[0:24] >> Good evening. I'm Judy Woodruff in
[0:25] Washington
[0:26] >> and I'm Robert McNeel in New York. After
[0:29] the news summary this Tuesday, we look
[0:30] at the rising AIDS menace among American
[0:33] teenagers. Elizabeth Brackett talks to
[0:35] teens in Chicago, and we have a debate
[0:37] between the Bush administration, a
[0:39] congressional critic, and two field
[0:41] experts on how to make teenagers realize
[0:44] the risk. Then, correspondent Spencer
[0:46] Michaels reports on the California
[0:48] battle over TV ads in the classroom.
[0:53] >> Part of helping the world live and
[0:54] communicate better is keeping it well
[0:57] informed.

[1:33] Yeltson's decree-making powers for at
[1:35] least 3 months. Yeltson, who didn't
[1:37] attend today's session, agreed to work
[1:39] towards softening some reforms. The
[1:42] compromise agreement followed several
[1:43] days of bickering between the parliament
[1:45] dominated by hardliners and Yeltson's
[1:47] government. The US and other Western
[1:50] nations had expressed concern over the
[1:52] conflict, which threatened to jeopardize
[1:54] a $ 24 billion Western aid package for
[1:57] Russia. In Washington today, reporters
[1:59] asked Secretary of State Baker to assess
[2:01] Yeltson's political future.
