgery

[56:54] this coming Wednesday um my mom is

[56:57] having KNE replacement surgery so pray

[56:59] for her and then also uh Kathy kubik's

[57:03] mom is having cancer surgery this coming

[57:06] Wednesday morning and so be in prayer

[57:08] for her if you would can't remember her

[57:10] first name right now but I encourage you

[57:13] to pray for Miss Cathy's Billy yeah so
